Waterfront cottage/home with boat dock on Olcott Lake (Morningwood Manor)

Enjoy this open floor plan, 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home decorated to perfection! There is room for 6 guests including the pull out sofa. Gorgeous kitchen with top of the line appliances and fully stocked cupboards. The home includes: wifi, smart TV, washer & dryer, gas grill, fire pit, and dock for your boat!
Need a boat for the weekend? We have a pontoon you can rent for $250 per day.

This home has 40' of sandy bottom lake frontage which is perfect for swimming right out front! It is also shallow enough for kids and has 2 steps with a handrail to easily step down from the seawall.

This is an adorable house in a great location!

Wonderful stay!

This is a lovely, well-appointed property and our group had a wonderful few days fishing off the dock and taking the pontoon boat to the sand bar. Hope to come back again next summer!

Everything is exactly as pictured. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was so helpful and quick to respond. We LOVED our stay and would highly recommend this location.

Lake Relaxation

We had a wonderful time at the lake relaxing and re-introducing boating to the grand kids! Paulette and Dan were amazing hosts and we felt at home in their home!

First ever VRBO booking, exceeded expectations!

From the moment we pulled in the driveway, we could tell this was going to be a great stay. Great view of the lake and the property was very clean inside and out. Would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely look to book in the future. We had a Family of 5 and it worked perfectly for our needs. Now back to reality, sad to leave…

Amazing Experience

This was our first stay at Morningwood Manor. Very clean and spacious. It had everything you could need and more. Neighbors were so friendly and helpful. Already booked our stay here for next year. Highly recommend this waterfront home.

This home was finished with pleasant attention to details and is well cared for. We felt welcomed like friends and enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly and helpful. The house has a great lake vibe with plenty of fresh air and sun light all day. A perfect place to relax.

Beautiful Lake House

We had a great experience at the lake last week. The property owners, Paulette and Dan, are super nice. The place was very clean and had just about everything there that you would need. There are many good restaurants and shopping nearby. My kids caught lots of fish right off the dock. It is also a very peaceful and relaxing area to stay in. I would totally stay there again.

Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful time! My husband and I brought our three young children here for a little getaway. The kids enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock. We rented the pontoon for a day, which was a lot of fun. The house was very clean, nicely updated, and we used the fire pit and grill a few nights. The neighbors were very friendly and the house is a short drive away to Brooklyn, where we ate and did some shopping. Definitely recommend!

A Perfect Break

We had a wonderful stay. Property owners Paulette & Dan were amazing. They stopped by and helped build a fire the evening we arrived and provided a personal pontoon boat training session. The surrounding neighbors were also super friendly. This was the perfect place for our cousins girl getaway and had plenty of entertainment for our day visitors (kids & husbands). This rental is highly recommended! Thanks for the perfect relaxing weekend!

Amazing Place

The house was very cozy and perfect size. It was well kept up and very clean!! The house had everything we would need so we didn't have to bring to much. We had a girls weekend (my Mom's birthday weekend) with 7 of us. All neighbors were great and fun to hang out with. We was also invited to go on a boat ride with them. There was nothing less than great vibes all weekend!! We will be back!! :)

Great time, great house, friendly neighbors

This was a short trip of two nights and it was great. The property owner was kind and helpful with finding the boat launch and property. The unit was clean and fully stocked. We didn’t have any complaints and would gladly come back. The fishing was good as well; I almost caught a Gar Pike but he jumped out the net. 5 stars!

Delightful Cottage

The cottage is a delight. The pictures do not lie. The Kitchen has what you need to cook. It was nice to be able to sit outside under the awning. The owners were thoughtful and made sure that we had candles and flashlights in case the electricity was knocked out by the powerful storms which went through during our stay. It stayed on but their concern was much appreciated.

The home was just as described. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Kids had tons of fun fishing off the dock and riding the pontoon boat. Highly recommended!

Great Place

Loved the house, extras like the awning and privacy screen were great touches. Brought our pontoon and enjoyed fishing and tubing. Grilled and had bonfire also. All the neighbors were nice and very friendly. Owners very quick to respond with our questions about parking and putting the boat in. Would surely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful and Relaxing! We will definitely be back!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property. First, it is right on the lake and If you like to fish they are literally hopping on your hook right off the dock. Second, I have never stayed at a nicer neighborhood. It is clean and all of the neighbors are polite. Third, the home itself has everything you could possibly need. Paulette has thought of ever detail. Fourth, the house is very clean and looks like an interior decorator was hired for every touch. The beds were comfortable and rooms were very beautiful. Finally, the scenery was absolutelybreathtaking..we enjoyed our coffee on the patio watching the water in the morning and the neighbors invited us on a sunset cruise of the lakes on their boat in the evening. This lake connects to 5 other lakes. Outside of the home itself we enjoyed touring hidden lake gardens and Tecumseh has some great shops. We also went kayaking in Tecumseh. We are so happy to have found this little "gem on the lake".

Great mid Michigan lake house!

Easy to find and great communication with the owners. Very clean and perfect little spot on the lake. My kids said this was the best weekend ever and wanted to live there permanently. Caught some fish off the dock and perfect fishing for my 4 yr old daughter and 7 yr old son. Hope to return in the near future!

Nice rental

Will try to come back next summer. Be sure to have a fishing license on the lake if boating, they do patrol. Enjoyed the provided fire pit and wood, nice touch.
