We enjoyed the view of the lake. We also enjoyed paddle boating. The local restaurant, The Highlands Bar and Grill, was delicious and convenient. We would definitely recommend this cabin.
My wife and I had a wonderful time. The cabin was the perfect size for us and right on the water. Right down the road from Chimney Rock and all things Lake Lure. We will definitely be coming back!
Wonderful cabin on beautiful lake.
We enjoyed this cabin & beautiful view of lake.
Sat in swing on front poorch & rockers.
Enjoyed eating breakfast & lunch on back poorch facing lake.
Had wonderful fire in firepit.
Love this cabin.
We had a great weekend get away here this weekend. We were delighted that it is pet friendly as well. The scenery is beautiful and the spacious back porch was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Locating and accessing the cabin was simple, and Holly made checking in super easy. The amenities were clean and up to date- and the bed was comfortable. The wood burning fireplace and accessible fishing area, were highlights we enjoyed as well. We recommend this cabin to others and definitely plan to visit again ourselves!!
My girlfriend and I stayed 5 days at this cabin. The cabin is really nice and clean as you see in there pics. We used the canoe and went fishing in the lake. We hiked chimney rock. We also rented quads at boon life adventures and went horseback riding at cedar creek stables. We had a great time in lake lure. I highly recommend this cabin it's really nice
This is the third year visiting this community of Riverbend in Lake Lure. We love this area. This particular cabin has the best lake access (no stairs), view, and yard. The cabin interior needs updating, however. If your interest is in swimming off the dock and canoeing, you'll like this cabin. The large screen TV is good with Hulu access.
We enjoyed our stay in this nice secluded cabin. Nice view of the lake and adequate amenities in the cabin. The cabin itself is rustic and well used but it was clean upon arrival. The back patio was full of dog hair and the septic system needed some attention. We were never checked on by the owners but I suppose thatâs how they roll. They always answered our questions. If you have any mobility issues, getting down to the lake is quite the challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Thereâs so much to love about this place with its rustic vibe, comfy furniture, wood burning fireplace, huge front and back porches, peaceful lake, kayaks, paddleboat, wildlife and proximity to local attractions. There are fantastic places to visit, all within a 20 minute drive. A few favorite spots were the neighborhood trails and waterfall, the stores and river in Chimney Rock Village, the Lake Lure flowering bridge and waterfront dining at the Lake House. Brody was quick to respond to questions and self check-in/out was a breeze. I hope to be back again soon!
Dated. Needs updating. Doors donât close well. Worn furniture and linens. No effort made to take care of the outside areas, which is important for a rental like this one. Itâs on a pond next to lake Lure, not lake Lure. Wouldnât rent again.
Had a great stay in this beautiful cabin. It was perfect. Clean, comfortable, good shower, cozy bed. The location is excellent. Itâs quiet and feels remote while still being near everything you might need. My only comment would be that the owner should clarify a bit about the drive and access to the property. My little Prius had no problem on the roads, but it is a bit of a rough ride. I was able to use GPS to find it, but I also ran across a couple of lost people during my stay who said they couldnât get their GPS to work. I donât know how much of that was user error and how much was spotty cell service in the area, but it would be tricky to find this place without GPS or a well drawn map.
Overall, this was a great stay. I will be back. Thank you!
The grounds and the setting were beautiful. The house was very disappointing. The cabin needs lots of TLC, updating and inclusion of basic amenities. We have rented cabins in North Carolina for over 15+ years. There was 2 small packets of firewood, enough for one day, not for two weeks. I have NEVER had to buy firewood for any stay in that area. The grills were all rusty, with no charcoal to make a fire.
We were without WIFI and cable until fixed, and an oven for 5 days.
We had to cut our vacation short due to this lack of basic maintenance.
