Unwind at this peaceful cabin, perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family gathering.
Enjoy the day browsing the many fine shops and antique stores, enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants in downtown Blue Ridge or Ellijay.
Take the train from downtown Blue Ridge to Copperhill, TN enjoy many shops, restaurants and the Copperhill Brewery.
Hike the Benton-MacKaye Trail, or visit many local waterfalls.
Or just stay in and relax with a book.
Cabin also has a automatic whole house generator if a power outage occurs.
This is a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath cabin, perfect for a family of 4 or 2 couples.
Up to 1 well behaved dog under 30 lbs. is allowed, with a non-refundable fee of $50 per pet . Please contact us for reasonable exceptions to our pet policy.

This place was just like described; no surprises! The gas fireplace was great on the cold nights. We really appreciated the nice Christmas decorations inside and out, it added to our great experience. Very clean and comfortable.

This place was absolutely perfect for a relaxing weekend away for my girlfriend and me. It was very well appointed; I cooked dinner the first night with no trouble at all, and the bathroom had everything we needed. The beds and double recliner in the living room were super comfy. My girlfriend can’t sleep well in a bed due to a medical issue and said the recliner was perfect for a good night’s rest. Communication with the hosts was clear and timely. There were some pretty major bumps in a couple of the gravel roads, but nothing most cars can’t handle when taken slow. Easy drive to downtown Blue Ridge. Would stay again for sure.

Perfect cabin for a couples getaway. Hosts were great and even gave us tips on the best way to get to the cabin.

Ultimate retreat! The cabin was clean and cozy. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the birds, and watching the deer wander by. We accidentally locked ourselves out and our hosts were quick to respond with assistance. The beds were a bit firm for us, but as that’s really personal preference, it doesn’t detract from our review.

A gal's weekend away

My mom, aunt and I stayed here for a long girls weekend and LOVED our stay ; the cabin is full equipped, we basically only needed to bring a change of clothes - they LITERALLY thought of everything. I would recommend staying at the Lazy Bear cabin, hands down. If you are coming to Blue Ridge or Ellijay, stay in Bill's cabin, you will not regret it.

The cabin was absolutely wonderful! It's hard for me to get comfortable in a place away from home, because I'm a bit of a germaphobe. I was completely comfortable; this place was spotless. The decor was so cute and the surroundings super quiet with nothing but trees to see and the rustling of the fall leaves to hear when sitting on the porch. In the evenings, my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the very comfortable reclining sofas in the living space with the gas fireplace lit. I truly wish we could have stayed longer because we actually felt so relaxed. As a bonus, we even saw quite a few deer on our way off of the mountain one morning.

Nice Getaway

It’s a beautiful and cozy cabin. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoyed the fire. Everything was clean and well stocked. The drive up was a little steep, winding, and had some potholes at times, but it was not a terrible drive. It’s a very quiet area. Made for a great, relaxing vacation.

Thanksgiving Getaway

Oh how I miss the wrap around porch! What a relaxing, clean, and cute place. Just what we needed to be off the beaten path but still have some conveniences. It was me, my wife, and my 8 year old son. Perfect spot with access to Blue Ridge and Elijay, which are quintessential mountain towns.

Great place for a getaway

My wife and I wanted a cabin that we feel like we can get away from responsibilities for a couple days. This place delivered. It was a perfect home base to go into town and down to hiking trails. The most impressive aspect was the cleanliness. The owners and previous guest respected the home. It is not a large place, but the 1-4 guests is an accurate size for staying here.

Cozy little Cottage in Blue Ridge

My wife and I enjoyed a Fall weekend getaway here. The place is clean and very well maintained. It is nicely decorated, and exceptionally well-stocked with everything you might need. My wife was very happy with the cookware, which was of good quality and in good condition, a bit unusual for this type of rental! As is typical for cabins in Blue Ridge, you do have to negotiate some unpaved roads, but we have seen far worse. Excellent overall.

Clean and Cozy

Beautiful and very clean with lots of supplies. Outdoor space is limited as the cabin is located on a steep incline. Porch was the safest place to be. The yard was small and a firepit was there, but cumbersome to navigate to. I felt very uneasy with the multitude of cameras which left nowhere not to be on camera. I decided to stay mostly indoors for my stay, since I felt watched.

Perfect retreat

The communication with Bill and Luisa was great. They answered all my questions in minutes. The cabin was perfectly located, with a beautiful view. It was very peaceful. Perfect for walks.

Wow, what a excellent cabin. Dianne and I both recognized the attention to detail and all the decorations all around the cabin. Although an adventure to get here we loved sitting porch with Barney and enjoying the scenery and peaceful atmosphere. The cabin contained everything we needed for a stress free visit . Beautiful Getaway!

It was a beautiful and very well maintained cabin. Can't say enough about the hosts - they were very helpful and even offered to help us out when our plans changed slightly. Being from (flat!) Florida, my only concern was the winding and steep road to the cabin. Once we traveled it a time or two, we were ok! Close to town, but not too close. We loved the whole week! Lots to do and see. The place is very dog-friendly - the beautiful porch has gates at each end, so our spaniel could enjoy the outdoors without a leash all the time. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Very cozy and awesome hosts!

We enjoyed our stay so much. I have never seen such a well appointed cabin; everything you could ever need is provided from toiletries to a blood pressure device. The hosts were so great from before we arrived with detailed information and driving directions to our checkout. We had a little glitch with the oven and their responsiveness was incredible. I highly recommend!
