Bienvenue au «Barb's Cottage»

Une maison mitoyenne confortable située sur la côte ouest de l'île nichée dans un quartier convivial. Le chalet est complet avec 2 chambres avec deux lits simples dans la chambre 2 et deux lits doubles dans la chambre 1, 1 salle de bain avec douche, une cuisine complète, un salon et un joli patio aéré.

À 5 minutes à pied du chalet, vous pouvez plonger dans les eaux fraîches et calmes de la mer des Caraïbes juste à côté du Waves Hotel ou simplement vous asseoir sur la plage avec vos orteils jouant dans le sable et regarder le magnifique coucher de soleil de l'île. Les restaurants en bord de mer Cin Cin, La Cabane et Il Tempio sont à cinq minutes à pied tandis que le Wendy's Snack Bar, un bar local, est à 15 minutes à pied.

Si explorer l'île est pour vous, notre propre service de taxi avec Jamie est disponible jour et nuit pour vous emmener n'importe où ou vous pouvez louer une voiture chez nous à des tarifs compétitifs.
Si les transports publics sont votre truc à seulement deux minutes à pied et vous êtes à l'arrêt de bus.

O Brain our host was unable to greet us , but made sure we were informed he was unavailable and we were greeted by his assistant Maurice who was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed before he departed.The location was absolutely perfect , close to everything, but yet far enough away from resorts and crowded beach’s . The cottage has a cozy home feeling , nothing fancy , just comfortable.

Cottage was super cute and well equipped. Location was excellent. Close to the two beaches and La Cabane restaurant which was wonderful. Property manager was very helpful and ready to support 24/7. Only draw back from this fabulous cottage is no air conditioning.

Excellent value for money

A great holiday let, both Maurice and OB were very helpful. Easy access to virtually anywhere on the island. Everything we imagined Barbados to be, some good cheap and cheerful bars plus good eateries if required. Highly recommend Babbs Cottage.

Beach fun!

Our intention was to step out of our busy schedule and go spend a week at the beach. Barb’s Cottage is perfectly located for that purpose being across the street. It is very safe and allowed us to cook our own meals if necessary or go to local restaurants. Second time there and second wonderful time! Donovan Cox

Perfect Barbados Experience

I spent seven glorious weeks in Barbados at Barb's Cottage. As my first visit to Barbados, Barb's Cottage sounded like a great way to experience an original cottage, with history, in a great location, at a very reasonable price - and it was. As OB said, I was never home! Catching the bus, off to the many beaches on the west coast and more distant locations - never a dull day. Yet my favourite days were with visiting family, the people and the turtles at the local Fitts Beach, and shopping at the local Jordan's Supermarket. OB responded to my inquiries before my arrival and during my stay. He was also interested in my feedback about some upgrades for future renters (couch, cookware, grill, TV). Great time. Thanks for making Barb's Cottage available to me, OB!

This house should be taken/removed from your list,It's disgusting.And the owner refused to return our deposit.We stayed the ONE night,and moved out the next day.The landlord said he would return our deposit,minus one night,but my bank has not received a penny,so far.Are all your members similar to this owner?

The renter complained about the following 1 The distance from the airport 2 The heat 3 A leak. The property is located on the west coast and Barbados is generally hot at this time. We are exploring the possibility of AC in the bedrooms especially for that time of the year The leak was due to the unusual heavy rains experienced in the island at that time and has since been fixed. Our minimum stay is 2 days with a cleaning fee which was not covered by the deposit sent by renter.

Get what you pay for.

Can’t really complain, price was affordable. You cannot expect Four Seasons quality at these prices. There is a club next door, nice to visit, and the noise isn’t too bad ant night. Also a dog in the neighbours yard whines a lot. A couple of minor leaks (roof, toilet and fridge). Maintenance person said they would fix all that for next guests. The biggest recommendation I would give the owner is to buy an air conditioner (even just a portable). The heat was debilitating, even at night. Location is good; short walks to two beaches, and grocery store near by. You can also go get a coffee at the Waves hotel near by. Good place if you are on a budget.

I enjoyed the location of the property. The property did not have AC which made it impossible to stay there during the day. Could only stay there at night. HOPE that the owner would consider installing AC ASAP. The home needed a general cleaning. It was dusty and dirty. My son and I had to spend the entire night cleaning the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom on our very first night at the property. The TV did not work. The bathroom light did not work on our very first night there. The linens were disgusting with stains. It was the worse place i have ever stayed in Barbados. Unfortunately i was there for 35 days. Big mistake!!!!!!!

