All the comforts of home with breath-taking views and open space, centrally-located in case you want to just grab a quick beer or meal in the center of town and walk home. We're working to update the space, but as with any house of this age, it has some quirks: Read-on to be sure this house is a good fit for you & your group.

Unlike many properties that boast a view of Mount Shasta from a single deck or window, the mountain is actually visible from the majority of the common rooms in this house, so you can even enjoy a view while washing dishes, enjoying dinner or breakfast, sitting in the living room, when you get out of the shower or sitting in your bedroom (Air Room). While located in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded mostly by open space, it's a quick walk to town.

Downstairs bathroom has a bath/shower combo, while upstairs has a separate bath and stand-up shower with twin sinks. This home has 4 bedrooms: 2 Downstairs ("Fire" & "Earth") and 2 Upstairs ("Air" & "Water"). Each room has 1 queen bed.

Work-from-home/Distance Learning: We offer Mount Shasta’s fastest fiber optic connection available and a variety of workspaces: in each bedroom, as well as plenty of spots at the dining table, in the couch, on the patios outside and in arm chairs. We've had 4+ video calls running simultaneously with enough privacy & space for everyone.

***TLDR: Like it Or Lump It?***
We want you to enjoy an amazing stay in Mount Shasta, whether that’s at our place or somewhere else. Here’s our quirks to see if ours is the right place for you:

NO SHOES & NO SMOKING: To maintain our level of cleanliness we ask that you do not smoke anywhere on the property and do not wear shoes inside.

NO PARTIES: it's a residential area with quiet hours from 10pm-8am. No unregistered guests permitted during quiet hours. Failure to comply with any of these rules could lead to immediate REMOVAL from the premises with NO REFUND.

TRAIN: You can hear the train that runs through Mt. Shasta anywhere in town. The nostalgic sound of trains at night for some is endearing, but if not, we provide earplugs.

STAIRS: There are 15 steep, narrow steps leading to the upstairs bedrooms. The views from the balcony & architectural window are worth it, but those with limited mobility might prefer to stay downstairs.

UPSTAIRS BATHROOM: The upstairs bathroom is attached to a walk-in closet and CONNECTS THE 2 UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS. There are pocket-doors to close-off these spaces for privacy, but we recommend that people who are comfortable with each other stay in the 2 upstairs bedrooms.

SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS are located at each of the entrances (including the front & back doors, as well as the sliding balcony door & back gate) for your safety and to protect the property AT ALL TIMES. Disarming, disabling, covering or otherwise tampering with cameras is grounds for immediate cancellation of the booking and removal from the premises with no refund.

LONG-TERM-STAYS receive a weekly cleaning for your convenience.

WILDLIFE: This home is surrounded by beautiful open space so on occasion & despite our best efforts, a stray bug, spider or other nature-loving creature may wander inside, especially if a door/window is left open.

MAINTENANCE/ACCESS: Landscapers maintain the yard Monday mornings in the warmer months & we will try to clear the drive if there is a lot of snow. Please do not be alarmed if you see someone entering the yard under these circumstances. If you are concerned, don't hesitate to reach out.

EARLY CHECK-IN & LATE CHECKOUT can be arranged with advance notice and where possible at the hosts' discretion at a rate of $20/hour. Contact us to see if this can be accommodated. Guests who stay after their agreed checkout time are charged $20 for each 10 minutes as it impacts our ability to prepare for the next guests.

House was in a great location, large and spacious, clean and very easy to check in and out of. Yard was very conducive to bringing dogs. Price was great as well. Lenore was very responsive and considerate.

Great location!

An easy walk to downtown and minutes away from mountain trailheads and Lake Siskiyou. Property was very clean and well-equipped. We loved eating a quiet breakfast on the front porch and hanging out in the backyard/patio area in the evening.

Wonderful, friendly place in a great location

The owners were thorough, friendly, and helpful throughout the rental process. The house is exactly as advertised. Plenty of room for eight, and a nice short walk to downtown. My husband and I are really looking forward to getting back here this summer so we can enjoy local hiking trails.

A fantastic “home base” for our vacation in Mt. Shasta

We were struck by the perfect location close to town and the unique decor of the 4 Elements house. And when we arrived it didn’t disappoint. After a quick spin through upon check in, my teen son exclaimed “this is probably the best vacation home we’ve rented!” The house is very clean, it provides all we needed (and more) and the views of the mountain are spectacular. We’ll be back on our next visit to the area.

Great location, excellent views of Mt. Shasta from dining room and front window. Comfortable for our group of 7. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed for cooking meals and plenty of electrical outlets well located for charging devices. Amazing view and location

Amazing view and location at the four elements house. We loved the four themed rooms. We were in town for a conference and this was the perfect place to call home while we were there. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and sitting out in the backyard to see the stars at night. We will definitely return the four elements when we visit aunt Shasta again.

Teacher Appreciation!!

Our Charter School holds an annual camping trip. This year it was at Lake Siskiyou. A group of us teachers and volunteers opted to stay in the town of Mt. Shasta, vs. a tent. 4-Seasons was perfect for our group!! Was only about 10 min. from the Lake. We had to be up and at Tom at 4:30 and 5:00am, so having a hot shower, comfy beds and hot coffee in the morning made ALL the difference â˜ș The Chrysalis Charter School teachers and volunteers appreciate you!! Thank you!

Book with Confidence

Just stayed at this home and had a great time with my family and furry friends. Wonderful home with plenty of space, great yard for the puppers, and so many thoughtful touches and extras. Was greeted with a warm house (a blessing since it was so stormy and cold outside!), and a gift basket with wine and snacks!! House has everything we needed and location is perfect. Walkable to great restaurants (check out Seven Suns for breakfast and Yaks for lunch or dinner). Can’t wait to stay here again.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The view sold us on this property. We knew we either wanted to be way out in the forest or close enough to town to grab a beer and walk home. This house feels like you've got a front-row seat to the mountain, but is incredibly central. We love that deer walk by while we sip our morning coffee, that the 4th of July walk/run and Santa's sleigh go right by our front porch during local events, but waking up to that magical view of the mountain makes us grateful for every day.
