This gorgeous, beautifully renovated home reflects the spirit of coastal Maine. This 1895 Victorian has been fully restored offering turn of the century charm and is fully equipped with all modern amenities. Our home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with an open living room, dining room and modern kitchen. The large wrap around porch provides the perfect spot for relaxing with your morning coffee or after a day at the beach. Centrally located between both Short Sands and Long Sands beaches, our location offers a safe and quiet street and easy access to all local attractions. Stroll to the Nubble Lighthouse for a picnic or to stargaze. Enjoy all the sights that York has to offer: quaint shops, restaurants, salt water taffy, and York's Wild Animal Kingdom and Amusement Park.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The house was the cleanest house we have ever stayed in with a rental. The location was excellent and we really enjoyed our early morning walks to see the sunrise.

This was the cleanest, most well stocked property that we e ever stayed at! The location was terrific and our hosts were kind and helpful. The street was full of friendly neighbors and we loved the front porch.

Great stay!

This was our second time staying at this location and we absolutely love it. It is everything as advertised, is immaculate, and was very comfortable for 5 adults. We love the location with easy access to town and appreciate Jen’s hospitality. We are already hoping to stay here again for our next family reunion in two years.

Blue Hydrangea

It was hard to leave this beautiful cottage! We loved being able to walk to the beaches, to the shops and to the Nubble Light from this fabulous location. We also took advantage of doing the puzzles and playing corn hole at the house. The owners are great and very accommodating. We highly recommend staying here!

Just Perfect!!

This is our third year staying at the blue hydrangea! every year there are updates and it keeps getting better ! super clean and fully stocked kitchen! Jen couldn’t be kinder or more helpful! look forward to continuing our tradition of staying there !

Great week

Great week for our family in Maine! The location was perfect - quiet neighborhood and easy walk to beaches or the lighthouse area. We all really enjoyed the house, very comfortable and the kitchen had everything. The owners were great, very nice and accommodating. Would absolutely stay again!

Amazing Property, Location and Hosts!

Our extended stay at the Blue Hydrangea lived up to all of the positive reviews and yet it still exceeded our expectations! The house felt like a home - well-appointed, comfortable, cozy and equipped with everything you could possibly need, including great beach chairs, an umbrella and a beach cart! The location was perfect - a quiet street with an 8-10 min. walk to either Long Sands or Short Sands beach. The Jacksons were wonderful hosts - friendly and responsive. The Blue Hydrangea and the Jacksons have set a high bar for other VRBO properties! Thanks for a great vacation!

Beautiful Maine Get-away!

This property was absolutely beautiful! The hosts' attention to detail was perfect! Anything we needed - from kitchen items to beach chairs was provided. It was clean and the decor, inviting. I highly recommend this host/home. The location was amazing! Walking distance to the beach and restaurants! Perfect trip!

We loved this cottage nestled on a quiet side street near Nubble Light House. It was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you could want. The large wraparound porch was the perfect location for your morning coffee and we took advantage of its close vicinity to Short Sands by taking several long walks. It was the perfect family vacation at the beach!

Relaxing

Great place to stay with kids, tweens, teens, quick walk to short and long sands beach. Lots to do at both locations. Owners and neighbors are gems, friendly and helpful. The house is exactly like the pictures, impeccably clean and comfortable. My teen and tween said they want to come back next year. We had a blast.

A Relaxing Stay in a Cozy Home!

This home is beautiful! There was plenty of room, and everything we could need in the kitchen. Reading on the shaded porch or sunning in the backyard- all relaxing! The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but right in the middle of everything! Long Sands to the right, Short Sands to the left, and the Nubble Light at the top! Had a relaxing time!

Has become a tradition in York

This is our 3rd time staying at this property with our family! First off, the house is pristine- the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. This is an older home with lots of character but updated amenities. The owners live next door and are very communicative and helpful. The house is 5+ minute walk to Short Sands and town with the most beautiful walk. We are always sad to leave!

Beautiful stay

We had a wonderful stay in this home. Jen was a gracious host and was nearby if we needed anything. We spent a few days on short sands, which was easily walkable with two small kids. Drove to long sands (had to download an app for parking, and get there early if you plan to spend the day). The only thing I wish this house had available is laundry, but we knew about it in advance and packed accordingly. The street is quiet and private, and the neighbors were all very friendly. We hope to come back someday!

Wonderful beach cottage!!

This is a wonderful place to stay in York. The cottage is a short walk to the beach, stores, food and fun!! Everything was clean and nicely remodeled. The open concept worked great for my family. The porch has locking gates which was a huge plus for my son who turned 1 while we were there. The backyard was just big enough to sit and relax with everyone. The neighbors are very friendly and was nice to know we could contact Charlene if we had any questions or concerns! Overall a great vacation and a wonderful cottage. We will be returning for sure!!
