Lovely two-bedroom lake house near a private 20-acre lake on a 300-acre ranch. The house is adjacent to a hiking trail that passes a deer feeder and leads to an additional remote five-acre lake in the woods. Enjoy views of the lake and the longhorn cattle pasture. Fish from wooden piers, paddle boats, or your own human powered watercraft. High speed internet provided. Ring cameras are around ranch work shed area.
What a great place to step back and relax and unwind from the hustle bustle of the city. Good restaurants if you're willing to go find them. And just a great piece of land to go walking around, fishing at and relax.
Thank you to the hosts for an amazing stay with my family. We had an amazing time fishing on the paddle boats and a big fish fry! The house was amazing and the hosts so helpful and made sure we had a great time. Thank you so much.
We were in town for First Monday and wanted extra space to stretch out after walking all day. This place was just what we needed. We didn't have the best weather to enjoy the property but we will definitley be back. The weather got dicey and the owner called to check on everyone which we really appreciated. House was quiet and well stocked with everything we needed. Ben Wheeler was a great stop also. Can't wait to stay again.
Very nice, clean and relaxing place. Was fully stocked. The property manager was very helpful. The view is beautiful. We definitely be staying there again.
We had a great time at Arc Ridge Ranch, enjoyed the hiking trails, watching the livestock, bright stars, and some superb fishing. We especially loved using the paddle boats. Our lakehouse was clean with plenty of towels and kitchen was well furnished. Having the filters already there for the drip side of the coffee pot was especially convenient! We would stay here again!
My family of 4 stayed here and extremely enjoyed our visit. The lake is beautiful and serene. The ranch manager was extremely helpful and accommodating. We were able to use the pedal boats and fished off of them, caught bass, bluegill and catfish. You could catch wifi at the gate but not in the cabin which made us find other things to do, which was a blessing! We'll definitely be back but maybe just not in the summer heat. The cabin had ice cold ac though. Walmart in Canton 20 minutes away. Great getaway.
Longhorn cabin was clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was fine. Repairs need to be madeâŠâŠ.knobs on drawers in kitchen fall off easily, hole around shower head needs filled or covered, and if you are a light sleeper, the twin beds groan and squeak. Additionally it wasnât possible (or we never found the switch) to turn on a light in the back bedroom without climbing on the bed to pull the chain. There was plenty of soap and shampoo but that was it. Coffee and/or tea wasnât available and there wasnât any ice or ice trays to make ice. Coffee maker needs to be replaced, the brewing side takes about 20 minutes to brew 8 cups and the pod side leaked. Internet was weak and more often than not didnât connect. Because of that, the tv didnât connect so I really canât say whether it works or not. If you re looking for a clean place in the country to disconnect for a weekend, this place would be great. Donât expect anything very welcoming, all youâll find is a bare bones cabin that is clean.
This was a perfect place to disconnect with our electronics and connect with family. Hiking, paddle boating, fire pit and exploring with the kids. Everyone had a good time.
My family throughly enjoyed our stay it was very peaceful and relaxing
Beautiful property away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Would love to stay again and will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
We had so much fun. It was just what was needed. Time away from Technology. Stayed at the Longhorn cabin. It was cozy. We played the Snakes and Ladders game two or 3 times. We walked at least half of the trails, rode bikes on the others. The kids loved riding from the entrance of the property to the bottom of the lake in 3 pedals. Our dog went from City dog to Country dog in a matter of seconds. Only thing really missing was a can opener. They had a bottle opener for pouring a can, we made do. We would come again.
Our cabin was very clean and well stocked with linens, kitchen utensils, etc. We stayed while visiting Canton's First Monday Trade Days. The cabin was within easy driving distance to the event, and after the crowds all day, returning to this peaceful country setting was exactly what we needed to recharge. Would definitely book again!
We evacuated from Lafayette la and this was the closest rental that allowed Pets. It was nice and peaceful lov d that we could fish and far enough away from other guest although we talked to almost all of them we were all from La.
