This property is tired, dirty and falling apart. I touched the curtains in the master bedroom and the curtain rod fell down. Upon looking at it closely, you could tell it was broken. We tried to work the TV in the living room and finally took the plug out of the wall. We called the owner to ask how to work it and she sent us a very weird text back telling us she was in Italy. Period. No other contact to call. The water situation was horrendous. Smelled like rotten eggs and I understand the water is very different from the Northeast (our Mother in law lives in the area) but there were signs everywhere to be careful using the water, toilets, etc. If we knew this, we would not have rented this house. No instructions of any kind for the house, old tired sheets, towels and bedspreads, very little supplies to get started ( 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and a few paper towels left on the roll.) The back of the house is coming apart from the structure.
We have rented many times from VRBO and this was, by far, the worst house we have every rented.
Oh, yes, reasonably priced! Well, never you fret, you get that, too! This property is all it claims and then some! Located in a quiet neighborhood, near a beautiful park/bird sanctuary and conveniently located to all Venice and its surrounding areas has to offer, you would be remiss to not consider staying here! The host is kind, communicative, and highly committed to you having an enjoyable stay! Check-in/out is a breeze. The home is clean, the beds extremely comfortable, and there are plenty of towels and extra blankets, if needed. There are even fun beach accoutrements located in the garage available for use (just make sure to return them for the next guest)! The most unique and fun feature in the home was a display of shells and shark teeth on built-in shelves in the kitchen. We added two shells (one for each of us) to the collection, commemorating our stay.We will definitely be returning and hope that you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
