Home away from home

Comfortable stay and host was very helpful. Affordable, clean, bed was very comfortable, water was hot and kitchen well equipped to cook. Yard is nice size, very close to Niagara falls and entrance into Canada.

The kitchen seemed clean & well equipped. My biggest concern was the floor board beneath the heating vent. It appeared to be rotted away. I was concerned about our dogs getting caught there. Also, the front steps were in bad shape, the stair could benefit from being replaced. Finally, we couldn’t let the dogs out in the back yard as a part of the fence was broken. The house was clean . The bedrooms were simply furnished but the beds seemed to be well used. Our stay there was okay, but it could have been better. The pictures showed a well lit open concept room. The curtains really darkened the room and the lighting could be better. Thank you!

Good place

Good place to stay. Less than 10 minutes to the Falls. The neighborhood wasn't great but the inside of the house was nice and very clean.

Feb Niagara Falls Getaway

The neighborhood was rough but the street where the house is was good. I would not have walked to the falls due to this but the property was warm and cozy for our mid-winter getaway.

Not as expected, but still good.

Our stay was fine, although it was not as expected. Had trouble communicating with host as I kept getting auto-responses and not the answer to my question of needing a pack n play (they did provide one). Did not look like the photos - couch was different (a fabric sectional style) and there was no dining table. There was a small decorative table with 4 high stools on it, but no one dared to sit at it as it looked un-sturdy. Also, kitchen is very minimally stocked. Only had 1 hot pad and no pizza cutter, though it did have kitchen shears, which worked fine. However, beds were wonderful and both furnace and air worked great (we visited in October and needed both!). It suited our needs just fine.

Overall clean and comfortable

A good location, not far from the Falls. Thank you for accommodating our family this past weekend. Pros: Clean, renovated house. We felt safe here. Easy check-in/check-out. Great Uber service from the house. Suitable for 3-4 guests very comfortably. Nice kitchen/living space downstairs. Windows have screens and locks and can open from inside if fresh air is needed. Host sent a message mid-stay to inquire if we needed anything. No significant issues. Cons: Beds SHOULD have mattress covers! Largest bedroom door doesn't shut. No bars or hooks to hang things in the closets, so our jackets had to be left laying on the couch. Tight hallway upstairs. Towels need to be replaced. A couple were stained and they're on the small side for adults. Overall, we were pleased.

I've been trying very hard to be fair about my review. Because I was the one who booked the house for my family. From the very moment of pulling up to the house. It was not in a good neighborhood and it was very run down and sketchy to say the least. My wife and kids at first was very upset and concerned about their safety. I tried to reassure them we would be okay and it was too late to cancel. So we proceeded to enter. The code for the house was accurate and so was the wifi so that helped settle down the kids. The lower level of the house was nice but not really accommodating for a family of four. The couch was stained and the flooring was coming apart and the dining room table and chairs are basically unusable. Not that they're old, just cheap and flimsy. The exterior of the house was filthy and cob webs everywhere around the windows. The trash can in the back was left full and we had some rodents tearing it up some. Also there was no outside seating, so we had to sit on the stoop for fresh air. On the second night in the house it was raining very hard outside. I starting to hear water getting in the house and we muted the TV and the basement door was locked. But the drainage system was leaking profusely into the basement. I also noticed some remnants of mice and other rodents that were able to get into the basement and or house. The house provided us with the shelter we needed for our stay, would never return. We left a day early!

Long Weekend Birthday Trip

Check in process good. Really zero communication other than their email upon arrival and day of check out. Mostly clean except found a big clump of long strands of hair in bathroom shower on wall. :(! No air conditioning upstairs bedrooms, only loud ceiling fans. No place to hang clothing in any of the three bedrooms. Only the master bedroom had a chest of drawers and night stands with drawers. The list of amenities did say no iron or hair dryer (we brought). We brought the things we thought we’d need based on photos and listed as “basic”amenities. Truly......very “basic”. We bought & brought inexpensive bed pillows (based on pictures) and left them behind. Neighborhood could be considered unsafe as spoken by local taxi drivers. We were fine. Parking free but on street. Overall we we’re ok with the stay and the steep stairs up to bedrooms & bath.

Keep looking, you can do better

Not a 5 minute walk from anything as advertised. Floor in great room had a soft spot that felt like you might fall through it. Kitchen table had 3 chairs total. No usable closets in the entire house for coats or hanging clothes. Upon arrival the house was 82 degrees! The information provided stated the thermostat was under the tv. There was a white box on the wall that said ‘alarm.com’ and there were no lights or digital reading, which made us question if this was actually the thermostat or not. Upon messaging, we were rudely told it was under the tv and to just adjust it. We removed the cover and adjusted the batteries, which did finally make it work. However, if you turned it to 65, the heat kept running and never shut off! The bathroom faucet was leaking and the sink broke when the water was turned on. If you like lukewarm showers with low water pressure, this is your place! Keep looking…there has to be better options!!
