Loved Wendy's house. Perfect location on Sugar Hill. Close to Cannon for Skiing. House has great bedrooms with cozy bedding. This kitchen is well stocked as well. Definitely going to rent this property again.
We were staying in the area for our sonâs wedding. The house itself and the location were perfect. We were all very comfortable and it was so helpful to have a big house to support our needs for the wedding. Wendy was easy to work with.
The property was beautiful and we cannot wait to come back to visit and continue to explore the area. Very accessible to Sugar Hill, Franconia, Littleton, and Bethlehem. Our three generations of family members had a great time.
Private peaceful yard and home. Off beaten path but close to area shopping, attractions, and hikes. Loved the windows across the back that overlook the yard. Great place to relax.
This property was just wonderful. We really appreciated the yard space and we used the campfire which had kindling and firewood all ready to use. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this to others.
Great house with lots of room for our family of 9. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of space for kids to play. Nice quiet neighborhood. Easy access to Canon Mt.
Good size for our group of 9. Nice location in Sugar Hill. Basement bedroom is limited but useable. Could have been cleaner. Overall, we had a good stay.
Great location to explore hiking trails, go shopping or just relax. We rented to have access to the Highland Games and it was the perfect spot. I am now a big fan of Sugar Hill. The property itself was beautiful and provided us with all the comforts of being home. I would highly recommend this rental.
The location is exquisite, the home is casually elegant, clean and designed for comfortable living. The kitchen is a well stocked working kitchen and the living room and screened in porch just invite you in. But the back yard and fire pit are were the magic is. And Wendy is a pleasure to work with. Just a great overall experience.
Definitely enjoyed the stay, but it was very dusty and there were spider webs in the house. While this is common for cabins in New Hampshire, this was a home and we found that somewhat odd. Other than that, we loved it and would 100% stay there again.
We had an amazing time at Wendy's property. The location was so close to Polly's and the mountain (our 2 main reasons to be up there). There were a ton of beds, linens, etc which was awesome. The house is definitely well loved and lived in. The fireplace was perfect - we brought our own wood and starters. Internet was great and strong. We got a TON of snow half way through the week, so the kids and dogs LOVED the yard. Thank you for having us.
I rented this for a family getaway Christmas present so we could go visit the ice castles, and even though they were not open during our stay, Wendy was gracious enough to move our stay back a few weeks from our first reservation. We were disappointed we could not see the ice castles, but the kids still had a blast sledding on the small hill outback and my family enjoyed the large space we were all able to gather in and just hang out for a couple of days.
We loved our stay at this beautiful house in such tranquil setting. Everything in the house was as described and there was plenty space for our two families. 4 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen was new and had everything we needed. We loved eating dinners out on the closed-in porch. The yard was big and spacious and we made full use of the fire pit. Easy access to the mountains, beautiful hikes, the swim lake etc. Also tried the pancake house in Sugar Hill, great! Would love to come back and would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
We really loved this house. Communication with the owner was great; she answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. The house is tucked away in a wooded area, just off a little-traveled road. It was quiet and peaceful -- the perfect vacation house for us.
There was a lot of land around the house, which gave our six-year old plenty of room to run around. The barbecue was a nice bonus. And there was even a fire pit, which my son-in-law loved. There was plenty of room for our two cars.
The house itself was roomy and comfortable, everyone felt like we had our own little area, if we wanted privacy. There were four bedrooms, which was perfect for our family. Two full baths upstairs, including one en-suite bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. There is a bonus recreation room in the basement, with a TV and a bed. We did not end up using this room, but it would have been perfect for a teenager or young adult who wanted additional privacy.
The owner provided lots of information and material about the area, including recommendations about where to shop, where to eat out, and guides to some of the area's sights and activities. The large screen TV included cable and Netflix and the house had strong wifi.
The house was a short distance from both Franconia and Sugar Hill. There is a great breakfast place in Sugar Hill (Polly's Pancake Parlor) and two good food market's nearby. Larger markets, several pharmacies, Walmart and other stores are located in Littleton, about 15 minutes away. Littleton also has a lovely main street, some nice casual restaurants, good shopping, a great candy store and a movie theater.
The house is close to Franconia Notch State Park, The Flume Gorge, Robert Frost's house, Cannon Mountain, and is not far from Crawford Notch. There is lots to see and do in the area.
Overall, we had a great vacation and the house, and its perfect location, was a big part of our wonderful stay in the White Mountains.
We had a very enjoyable 3 day family gathering at this spacious and well maintained property. There were 5 children (ages 4 - 7) and 6 adults. Communication with the host was excellent and friendly. Across the board it was a 5 Star experience!
This was our second time staying here and it was just as fantastic as the first time. Great location, plenty of space, and Wendy was super communicative and responsive. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

The house is located right near Franconia and all the amenities you need, and access to beautiful hiking trails and fun breweries.
Huge kitchen! Very good for cooking.
The place is nice; kitchen is very well stocked; plenty of comfortable seating and great setup for games around the fireplace! Easy access to the mountains. What more could you ask for! Thank you Wendy!
Alan and I camped and hiked in the White Mountains for years with our kids before deciding that the time was right to buy a home there. When we are not renting the home, we enjoy the area a great deal and find it a great get away from our life in Arlington, Massachusetts. Wendy is an adoption social worker and Alan is a high school teacher and between of them we have four great children ranging in age from 26 to 34.
