The house was on a river, but access to the river was hard, there was no where to sit by the water, and there are only 3 rooms, not 4. Staff was helpful, but description was inaccurate. Jacuzzi is a tub in the master, not for everyone.
This cabin was awesome! It had everything our family needed and more. It was located just 10 min from town and the ski lifts and just far enough away for some piece and quiet as well. We highly recommend. Thank you
Adrian
The house is very nice and was very clean. It does have a few issues that were of concern for me. The slats missing on the upstairs balcony, heaters on the floors that were broken it has an AC control but does not work. Bring fans if you are coming. It shows 4 bedrooms but 2 rooms are coverted together with a sliding door between the beds is not a room. The pictures they have posted are not accurately taken. Other than these issues we did have a good time and enjoyed our trip.
The house layout is great for bigger families or multiple families. All the furniture was great, nicely done. The house needs some TLC though, dirty stained carpet, broken chairs, front door needs weather stripping, some paint needs touched up, etc. The location isn't too bad just outside of RR. Peaceful for sure.
We really enjoyed the open concept feel of the cabin and loved all of the decks/balconies around the home. We were very close to downtown Red River, only 10-15 minutes away. The distance made it very easy to make spur of the moment ski/shopping plans. However, our initial understanding of the property was that it had a jacuzzi hot tub, we did not realize until later that the jacuzzi was a jet bathtub. This could be better explained in the advertisement. We also did not receive any firewood on our first evening as stated in the advertisement. While these and a few other hiccups occurred, the staff was very kind and quick to respond in order to resolve most if not all issues. Overall, we recommend this cabin as a great place for family and friends to spend some time away from home together.
Our family really loved staying at this beautiful home. I canât say enough about the decor (regional but tasteful) and the views (sitting on the back deck was the highlight of my vacation)! My husband and kids loved being able to fish right behind the house, and I appreciated being able to keep an eye on them from the deck. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we cooked at home every meal. My only complaint was the WiFi. WiFi was scetchy at best, which was a problem since my husband had planned on working a little during our week. I know that may not be important to everyone, but if youâre planning to work remotely, I would double check with the rental company before booking. Speaking of, this is our second time to stay with RRR, and we have been very happy with their service. We loved this home, and plan to stay here again!
Property very clean, centrally located. Pictures onThe web site make the house seem bigger than it is, 3 bedrooms on 2nd floor are kinda combined. Worked out fine with us all being family but would had been a little in everyoneâs business if we werenât. The stove was broken and the outdoor fire pit didnât work and the house had no generator and the electricity went out several times. Beds were comfy, overall it was a good stay.
This is our 5th year to come to Red River for a family spring break ski trip. This was our best house so far. There were 11 of us and we had plenty of room and amenities were very nice. It was very comfortable and accessible for all we wanted to do in the area.

The view and area were amazing. Some of the rooms would not heat up so it was very cold. Refrigerator partly work, Maintenace had to fix, and parts were on order. It had plenty of rooms and space. My grandchildren loved the books, and the puzzles were a hit. Overall, we did enjoy our stay but had to overcome some issues.
House is nice. Great location!!!! Needs some TLC. House was cleaned before arrival but attention to detail is needed!!
