Welcome to Smoky Mountain Highlander, a charming 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath cabin nestled in Chalet Village—just 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Wake up to stunning views of Mt. LeConte from the upper deck with your morning coffee, or unwind in the hot tub on the lower deck as the sun sets behind the peaks. Inside, the main level features an open-concept kitchen and living area with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wood-burning fireplace—perfect for cozy gatherings.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests:

Two queen bedrooms, each with a full bath

A queen sleeper sofa in the lower-level rec room

A convenient half bath downstairs

The loft offers a quiet nook for reading or relaxing, while the rec room downstairs includes a pool table and lounge space that opens to the hot tub deck.

Located just 15 minutes from the excitement of Pigeon Forge, this mountain retreat offers both serenity and easy access to local attractions. Please note: roads are paved but steep—4WD or snow chains may be required during winter weather.

Amazing Cabin with Bear Sightings

This cabin was perfect for our family getaway! It was spotless and had everything we needed. Most evenings, we were treated to the sight of a mama bear and her three cubs playing on the deck—such a special experience. The kids loved playing pool, and the view was stunning. Highly recommend for a relaxing and unique stay!

My family and I very much enjoyed your cabin. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Roads are not too bad to get to the cabin. Collectively between all of us we seen bears almost everyday, one was even walking on our deck. I would definitely stay here again. We had a little problem with the toilet and it was immediately addressed. Thanks again for everything.

We had a wonderful stay, check in was fast and effortless! Host was amazing, very understanding and fast to respond! Had a small hiccup which host responded immediately and yook care of to the best of their ability! Thank you for letting us stay, would love to come back!

View. View. View. Location, location, location.

Great location! Very close to Gatlinburg and entrance to smokies. It’s a climb to get there but once we stepped foot on property it was an amazing feeling. Huge window and great back deck with a spectacular view. The basement was a great area to escape and play pool or just relax. The kitchen and 1st floor were perfect for family meals, game nights and bonding time.

Very close to everything you want to see! If you bring kids Ober is less than a mile away. There's so much to do you can spend a day just going there!

Love the views and the wood burning fireplace, very comfortable and clean and private, really enjoyed our stay here and did I mention the great views of the morning sunrise, can’t beat it.

Weekend trip

The cabin was great...exactly what we were looking for in a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short and left less tham 24 hours after arrival due to issues with my all wheel drive and the forecasted 6-8 inches of snow. We were worried we would not make it back down the windy driveway and road with no all wheel drive.

Peaceful getaway

Stunning views, beautiful chalet, comforts of home. The only concern I had was that the driveway and parking spots could be more car friendly, as parking and maneuvering a vehicle at the top was nerve wracking if you aren’t used to this kind of terrain.

Great location, privacy, and view

Property was clean and well kept. Enjoyed watching the sunrise over the mountains each morning. Watch for bears and dont keep any food outside because we seen a bear almost everyday we stayed there. Access included to several swimming pool locations which my kids enjoyed the most.

Fabulous Property

Property is everything the owner advertised. Comfortable, beautiful view off deck, there were two of us (sis in laws) so it was great having an upstairs bedroom/bathroom to retreat at the end of the day. Never drove in mountains. Nicely paved roads. I would definitely stay here again. You will not be disappointed. to get ready or end your day. t to.

Cheeky Bears

Lovely spot with views out to the hills. Property was clean and spacious. We had a family of bears wander slowly through the garden one evening, which was an experience. There were some loose tiles on the shower floor, which need fixing. We left some clothes behind but they were posted out, which was helpful. Overall very pleased.

Lovely cabin and amazing view!

This A-frame was a great size for our family of 4. I did miss in the description that one of the full bathrooms only has a bathtub- no shower. The 4 of us shared one shower for the week but not a big issue. The owner is very quick to reply as we had a smoke detector beeping. She responded to me within minutes and had it taken care of for us same day. I would advise future renters on the driveway. It is very steep and is difficult to turn around. If you have two cars it would be very challening to park and turn around. The view is unforgetable!

Amazing view to Mt. LeConte!

Stayed 5 nights starting 10/7/23. We are a couple celebrating 30 years checking Mt. LeConte off our hiking bucket list. Great view from the deck and when it’s cold you can enjoy it just the same inside through the big windows & comfortable seating. We have a 2015 2WD Acadia & my husband had no problems getting up the road/drive but we have done this many times in our travels, it could be a little uncomfortable for some. I would say anything RAV4 or the like would be fine, no 4WD needed until winter hits as noted by the owners. We are hikers & the cabin/chalet had everything we needed for us to prepare for the trails & to come back at night to fix meals & relax. Plenty of living/dining space comfortable for 4 adults. Beds were warm & cozy, shower was great. Pots/pans/silverware were plenty, bring anything (like spices) you can’t live without. Located just up Ski Mtn Rd & close to Gatlinburg & the main park entrance can be accessed without going through Gatlinburg, makes it a great location. Some other areas like the Roaring Fork you have to enter by passing through Gatlinburg but access was still not a problem even at busy times. Great cabin/location & we would return!

The cabin was spacious, comfortable, and more private than I expected. The view from the deck is phenomenal, and we loved having breakfast outside as the sun rose over the mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub and even got a quick glimpse of two bears a level below peeking out of the woods! They scurried away at the sight of us (in case anyone feeling wary about them). The location was great - quiet and private, yet a very quick trip into town. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot, plenty of towels, and the TV setup made it easy enough to login to Netflix, etc. We would stay here again!

The mountain view was absolutely amazing. There's a nice deck with some chairs and a hot tub or a great view from the living room. A family of any age would be perfectly comfortable here. It's the right mixture of being tucked away and having some alone time and being right next to everything you need.
