Modern downtown 4-BR/3 bath spacious home with free on site parking, sleeps 10
This modern and stylish place to stay is perfect for group trips and conveniently located in downtown New Albany just a few minutes across the river from downtown Louisville. This spacious residence features a beautifully remodeled interior with clean lines and modern inspired furnishings. There are 4 large bedrooms with high ceilings and walk in closets and 3 full bathrooms. It is just a few blocks away from a variety of local shops, restaurants, and breweries, and music venues. Visit the local farmer's market in the morning and enjoy some great live music and drinks in the evening.
I have a queen size air mattress available for your use for to allow for up to 10 person max sleeping capacity.
This property is great 3 full bathrooms makes it very convenient 4 Bedrooms great for a southern Indiana golf trip.
Loved the carport and back yard ! Would stay there again
The location is this property is awesome! Walking distance (less than a mile) to plenty of restaurants and bars. The house itself was clean and spacious enough for our needs. The garage access was ideal. Would highly recommend.
This home was perfect for our stay. We had plenty of space and really enjoyed the firepit!
Our group has already discussed staying there again next year.
This was our second stay in this home; I grew up in this area and we visit family throughout the year. This home is perfect for my husband, me and our adult sons and their families. Itâs roomy, with great size bedrooms and hard-to-find three full baths. The layout of the home works well, and while we didnât use the backyard on this visit, the fire pit and cornhole are nice. We also love the off street private parking. The host was easy to work with and responsive. We would stay again.
This house with its room areas, 3 full bathrooms, 4 bedrooms was beautifully decorated, roomy and spotlessly clean. The backyard with games and a firepit was a wonderful place to relax later in the evening. The tv was a bit confusing, but that was just myself and i didnt watch it much. I appreciated a list of the hosts favorite places in the neighbor hood. We throughly enjoyed our stay, thank you
The home was very clean, nice area, close to the downtown area. Backyard os nice and private, plenty of space. Owner was very accommodating and responded immediately to any concern. Highly recommended
We enjoyed our stay at this home in New Albany. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided, the beds were comfy. We took advantage of the outdoor toys (my grown kids), loved the town of New Albany and easy access to Louisville. We walked to town, and ran on the greenway.
One issue came up and was quickly addressed by the owner.
Would have liked to have full soap bottles at the sinks, but that is minor.
Our family of 9, consisting of two sets of grandparents, 3 kids, and ourselves were very comfortable here. We had plenty of room, and the house had everything we could have needed. We also found it to be very clean. The turf backyard with games and a fire pit was the perfect place to keep the kids safely coraled and entertained. I also liked that two of our vehicles could be parked inside the garage. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.
The home was exactly as pictured. Very clean!! We liked the private, secure parking out back because many in-town locations only have street parking. We enjoyed the fire pit one evening. The neighborhood is very quiet but it is in the process of being revitalized/renovated so not all homes have been updated yet.
We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday with a family of six. The house and furnishings were exactly as listed and shown in the pictures. We cooked dinner and there was ample pots, pans, plates, serving utensils - very well stocked. Kitchen is very functional and great design. Layout and openness of the downstairs was amazing and absolutely perfect. Back yard is a very nice set up. Lighting is great in each room and plenty of TVs. We had no issues at all. Easy to get to and close to many downtown places, restaurants, and the river front. This house is a gem to the neighborhood as it is truly the nicest house. The neighboring properties leave a little to be desired and little eccentric. It was quiet and peaceful. We would absolutely rent and stay here again.
We enjoyed the open living area, the back yard and that the unit was very clean and comfortable. The VRBO diagrams for the bedrooms showed that upstairs there was one BR with one Q, one BR with one K, and one BR with two Qs. In reality, there was no room with 2 Q, there was an empty air mattress in the closet with no bedding; don't know if that was to count as one of the Qs. We are 5 seniors, and the 5 separate beds was a reason we picked the property. Also, just beware one BR has only sheers at the window, so needs someone who doesn't mind some street light shining in and doesn't walkaround with the light on after dark.
The owner informed us about a month in advance that the listed property was no longer available but he would offer another at about a 20 minute distance which could be better for our group at the same price. The trade-off was his family residence in a rural wooded area that was also set up as a short term rental. Finding it was a bit tricky with GPS, but written instructions were helpful. We were well accommodated, and though we plugged the garbage disposal accidentally with potato peelings, he had it repaired the following day.
My evaluation reflects our stay in his other property on Flower Gap Road. We found Dustin, our host friendly and helpful.
Traveling for business to over 30 cities. I pay a higher price per night to avoid what we experienced here. The pics look great but are deceiving. Black mold all over the fridge, cob webs, loads of dust, broken master bed and toe nail clippings are some of the things I tried to tell the host about privately. He tried to put it all on the weather and my imagination. I paid a high nightly rate and got out as fast as I could before being there 24 hours. Host offered to return my cleaning fee but didnât do that either. Neighborhood is up and coming but doesnât warrant the nightly fee as of yet.
We absolutely loved this property! The open concept living room and kitchen gave us plenty of space for our group to spread out during our visit. We especially loved the extra long kitchen table where we could all sit together and talk and laugh, long after the meal was over. The beds were all comfy and the linens all smelled so good! The fire pit in the back yard was perfect for an evening campfire and roasting marshmallows. The house is an easy 15 minute drive to horse racing and just a couple minutes from downtown New Albany where you can find some nice little eateries. I had a couple questions prior to our arrival and our host was very helpful and answered quickly. Highly recommend!!
My wife and I have three active properties in the Southern Indiana Area. We have been hosts for several years now and really enjoying hosting our guests!
This truly is a unique property. This home was built in the early 1920's and has a lot of character. It's a really great urban setting with walkable access to just about any amenity you'd need or want. Restaurants, shops, bars, fitness facilities, farmers market, and so much more within just a few short blocks away. It's in a very secure area with a fire station and elementary school within just a few blocks as well.
