Elegantly Designed Mid-Century Modern Home Near Magnolia
Our mid-century modern designed 4b/2ba home is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by a small forest on both sides with no immediate neighbors, a running brook, and across the street from the Arboretum. Here you can enjoy the tranquility of nature while being close to everything in the city. We have a king, 2 queen, 2 bunk beds, and a queen air mattress, totaling beds for 12 guests. This was our home for a couple years, so you will truly feel right at home with all the amenities you need.
We enjoyed our stay. The home was furnished with everything we needed for our family gathering of 12 people. There were a few minor things that we found that needed attention but they didn't affect our experience and the host was very responsive. Overall, we are happy with our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in the Waco area.
Outside could have used some tlc. Outdoor couch cushions where to dirty to sit on, gas grill was dirty and moldy, outdoor chiminia was actually a fire pit , wood provided but not chopped. Thermostat was difficult to figure out o instructions. And we had other tenants on property that we were suddenly made aware of we we existed the garage.
the house was not ready on time. We did not access the house until 7PM and it was still not clean. The property is very old and in need of repairs. If you want more detailed information just let me know. All and all it is the most disappointing property I have ever rented from vrbo.
Although the lack of cleanliness was just one of the issues, the safety and health risk was the big concern and major reason we did not stay at the home. The host had a major roof leak and never addressed the damaged, cracked, and warped drywall ceiling as a disclosure. My wife and daughter did not feel safe even walking underneath the hallway area going to the bedroom/bathroom. We took pictures also showing black mold on the molding where the ceiling leak was. We contacted a vrbo agent immediately about this issue. The agent viewed the pictures and agreed he wouldn't allow his family to stay in a place like this given the health and safety concerns found in this home. It should have been disclosed. We immediately vacated this property at approximately 11:00pm,15-20 minutes after we arrived to find a place to stay for the night, costing us an additional 500. Very disappointing and inconvenient for us for sure. I was hopeful the host would have "done the right thing" after our conversation about his issues, but all he wanted to do was send a cleaning person over to take a look at the areas that needed cleaning. It seems obvious now that there are other motives here. We paid in full in advance for this listing. The host refused to issue a full refund...He only offered a refund of the cleaning fee.We were NOT informed in his listing of any current construction issues or disclaimers on the water damage he currently has. We are sorry that we were not taken seriously...
Entry stairs challenging for disabled or elderly. No access to driveway due to an unknown rental camper at the top of the driveway, renters car was parked in the driveway. Step down in den area also challenging for elderly parent who had sight issues.
Not the owners fault but the road leading to the property is all chewed up, best way to explain it. Then at the top of their driveway there is a trailer that is also being rented out. The property is listed as "surrounded by woods" but they forget to add " and extra guest". The decor is beautiful but there is no ceiling fan in the main living/kitchen area and it can get warm in there. I noticed that the cleanliness could be better. I am a cleaning person myself so I noticed many things. Maybe they are cleaning themselves but it would serve well if they invested in a professional. Also, someone showed up to get stuff out of the garage and that was strange.
Again, a beautiful property but know that you are really sharing the property with someone else at the top of the driveway. While I stayed the couple there were great but you never know who is going to be there. And for the price I would expect it to be cleaner.
Stayed here during the silos marathon. We had 3 generations of family members and it accommodated us all beautifully. I highly recommend this property.
Lots of space to spreadout for sleeping. Large kitchen and big table for meals or games. Neighborhood felt safe and close to everything we needed but secluded. Minutes to downtown Waco
Our family had a great experience from start to finish. Great communication with the owners - even before we booked their home. Everything you need and could ever think of is available - they truly thought of everything! Very quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac. Great floor plan - home is beautifully decorated/furnished. Absolutely loved it!
I'm married to my beautiful bride, Brooke, and we have a 4 year old boy and 3 year old girl. I work as a school teacher and manage short term rental properties. My wife is a graphic designer. We love Jesus, love people, and love life.
This was the very first home we've ever owned. It's a dream come true and so special to us. We redesigned it and furnished it into our dream home. Eventually, we had to move due to work commitments. However, we didn't want to sell our home because it's so special to us, we really love Waco, and would still love to come back to our home from time to time. So we decided to keep it as a short term rental. And now you get to enjoy our dream home. I hope that you love it just as much as we do.
