Open floor. Lots of light. Lovely Two story home on quiet street very close to downtown and shopping. Restaurants are close as well. Close to interstate. Walking distance to historic downtown and grocery store
Some confusion with my booking, a pet was not added so I had to message the owner to add them the night before. We were able to get in an early which was awesome. Only 1 parking spot for a home that sleeps 6 to 7 was a little annoying. We had to park one car out of sight at the end of the cul de sac. Yard needs to be mowed but there has been a lot or rain recently. Home was pretty well stocked nice central location, able to walk to Wrights Dairy Rite and the grocery store was very close. Nice to not have to do a lot to check out. Linens were pretty good and if needed they provided shower needs (shampoo, soak, etc).
I was so grateful to find a home that would work for my family and our dogs. Location was great for a weekend visit to JMU. The home is very clean and well stocked. The owner is very responsive.
4 adults stayed here last weekend. The house was clean, had all the necessities, well stocked kitchen for stay at home meals. The house is in a great location, has character and charm. We would come back
We came to Staunton to celebrate two of our grandchildrenâs birthdays. We thought the home was very clean and homey. We were very comfortable and impressed with the property.
We stayed in the area for NYE because it was mid way between family homes. We really like the home and would totally stay there again. Easy close drive to downtown Staunton.
The house was perfect for my friends and me. We were in town for a wedding, and it was the perfect location to easily get to the wedding venue as well as downtown Staunton. Phillip could not have been more helpful. The house was clean and had everything we could need. Highly recommend!
Clean. Easy to find. Only issue was the beds. Too soft or needed to be replaced. Rolled into my husband all night. That did quite a number on my back. Otherwise, loved it.
We were in Staunton for a family wedding. The property was very conveniently located to downtown Staunton, grocery stores, restaurants and access to major highways. The property was clean and ,thankfully, air conditioner because it was a bit warmer weather. I was able to easily contact the host, Phillip, with any questions. He very kindly allowed us to go past our 11am checkin out time to 12 noon. This gave us extra time to pack up after having a late night on Saturday.
The house was neat and clean. All as described. It should be noted that this house is not handicapped accessible, as there are multiple levels on each floor. Step down into the first floor bathroom, step up into the kitchen, etc. Quirky, but itâs because itâs an older house that has been renovated. It worked well for us as a home base while we were in the area for a family graduation. Oh, also, the mattress in the master makes noise when you move. Interrupted our sleep until we got used to it.
Bright, inviting older house about a mile from downtown/Shakespeare Theater, although walking was a little sketchy. Three bedrooms upstairs (old house=kind of steep stairs) with full bath up and toilet/shower down. Nice porches and outdoor space. Beds on the soft side, a little too soft for two of the three of us. Plenty of room for eating, kitchen has good amount of things but is kind of small and no dishwasher. Only real complaint is very low quality toilet paper.
We came to Staunton to see a show at the theater (highly recommend!) and this was great for that. Would probably stay here again. Only contacted the owner once because we got to town before check-in but they replied promptly and seemed very helpful and gracious. Would recommend, except maybe not for older people or people with mobility issues.
We thought the house was very cute & accommodating. But, I wish we could have enjoyed it more. When we arrived none of the downstairs water was working (kitchen & bathroom). I alerted them right away in case the pipes were frozen. Unfortunately, we had no water downstairs for the majority of our stay & had to use the upstairs bathroom for drinking water/etc. We were fortunate that we had family nearby & could use their kitchen.
This house offered everything we needed. Very cute. The beds were a little on the small side for men over 6â but we made it work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful time visiting with family. The host was very accommodating when I asked to check in early so we could start prepping for Thanksgiving. My only negative comments are that the kitchen isnât super well-equipped. ( For example, not a lot of sharp knives, and very few large spoons.) And the location, though convenient, is right next to a major road and is not much of a neighborhood. But overall itâs a great place to stay and is walkable into town.
A great place to stay in Staunton for those people that are hitting all the Antique outlets in the area. Very clean house and easy access to major highways. Owners were super polite and helpful!
We went to Staunton to visit the vineyards nearby. The house was very clean, and the host was extremely personable and quick to reply. Highly recommend it to folks looking to visit the area.
Great place - stayed there with my family (two adults, two kids) and had a wonderful time. Very clean, neat, had everything we needed, and very convenient to downtown Staunton and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend!
