Black Bear Lodge-Hot Tub and Game Room

Beautiful, quiet log home on four park-like acres. Features include eight person hot tub, king master suite, game room, wood burning fire place and much more! No pets please. No smoking inside the home. Families welcome, however the home is not baby/toddler-safe. Spend your days at beautiful Lake Michigan or exploring the charming town of South Haven and your evenings relaxing in the hot tub or cuddled up by the cozy fireplace (available November 1st-March 31st). This three bedroom, three bathroom home offers plenty of room for up to ten guests. The mainfloor bedroom has a king bed. In the loft bedroom is full and a queen. The downstairs bedroom has full bed. The family/game room features comfy seating with satellite TV, a blu-ray player and a Wii. You can play an exciting game of foosball, air hockey, or choose from the 3400+ games on the vintage arcade gaming system! There are also lots of games available for all ages. Outside you can relax on the large deck, hang out around the fire pit or play a game of cornhole and disc golf. Firewood and roasting sticks provided. This amazing home sits on a quiet dirt road and is on four beautiful, park-like acres. Cell service can also be spotty. The garage is not available for guest use and there are two locked owners closets in the home. Please be aware that this home is located in the country and you will encounter bugs and wildlife. We do provide mosquito spray. Located on four quiet park-like acres. Lake Michigan and South Haven are about 7 miles from the home. Lake Arvesta Farms and Sports Complex is 3.3 miles away. Black River Barn is 5.3 miles. Black Sheep Shelter is 7.3 miles. South Haven Creations is 8.3 miles. 12 Corners Vineyards and Gravity tasting rooms are on Pheonix St and are 6.6 miles. Cogdal Vineyard is 11 miles. New Holland Spirits is 6.7 miles.

Perfect cabin!

We had the best trip for our annual family Thanksgiving getaway. The cabin had everything we needed and was absolutely beautiful. Our host was amazing at communicating and accommodating our stay. We would 100% stay here again!

This was our 2nd year visiting Black Bear Lodge for our mid-winter break. Our whole family loves everything about our stay. The hosts are superb, and the lodge is the most beautiful place to relax and rejuvenate before heading home to reality!

Beautiful, awesome cabin

Black bear lodge exceeded our expectations! A lovely, well-maintained space that was impeccably decorated with so many fun games and activities. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, thoroughly enjoyed the game room foosball table and wi games. Coffee was provided for peaceful mornings on the wrap-around porch, and we had all the things we needed to cook and grill meals at the house. We can’t say enough good things about our week there. We will definitely be booking again!

We had an awesome girls weekend! Daughter, Daughter-in-law, and grand daughters. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, loved the detail in the decor and supplied everything we needed. We also enjoyed that it was only 10 minutes to town. We would love to visit again!

Amazing!!

The property was beautiful!! We had everything we needed!! The host was amazing and even decorated the lodge for us as it was our annual Christmas girls weekend 🌲 we will definitely be back!!! I would recommend this lodge to anyone . Very clean and well maintained.. definitely a 10 out of 10

Memorable family stay

The main highlight was the absolutely stunning and serene surroundings. It was so lovely to step outside into our very own private park. Indoors, we were met with tasteful lodge decor and everything we needed for our trip: well equipped kitchen, plenty of space for our group of 7 to spread out, and so many options for activities/games/entertainment. The short drive into South Haven was perfect. We would return in a heartbeat! Many thanks to Nina for everything she has provided to make her guests feel at home!

Exceeded expectations

From the moment I turned into the driveway I knew it would be a stellar experience. Every possible finishing touch was addressed in the home. Plenty of activities and games for the guests. Beds are super comfortable. If I can, I would love to come back every year.

Relaxing Family Get away

We loved staying at this Home! Our kids had plenty of things to do in the game area, hot tub, and enjoying the outdoors. Cabin was spacious! Nice area on the porch to sit and enjoy being outdoors. Beautiful sounds of nature! Would defined stay again. Provided shampoo and conditioner. Also provided spices and coffee. Nice place to stay! 5 beds and 3 bedrooms plus a bathroom on each level.

Comfortable and beautiful cabin!

Do you have all day? Because that is how long it would take for me to tell you how awesome this cozy, comfortable, surrounded by lush nature, calming, and beautifully decorated this place is. Nina has thought of everything….down to the very last detail. I also appreciate her quick responses to my inquiries. Don’t hesitate to book this place!! Wonderful Accommodating Place!

We had a fabulous time at the Black Bear Cabin! It was everything we hoped for......clean, very well provisioned with plenty of space for everyone. The game room downstairs (where 'Every' game worked!), as well as the nice hot tub, were big hits with my two granddaughters! The host (Nina) was very good at communicating and responding, and she was very helpful with anything we needed! We will definitely visit the Black Bear Lodge in South Haven, MI again!! 👍🏼👍🏼

We Return Often!

We absolutely love staying at Black Bear Lodge in South Haven! It’s a nice getaway for our family to relax, unwind, and get a break from electronics and the busyness of life. We have 5 children ranging in age from 8 to 15, and they love our stays there and really look forward to them! The hot tub is amazing, the views are spectacular, and the beds and couches are very comfortable and cozy. We love that stores and restaurants are close, and the beach is nearby if you need something extra to do in the warmer months. They have fiber internet so you can easily work from there or enjoy shows or video games for the kids too. We had great cellphone service in the house. We highly recommend the cabin to others, it’s one of our favorite stays!

The BEST Family Getaway!

Nina’s cabin is amazing! Immaculately clean, thoughtfully supplied with items you need for a wonderful stay, and so cozy! Our 5 kids absolutely loved the play areas downstairs, the arcade machine, and most importantly the hot tub! Even in freezing temps it was so easy to enjoy the delightful hot tub and walk up the stairs back into the cabin! The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the bedding was cozy. The rooms were so spacious! We greatly appreciated the on-site laundry and the wonderful whirlpool tub! She was also so quick to respond when I mixed up our door code and needed help. This is definitely our favorite vacation rental and we can’t wait to go back! Thank you Nina for creating such a cozy and wonderful vacation spot!

Just beautiful!

Excellent property! The house was fantastic. Plenty of space inside and out for both adults and kids to use and the home itself was gorgeous. The kitchen was one of the nicest and well stocked I’ve experienced in a rental. Beds were comfy and between the basement, living room, and wrap around porch there was plenty of sitting space for everyone. Hot tub was great in the evening and the dining room table had plenty of space for a family dinner for eight. Everyone wants to come back next year. Downtown South Haven and South Beach are perfectly convenient for a family vacation without having to stay in town and this property is on a 4 acre wooded lot with very little traffic so you never worry about the kids running around in the yard. I cannot recommend this property enough.

Great place for a family getaway

The cabin was beautiful and fully stocked with everything we needed for the long weekend (towels and linens, kitchen utensils, entertainment, etc), and the location was perfect for our family getaway in South Haven - secluded but still close to the beach / downtown area. The host was very responsive and friendly.

Had a great time in this wonderful home. Everything is beautifully decorated inside and out. There are so many fun and relaxing things to do there..we felt right a home and can't wait to go back.
