The property was amazing and accomodated all our individual needs from relaxing poolside to exhaustive volleyball games. We will definitely cherish our memories at Tropical Villa.
We are family of 7 and stayed here for a week. House is absolutely beautiful! We played pool, volleyball, foosball, pingpong and swam every day in the pool. Plenty of towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. The house was spotless when we arrived and check in was super easy. House is close to the grocery store and so many local restaurants. Plus only a few min from the beach. Kathy is the concierge of the home and set up 3 AMAZING excursions for our family at a lower rate then we could find on our own!! She was available 24/7 to answer questions regarding the area, shopping and even helped us coordinate the adoption of a local stray cat. This was a wonderful trip and we will definitely be back!
6 adults stayed for 7 nights. There was plenty of room and online pictures are very accurate. The planning, arrival, stay and departure were great from concierge to airport transportation. I would highly recommend this Villa. Plenty of games, like billiards, darts and volleyball to keep everyone busy.
This property is truly amazing! We spent our entire week lounging around the pool, the hot tub and under the shaded gazebos. What a relaxing time. Canât wait to schedule our return trip!
ps- many thanks to Ed, Kathy and Katherine who were available for our local questions and helped us with bookings of tours and anything & everything else we needed. They were great.

Our stay was awesome. The house and amenities were great. Pool area is beautiful (little problem with ants and bees). Plenty of room for families. Need to rent a car because you are not within walking distance from anything. I referred another group who rented after us who were also very happy with the rental.
We enjoyed having our family vacation at Villla Tropical celebrating a 50th birthday! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property! It was well kept, and we loved all the amazing amenities, including pool with waterfall, hot tub, sand volleyball pit, pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and more! Kathleen and Kathy both went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable! Communication was great! This house is centrally located to beaches, restaurants, and supermarkets. We had such a wonderful stay and loved the option to have massages and pedis right on site!
I highly recommend The Tropical Villa!
Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful place!!!
Our stay at Tropical Villa was in one word - OUTSTANDING!!! The experience far exceeded our expectations and we definitely look forward to a return to our own âprivate paradiseâ. Canât wait to share our experience with family and friends as well. The groundskeeper Javier was very accommodating to our needs and truly an asset to all of us. We, as a family, have been blessed by this âvacation of a lifetimeâ. Many thanks and best wishes to Kurt and Javier. God Bless.
Our family loved our stay at Villa Tropical! The inside was clean, well-decorated and well-stocked with everything we needed (including lots of bath and pool towels, beach chairs, coolers, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, coffee filters, etc.). The outside was beautiful! We enjoyed relaxing by and in the pool, eating under the palapa (complete with outdoor TV and refrigerator), and playing darts and ping pong. Kathy was an amazing concierge! Do yourself a favor and enjoy her hot stone massage outside after dark- you won't regret it. We also enjoyed the barbecue dinner prepared and served by Kathy, Eduardo and Katherine under the palapa. Amazing experience all around!
We arrived at the property and the kids immediately jumped in the pool!
Our family of 10 stayed here for the week. We love using VRBO because hotels are too expensive with the size of our family. This house is in a safe area( all of Aruba is ) but I really need to feel it and I did. Javier the housekeeper was helpful with anything we needed. The house is clean and huge. The backyard over looks Aruba . The skyline at night is beautiful and the property is well lit. The kids loved the house and if we ever come back to Aruba we will stay here again!
We enjoyed having our family vacation at Villla Tropical! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property! It was well kept, and it had tons of cool amenities, including pool with waterfall, hot tub, sand volleyball pit, pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and more! Communication with both the owner and property management was great. Everyone was kind and wanted to make sure we had a wonderful stay. They went above and beyond to make us happy. This house is centrally located to beaches, restaurants, and supermarkets. There is so much to do and see!
We even arranged to have hot stone massages at the property! So relaxing!
Thank you for letting us stay at this beautiful place!!!
