Serene Hillsdale Cottage Amped with Tech and Wifi

Escape the city and relax at our serene Hillsdale House, nestled alongside a picturesque creek and pond with acres of shady woods to hike and explore. Cozy nooks abound to decompress with your favorite book. The home is WFH and remote learning equipped with 1GB internet and several quiet spaces for work, zoom, art projects... you name it!

A quick 2.5hr trip from NYC. 5mins to historic Hilldale, 15mins to Great Barrington, 30mins to the Hudson Amtrak station. 10 Mins to Catamount slopes!

In addition to all the typical amenities and aesthetics you want in a vacation home, you will ALSO find:
- marked hiking trail on the property (including search for 6 fairy doors)
- NO pictures of someone else’s family
- empty drawers... waiting for your clothing!
- clutter FREE space
- iOS chargers in all bedrooms
- work friendly spaces... feel free to plug in if and when you want to
- serious WiFi: It is just as good as our WiFi in Brooklyn... WiFi extends outside... AND it still works on the porch and we have even had successful facetimes in the backyard.

More details on the rooms are below. We are new hosts, but we have stayed at some pretty sweet places and have a good understanding of what works and are learning along the way!

Main Floor:
Spacious chef's kitchen complete with double ovens, dishwasher and plenty of counter space. Large dining room is perfect for entertaining and gathering with family/friends and contains a newly renovated half-bath (powder room). The light filled living room boasts a working fireplace and plenty of room for gathering with loved ones, yoga, chess, reading, napping, chilling etc. The adjoining screened-in porch is the perfect place to breath fresh air and relax. Turn on the outdoor ceiling fan for a perfect breeze on a hot day!

Lower Level:
Snuggle up and chill or watch your favorite movies on the flat screen Samsung Frame TV. Enjoy the adjoining light filled art/zoom room… great for art projects, playing, remote learning etc. The lower level also leads out to the streamside patio area, which is ready for al fresco dining, grilling on the large Weber Genesis grill and gathering safely outdoors.

Upstairs:
4 tranquil bedrooms await… BR 1: King Bed, plenty of closet space, listen to the tranquil sounds of the neighboring stream as you drift off to sleep. BR 2: Light filled room with Queen Bed and tons of charm. BR 3: A perfect room for kids or guests with 2 Twin beds (plus additional trundle bed) and space to play. BR 4: This room has a twin daybed (might be the coziest spot in the entire house) as well as a lovely desk area complete with dual monitor setup… just in case you need to check in with the office while away. 2 freshly renovated full bathrooms finish out the upper level, which providing options of a walk-in shower with glass surround OR a lovely deep soaking tub for relaxing after a long day.

For family convening here from different directions, this house was excellent. We frequently talked about how much we enjoyed the house and protest, as week as three well-suited resources provided. It was very well equipped, very clean, and organized - it was a very enjoyable space to be in.

Perfect Berkshires Setting

The home is conveniently situated to all Berkshire towns & points of interest. The property is so beautiful; we all enjoyed the pond & bridge, large outdoor playing area, fire pit w/ Adirondack chairs, screened porch. The house is appointed w/ every convenience for adult enjoyment and needs for young visitors. We appreciated having every modern convenience while maintaining the charming ambience. I was also impressed w/ how immaculate & clean we found everything ( I am a clean freak!). I cannot overstate how responsive, thoughtful and helpful the owners were throughout. They truly went above & beyond. Thank you J&J for sharing your wonderful home w/ our family. We loved it!!

Loved our time here

We all loved how creative the house was. The decor was super nice, had the plugs where you needed them in the bedrooms, kitchen fridge was big enough with the additional fridge in the garage (need that one also). We loved the screened in porch. We hung out there most of the time. The house was misleading from the street so I didn't think it was the house, but once I got out back I recognized it. Grounds were beautfiul. We got to see a blue heron eating fish and some deer. Overall a wonderful time, thank you for letting us in your home.

Our Hillsdale House has given us a place to escape the city… HOWEVER we still need to be plugged in wherever we are for remote learning and working from home.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Some of our favorite parts of the home include:
- Screened in Porch overlooking the creek (perfect for reading, have some coffee or a glass of wine)
- Hiking on the property (find the fairy doors we hid for you)
- 3 incredible spaces for working remotely
- Living Room is SO zen... BUT you still have a projector to watch whatever you want on the big screen
- All the technology you could possible want and the fun (puzzles, games, art supplies, basketball hoop, we even have a gaga court that you can use... just ask!)

Please Note: Our space is well-equipped for remote work, featuring a generator, high-speed Wi-Fi, desks, a projector, and chargers. While internet outages are extremely rare (only twice in the past five years), in the unlikely event of a disruption, we will make every effort to coordinate with Consolidated Communications to resolve the issue promptly. However, please be aware that any repairs or service timelines are subject to Consolidated Communications, and are ultimately beyond our control.
