Our carefully designed mountain retreat is the quintessential outdoor getaway where you’ll be greeted with incredible views through floor-to-ceiling windows and a location that is central to many of the adventures found under the Endless Mountain’s expansive skies. Perfect for family fun, couples’ ski retreats, visits to Northeast Pennsylvania and other activities for up to 8 guests. You can even plan a day trip to New York City or Philadelphia which are both only 2 ½ hours away!

The Surroundings
Located on 2 acres of gorgeous hillside, you’ll have plenty of space for sprawling out and enjoying the fresh mountain air in privacy. Get ready to take in clear night skies full of brilliant constellations from the wrap around balcony— whether it’s a cool autumn evening or a fresh summer night and enjoy family time surrounding our outdoor fire pit.

The Amenities
The Alce Gora Chalet is fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. Our open kitchen is furnished with upgraded stainless steel appliances including a gourmet gas cooktop that can be used with a grill or griddle and an electric convection oven. Enjoy the brand new Kohler cast iron farmhouse sink with a Delta Touch2O faucet surrounded by massive white Quartz countertops. Savor your meals together around the dining room table, or take your experience to the wrap around deck for an epic barbecue.

After hiking or skiing on the mountain, gather in the Great Room for a movie night. This comfy space includes a flat screen TV with streaming access and fiber optic WiFi. Or, pour some hot cocoa and gather around the Great Room’s gas fireplace, looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows enjoying the view of Elk Mountain Ski Resort. It’s especially idyllic when snow is falling softly!

Sleeping Accommodations
There are a total of three bedrooms spanned over two floors. On our main floor, you’ll find one queen bedroom and one bedroom with two twin beds while our third floor boasts the primary suite complete with king-sized bed, mini living-room area, computer workspace, and outdoor balcony. Our bathroom off the primary suite offers double vanities and whirlpool tub with a panoramic view. You will also find a queen size sleeper sofa located on our loft that can be used as a 4th bedroom upon request. With two full bathrooms and on-demand hot water, there is plenty of space for everyone to keep up with daily routines before hitting the slopes or taking a trip into town.

Please be aware that all guests will need to use stairs to access the living areas. Also, in the interest of protecting the privacy and security of our guests, note that our Chalet is equipped with outdoor, motion-sensitive cameras at each of its entrances; there are no cameras in the interior of the home.

Heading Into Town
While Alce Gora Chalet feels just the right amount of secluded, you’re still only a ½ hour from town. Our surroundings are home to many outdoor adventures like berry picking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, golfing, snowshoeing, horseback riding and miles of snowmobiling trails.

Elk Mountain also has plenty of options for dining, bar-hopping, and quaint coffee shops—it really is the quintessential mountain town. Less than a mile away is the famous “Chet’s Place” (Home of the Ultimate Buzz). Stop in and tell them Dan sent you!
