Our first time staying in the awesome cabin. Check in was a breeze. Our host Cheryl is a gem. We spent a week with our family. Check out was also so easy. Would recommend this location any time. My husband is handicapped but we did well. We loved stargazing at night. This home is fully equipped for cooking or grilling:
Such a great historic home and so close to everything! The house was huge and perfect for our family vacation. We had everything we needed and the hosts met us to welcome us when we arrived.
Check-in was easy and the owners are wonderful. very well equipped kitchen and lots of space for everyone. Beautiful piece of property, we will be back!.
Beautiful and spacious cabin! Very clean and great views! Close to many great things to do in the Custer area. The hosts were excellent, helpful, and accommodating! Highly recommend for stays in the Black Hills area!
The cabin was nice. The location was great, close to town yet, far enough away that you still felt like you were in a quiet place. There were a lot of beds for people to sleep. They weren't overly comfortable, but they worked. The mosquitos were very bad and it was unseasonably hot when we stayed there. There was no ac, and when it gets to 97 degrees everyday, it was quite hot. I would stay there again, but only in the cooler months since there is no ac. Overall it was a nice getaway with family. I've never stayed somewhere like this, I'd suggest taking pics of things that you notice are damaged to the property and let owners know so that you don't get charged or blamed for something you didn't do. There was an etching on the table of a make of nobody in our family and we never removed the tablecloth on the table, so I didn't know it was even there. We didn't get charged, but still something to be aware of if you are new to this process.
Beautiful cabin setting close to Custer but far enough away from everything to enjoy campfires and porch swings. Our family and grandkids had a wonderful time and Cheryl and Frank were such great hosts! The banana bread was delicious
We loved our stay at the Blessing log cabin. It was roomy and comfy, with lots of space for us. The host & hostess are very accommodating & good to work with. Loved the homemade goodies they left for us. Would definitely recommend this property, the convenience of being close to town was a plus! Thank you Frank & Cheryl for sharing your beautiful property!!
Overall a very enjoyable stay. Location in Custer was excellent to area activities. There were some areas of the home that were in need of repair and looked like they had been this way for sometime. Nice home for a larger group.
We were in Custer for our daughterâs wedding and several family members stayed with us. Hosts were very accommodating and the banana bread and cookies were delicious! Had plenty room for everyone and it was very relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.
A group of 6 of us stayed in the cabin for 4 nights and found it delightful. It was clean and comfortable. The (2) porches were amazing places to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. We grilled out one evening on the BBQ grill and ate outside. Perfect setting!!!
This was our second visit to Custer and we loved this house's proximity to town, the state park, and other destinations. The interior is spacious and very well taken care of. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were updated, decks were gorgeous. Lots of beautiful outdoor space for the kids to run around and climb on rocks. There was some road noise when sitting on the side deck especially, but for us the trade-off of being so close to town was worth it.
Our family loved staying at the Blessing home. There was enough room for everyone to spread out and relax after adventuring all day. The location was central to everything we wanted to see and do. Very clean and well maintained. There were books and games if we wanted to use them. Every kitchen utensil/appliance we needed was available. The host is amazing! We loved this stay and hope to be back in the future!
Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay, with nice accommodations and plenty of space to spread out. A few things would improve the stay - a fan in every room or better yet window air conditioning units since the swamp coolers didn't function properly. Also, a mirror in every room would be appreciated. The washing machine put tiny holes in a couple of new shirts that were washed in it, so check that out. Thanks for plenty of dishes and pans. You do need to replace one of the frying pans since the handle is about to come off, and the carbon monoxide is outdated and needs to be replaced, as well. Addressing these items will improve the stay for future guests. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us!
Location was perfect except that itâs so close to the highway. Lots of noise. Had to sleep with windows open as there is no air conditioning.
Perfect for families. Lots of space.
Clean. Everything youâd need to stay was available.
This was a great place for my family of 6 to have ample space for fun and relaxation.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable.
The location is just outside of Custer, which made driving around very convenient. The trade off is some highway noise, which was only noticeable when we were on the deck.
As a bonus, it was nice to have the Mickelson trail so close.
We would definitely stay here again.
It was an amazing. Fresh baked goodies greeted us when we came in. Anything we could have needed was available. We cooked and barbecue everyday. It was so convenient as a cental location to take day trips to Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore and the 1800s Train! We'll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful time was probably the hottest weekend but at nights it cooled off they had little ac things that helped keep upstairs cool was very clean and owner were very nice and helpful it had lots of room for our family outside area was always wonderful for everyone they left banana bread and cookies for us had everything you needed to cook and enjoy the wonderful cabin thanks again
Perfect! Each family had their own rooms, bed numbers fit us exactly. Ample parking, fire pit was great and kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. We want to make this an annual trip to this same house! Kids loved the rocks to climb and enjoyed "Martin" the Marmet when he showed up. Even the cows were friendly! Host was a dear.
Excellent stay and location. FYI - there is air conditioning on the main level but not upstairs bedrooms, however it does cool off at night and having the windows open really brought the temps down and it was very comfortable (in June) Host was very welcoming and friendly - would highly recommend staying here!
Great home for a family vacation. Well equipped with everything required for short or long stay. Very large comfortable home for family togetherness or places for solitude. Location perfect for exploring the Black Hills. Owner very responsive to all inquiries. Highly recommend.
Had a great time at this cabin. Loved the outdoor area, just wish it wasnât so close to the main road. They had fun outdoor and indoor games for the kids, the kitchen had just about everything you would need. Cheryl was friendly and gave us a full tour of the cabin when checking in. Great place for a large group.
