Mr. Frank communicated well through entire process. Loved being right on creek and fishing off dock. Dock is set up for cleaning fish also. Will be back

House was well stocked and perfect for us, Great dock and perfect for parking/battery charging my bass boat. Great visit!

Winter vacation

Had an issue with the heat pump, and the owner was very responsive. The river view was great.

Yes the heat pump/air conditioner deside to die for no reason on Friday, it was only 7. Replacement was to be Tuesday Morning which was very fast. We gave you two electric heaters and the use of our other property around the corner for the cooler nights. Something we could not have prevented.

Dunn's Creek Retreat is a very nice place right on the creek between the St. John's River and Crescent Lake. Excellent for fishing and boating enthusiasts. We found a shallow sand bar near Dunn's Creek State Park, just right for swimming with our 11 & 8 year old grand kids. The home is well furnished with plenty of kitchen equipment, cookware, dinnerware and such. The washer and dryer were convenient for keeping up with our laundry, boat towels and household items. We enjoyed having our coffee on the screened-in porch every morning and supper there in the afternoons after the storms cooled down the heat. (our stay was during the end of June)Frank is an excellent host, very easy to communicate with, responding quickly to all of our questions and needs. I highly recommend this spot for anyone that loves staying on the waterfront for boating, fishing and enjoying the wildlife scenery ! !

Wonderful!

Absolutley loved the house! Comfortable, everything we needed. Location is wonderful on the water. Great dock and outside area. Quiet neighborhood and nice neighbors. Host was easy to work with and made sure things went well. Would stay at the Retreat again!

Dunn's Creek

Frank was easy to work with. This facility is right on the water, with a nice dock to sit out on and enjoy the water. The bed's were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with what we needed. Our only complaint was the grass was in dire need of cutting.

Outstanding. Scenery was wonderful. Brought two boats and ran to St John’s. Caught a god number of catfish on dock. Saw bald eagles each day and owls gators and more. Caught over 100 fish on trip. Dont bring anything but food/beverage. House has it all. Well appointed. You will not go wrong here!!!

When we opened the door it felt like coming home. The home is so welcoming and comfortable. You feel like you are out in the countryside but within 15 minutes you can be eating in fine dining or have a fast burger.We spent many relaxing hours in the large screened in porch watching the water float by and wildlife entertain us. We had only one reason to contact our host, I locked us out, he answered the phone and updated our code and did not make me feel like an idiot.You will not be disappointed with this property with the exception of wishing you had booked two weeks instead of one.

Great fishing

This is a difficult review to write. We enjoyed the fishing and wildlife. What made our stay uncomfortable was backyard construction on sea wall and unfinished boat lifts. The owner had no control over delays I would recommend renting after all construction is finished.

Satsuma getaway

House was very clean, organized and well equipped. The outside area had a very new seawall, however the area around the dock was apparently in the midst of a renovation. There were weeds growing throughout the sand and mulch that had been spread, and much more material was waiting to be put down. Outside tables and chairs were moldy and overhead dock roof was full of mud daubers and wasps.

The dock is fine and very usable yes there is sand on the edge of the seawall which is settling as normal but it is very safe and usable. Yes the rain which we have none for months spouted the new grass and just this week we increased yard maintenance and mowing to once a week. There is no wasp nest this is checked regilarly and mud wasp do not sting since this property is along the river/wetlands this is more prevalent then other areas. It has been address/clean as we usually do it a couple time a summer. We did try to call you as we usually do with all guests when they check in. I left you my number, but I didn’t hear back from you so I thought everything was OK. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Thank you for your comments and leaving out home clean it was appreciated.

perfect for extra house

They had everything you could possibly need for a stay. Stocked supplies for cooking, bedding and more. Loved the birds and wild life we would see every morning. A Dollar General was 2 miles away for grocery emergency needs. A Greenway that led to additional fishing and running, or biking was within running or riding range. Very quiet neighborhood. Internet was easy to use and fast. Will definitely come back, I don't want to write a good review because I want this all to myself, but that was awesome.