House needs some up keep. Tiles are loose, trim coming off doors, wind blows through house pretty good. Must have doors locked or they will blow open. House is 4.6 miles from Taos, but takes over an hour to get to Taos Ski. Trash was left in garage when we arrived. I have a hard time paying what we did and then having to take your trash 3 miles into town!! If you are paying for a house and service you should receive service!!! We got snow during our trip and no snow maintenance was done for the 3 days!! When we left the driveway had a foot and half pile up on the drive trying to enter the road!! 2 wheel drive could not make it out. WE had a hard time checking in, but after that it was okay,
Overall.. Nice place, it was clean, except for trash left and poor service from the agencies renting the house,
This house has so many beautiful features. Nice furniture, upgraded appliances and a comfortable bed. But, when you walk in, there is an instant smell. Look down and you see filthy carpet everywhere. The kind of carpet you donât want to walk without shoes on. Again, nice features, nice upgrades but, the flooring, oh wow. The back door is covered in scratches, so I assume they are pet stains. The thing that attracted us in the pictures were the two red chairs by the river. The river is beautiful to sit by, but you donât want to sit in those chairs. They are rickety and about to fall apart. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck, but when we tried to use the fire table, we had about 5 minutes of propane. There is also dust everywhere- fixtures, shelves, baseboards, blinds- it just needs a good cleaning and the carpet should be replaced. Our check in wasnât great either- the young lady didnât know much about anything and barely had a smile for us. We had no check out info, so we did what we typically do at other rentals and took sheets off, etc⊠I did ask if there was a dumpster and she wasnât familiar with the property, so we should take our trash with us and throw in a dumpster in town. We ended up leaving a day early because the smell in the house was too much for us. We did enjoy Red River- it is a cute little town :)
Very clean, spacious, the views were unbelievably beautiful & the weather was perfect! There were small issues that needed to be fix/loose tile, slow drain in the master bathroom sinks, one leaky toilet, no fire wood starters - we did have plenty of fire wood but we still had a great time. The morning were to check out, It was snowing (what a beautiful sight). I was able to talk with Chad the new manager, he was so nice & reassuring that all that needed fixing would be fixed. We unfortunately had to check out that day. All in all we loved it there and will go back and will let family and friends know about this beautiful place! Chad as long as you fix what needs to be fixed it will be a great place for families to enjoy! Oh !! we also saw Elk on some of our hikes... An awesome experience for our granddaughters & the rest of the family !
This property and the location, amenities, and furnishings were amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the all of the decks, but especially the deck running the length of the house. The gas fire pit was a nice addition. Beautiful views of the mountain and river from the back deck included seeing deer one evening and even a beautiful 7 point buck one morning right beside the deck! We had plenty of privacy too, even though technically in a âneighborhood.
The furnishings in the house were very âcabin-likeâ and high end. The wood dining table was gorgeous! The beds were comfortable-even for my 80+ year old parents. The bathrooms were more than sufficient, and the master bath was spacious and well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with more than we needed, even including a few amenities (which we didnât need or use) like salt and pepper and a few spices. There were games, and books and wifi was consistent. The property provided plenty of firewood which was nice for the day we spent indoors due to the cold weather.
There were a few things I wish weâd known before we came. No shower in the master bath (but one in the bath just down the hall) and the layout of the two connected bedrooms upstairs. The bedroom that opens to the deck does not have direct access to the rest of the house without going through the other bedroom. If privacy is important, these two bedrooms donât offer as much as the others. The river is about 150 feet down a steep slope from the back of the house. You could still see it and hear it and it was lovely, but someone less physically able, such as my older parents, could not go sit beside the river, even though there were steps. Though it did not affect us, we did not know of the 2 pet limit, or the pet fee until after booking. All of these things would not have changed our decision to stay there, but would have been nice to know in advance.
The rental company was quick to come out when I asked for light bulbs and help lighting the gas fire pit and I feel would have been there for anything else should we have needed it.
Our stay was wonderful and we would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Being from OK we were ready for cooler weather and a change of scenery and thatâs just what we got! The house had space for all 10 of us, ages 5-66 and could have held a few more. Cool mornings in the 40âs to days in the 70-80 range were great for early August! Our girls, ages 5, 5, 7, & 10, as well as the rest of us loved the steps with hand rails down to the river to wade and explore. Also the long back porch to play on, with the humming birds and chipmunks everywhere.
B/C of covid 19 precautions we cooked most of our meals at the house. It was well stocked with pans and utensils we needed. The outdoor grill is also nice.
Thanks for sharing your house with us! We had a great time there!
This was a beautiful home! It was so peaceful and easy to get to. We took our atvâs to town and never used a vehicle from the time we got there. Had a few maintenance issues but informed the management. I would certainly stay at this home again. We had a wonderful time.