Great location

We were pleasantly surprised with our recent rental of Barb's Cottage. It's nothing fancy - basic comfortable accommodation in a lovely location. We were worried that there was no A/C but by the end of the first day, didn't miss it at all. Ceiling and floor fans did the trick. The property could use a refresh but was well-equipped in the kitchen. Could use a couple of table lamps in the bedroom and living room to avoid the harsh glare of ceiling lighting but again we got used to it and it wasn't a problem. Right across the road from one of the nicest West Coast beaches and a short walk to Jordan's grocery store (either by the beach or the road). Don't miss La Cabane beach bar/restaurant at Batts Rock Beach (10 minute walk - terrific beach and great vibe for happy hour - live jazz on Wednesday nights and steel drums on Sundays). Easy transport by bus to anywhere on the island but Prospect is a bit removed. Took us 1 3/4 hrs on Friday evening to get to Oistins fish fry. Hometown is a short bus ride north and has lots to choose from for shopping (mostly pretty pricy), dining (a variety of choices) and nightlife. We ate at Surfside bar/resto, had great meal at competitive price, with live reggae music and dancing on a Monday evening (band was Symphony). We'll definitely return to Barb's Cottage!!

We already booked again!

Barb’s cottage is exactly what we were looking for! It is just as shown in the pictures and precisely as described. The location is great - steps to the beach and buses! 5 minute walk to Jordan’s for all your grocery needs. As we were staying a month, I took advantage of their Jordan’s free shuttle service on my first shop. So easy and the driver takes you right to the door and helps bring your load into the house. Easy bus ride to Holetown (although we found it a little too “touristy” for us), Speightstown, Bridgetown, and the South Coast beaches. Must try restaurants walking distance from the cottage: La Cabane is dreamy for a special night. Il Tempio is great for a pizza and glass of wine on the beach. Our favourite was Wendy’s Sports Bar - fabulous and very inexpensive. Loads of delicious food options but we really recommend the pigtails and the ribs - and definitely try the One Drop Sauce (not for the faint of heart). The staff here along with the owner, Mr. Simpson, make you feel like one of the family. Another “must do” is Simone’s Bajan Kitchen and Beach Service at Thunder Bay/Reeds Bay! They are just the friendliest locals providing the best homemade buffet on the beach. Rent a lounger and umbrella from her and make sure you are there for lunch. She takes reservations trough WhatsApp and has a FaceBook page. Finally, the VO Lounge across the gap from the cottage is so special. Upscale, intimate, chic, sexy and fantastic nightly entertainment! Chris and Shania will ensure your glass is never empty and make you feel so very, very welcome. The owner, Tara, and her partner, Oliver, are gems. Good people who gave us the warmest welcome upon our arrival. We came home feeling like we left our VO Family behind. Maurice, the property manager, and OB, Barb’s Cottage owner, were incredibly helpful. The entire process from our initial booking inquiry to check-out was seamless. Both gents are super friendly and you immediately want to be friends with them! If you want to embrace the local community and have a worry-free holiday, this is the place for you.

Nettes Cottage mit etwas Renovierungsstau. Es war alles vorhanden, jedoch müsste mehr auf die Sauberkeit geachtet werden. Ansonsten hatten wir uns wohlgefühlt und hatten eine schöne Zeit.

Typisch karibisches Cottage mit eigenem Parkplatz. Für uns 2 Personen sehr geräumig, es ist alles vorhanden was man als Selbstversorger braucht, Supermarkt nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Der nächste Beach nur 150 m über die Straße entfernt. Der einzige Minuspunkt, der Verkehr kann etwas laut sein. Wir hatten 2 schöne Wochen.

Das Häuschen war perfekt, wir waren zu zweit, hatten viel Platz , Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Besitzer war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Strand ist direkt über die Straße, Busverbindung ist super. Wir waren vier Wochen da, haben die ganze Insel erkundet, ich komme gerne wieder.

Barb’s do

Barbs cottage is exactly that - a cottage, and it was lovely. We spent the month of November in this little gem that provided everything we needed. We had some unpredictable weather and were able to enjoy the back patio where the monkeys would come and visit in the morning and the fireflies at night. The location provides easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches within a 2 or 5 minute walk. Jordan’s the grocery store is just down the road. and those crazy “party buses” will take you anywhere. and are easy access at the end of the drive. The road can be a little noisy at times but the frogs will always sing you to sleep. Thank you OB, Maurice and Terry for your quick response in helping with any questions we had or if we needed anything and always always with a smile.. Wonderful. Will be back soon.

However we have taken our initiative for 'Barbs Cottage' from our father Denzil who has been welcoming guest to this island whilst driving his taxi for the last 50 years.
