This place is the perfect getaway, in need of just getting away, this is the spot. Our ranch house is located one hour away from Dallas, Tx. In just one hour your in a completely new world, the country. The house is on a 60 acre ranch, leaving tons of space for the kids to run free. The land has three ponds which one is great for fishing or caneoing. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. This place is beautiful and great for multiple families or big groups.

We stayed several nights and viewed the 2024 total solar eclipse from this property. It was fabulously maintained and we enjoyed it immensely.

Family getaway

We all enjoyed the park like setting of the yard and fishing in the lake. The house is was large enough for all of us to spread out and be comfortable. Our fur babies loved it as well:) Thank y’all for the nice stay.

Family wedding trip

We came to town for a family wedding and all of us enjoyed our stay at the ranch. We jumped on the trampoline, walked all around the fields, caught several bass and safely released them, sat under the carport and laughed together, and even rode the canoes in the pond. What fun! Thank you!!

Phenomenal per usual...

We always thoroughly enjoy our stay here! Just enough wildlife to keep your pup’s nose in the air all day! The peace here is virtually unmatched, and that is what we value. Everything you’d need for a comfortable stay is available on the inside as well. Highly recommended, obviously. Thank you Beckner’s!

Just what we were looking for....

If all you need is lots of pure peace and serenity, this is a great place for it. Even when it came to unexpected incidents, everything was handled with grace. I’d almost rather not give it the review it deserves so it’ll be available when we need it lol, but we would never do that. I will say that we’d probably still be there right now if it wasn’t already previously reserved. We greatly thank the host for their kindness and hospitality in sharing their property.

Fantastic Getaway!

Spent a long weekend here to go fishing on Lake Fork. The lake was too low to comfortably get the boat in the water so having the pond onsite at the property made the trip fantastic. Great catch and release pond with lots of Bass and some Blue Gill too. We will be back!

So peaceful

This place was extremely peaceful! Its as if you go into a whole different world once you pass the gate. We did go past the property twice because we were looking for a red windmill and didn’t realize we passed it because it was red and blue but that was our fault. The property had everything you would need and more. Only thing i would say is heads up to families with small children as the pond is pretty close and we did see a couple snakes. But the view from the windows was beautiful we saw turtles, raccoons, armadillo and heard tons of different birds. There is plenty of space!!!

Great stay!

Overall had a nice stay. The kids enjoyed kicking around the pond and property during the day. We fired up the pit every night with the plenty of firewood provided. The only suggestion would be to clean the big bay windows in the living room to further enhance the view.

Quiet getaway

Property was just what we needed to get away for a quick weekend trip. We had 5 of ranging from 4-50 and we all enjoyed ourselves. We loved the outdoor games and fishing. The view is amazing.

Fantastic!!!

This property is a hidden gem! It’s close enough to the metroplex for an easy, enjoyable drive. We enjoyed the scenic views from anywhere inside or outside. Fully stocked house with anything you would need. We brought groceries and never left! We were really needing some outside, relaxing time and that’s exactly what we got. Plenty of hammocks to swing and read in. The fire pit each night was the kids’ favorite. We brought our own sticks for marshmallow roasting. The dads caught fish in the pond. The moms took a walk up the road with the kids and were treated to several friendly cows. We will be back! The beds were also extremely comfortable! Thank you!

The best vacation rental ever.. period.!!!

We were planning to go for one last vacation before our son's summer vacation ended & he gets busy with his school year. So, it came down to his preference in selecting the property. One of his main criteria was to have a hot tub. So, we were practically filtering properties based on hot tub availability, but then almost all those properties didn't have anything else to do, so we asked him his second preference & he said he wants a lake nearby. After looking at multiple choices, we stumbled upon this one & let me begin by saying that the pictures posted for this property don't really do complete justice to the real beauty of the property. We arrived pretty late, so it was indeed difficult to locate the property in the dark, but Linda was pretty helpful in guiding us all the way to the property as it is a bit difficult to locate using google maps or waze. Anyhow, we were all exhausted that night, so slept off right after having the dinner. Next day morning, we woke up to an amazing view, which was practically jaw-dropping. There was so much to do & 3 days isn't really enough to take it all in. To list a few activities / amenities: 1. Kayaking 2. Giant Trampoline 3. Jenga 4. Corn hole 5. Fishing (although we didn't get time to do this) 6. Indoor games 7. Biking 8. Campfire 9. Beautiful & Clean house 10. Stocked Kitchen 11. Lots & Lots of windows (the house gets so bright in the day) We are already planning our next trip here & can't wait for it. Thank you Michael & Linda for extending your home for others to experience. :-)