The house is just as spectacular as it looked on VRBO. The first two days of our vacation, it was hard to tear ourselves away from the house to leave to explore Aruba. So many things to do on the property...the pool, hot tub, volleyball court, ping pong table, just the grounds themselves. We were able to pick limes and papayas for our dinner. At night, several of the palm trees ahd little lights that you could turn on. The kitchen and laundry facilities were brand new. TVs in the den and every bedroom. The air conditioners and fans kept the house very comfortable. The bedrooms were very comfortable. Would love to return for another stay.!
Amazing Aruba property! The pictures donât do it justice. All of the pictures of the pool make the pool look really really small and itâs not. There were 12 of us in the pool and there was plenty of room to still swim around. We love the outside area to listen to music, sit and have dinner and play cards. Diego cookEd for us a few nights and the food he prepared was even better than the restaurants in Aruba and more reasonable!
I recommend hiring Diego to cook at least one meal for you during your stay. Catherine did a great job cleaning and Kurt is an amazing property owner and it is extremely responsive to any concerns or questions you may have. Weâre considering booking this property again with all of our children versus just with 12 adults. Thereâs ping-pong foosball pool table tons of stuff to do for kids and adults.
We spent our college age daughters' spring break vacation at Aruba Villa Tropical and our entire family was extremely happy here. The owner Kurt was there to greet us and he and Javier showed us around. Kurt had just upgraded the TWO outdoor sound systems with powerful bluetooth speakers that we used every single day. He also just bought a giant new bbq grill for the home. The home is very comfortable with plenty of linens and towels. There is also plenty of beach chairs and towels. The kitchen is amazing and the house even has TWO washers and dryers. The garden is fantastic and the backyard was full of papaya that we ate everyday. Our kids had fun playing volleyball in the backyard and billiards under the gazebo. This house is a 5 star winner and also is a great value in comparison to other homes we have rented on Aruba. We will be back for sure!
To celebrate our 50th anniversary our extended family of 11 adults and 1 child stayed at this tropical villa. The villa allowed privacy for all of us with its five secluded bedrooms. The outdoor space was exceptional. We spent many hours in the pool, enjoyed the outdoor speakers, volleyball area, hot tub, and large table under the palapa. The outdoor camp chairs were great. We took them to Aruba's wonderful beaches with us every day. Grocery stores, restaurants, beaches, and St Anna Catholic Church were only a short drive away. Javier, the property manager, was onsite upon our arrival to greet us and show us around. Javier and Diego prepared food for us twice. The Latin barbecue and three types of ceviche were fabulous. They also handled the clean up afterwards. We enjoyed picking lemons from the fruit tree on the property for our tropical drinks. Owner Kurt answered all of our questions and checked in with us during our stay.
Some things that would make the villa even better would be vinyl bath mats for the tile showers, as these can be slippery. This is not a problem if you were waterproof sandals in the shower. We would have preferred stainless steel cookware but managed with the non stick utensils provided. The ice dispenser could not keep up to our use. An additional ice maker would be nice for a large group, but nearby stores have plenty of ice. If we return to Aruba as a large group, we would love to stay here again!

Septic waste takes away a lot of the beautiful property
We found AVT to be just ok with the potential to be a great property if it receives the appropriate TLC. The grounds are beautiful and we very much enjoyed the garden gazebo, volleyball court, and awesome pool and jacuzzi. The house itself is very spacious. The MBR, its bathroom & kitchen are modern. The layout of the rooms is well thought out. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately this is where the positive aspects end. The pictures that you see online donât do this home justice but unfortunately not in a positive way. The secondary bedrooms and bathrooms are overdue for a renovation. Sinks were clogged, fixtures were old, bathroom doors wouldnât lock, and one shower and kitchen never had hot water. Because of the non working shower in the 5th bedroom we had to share one shower with 4 people. We did address this with the owner but it was not corrected. There were quite a few cats & chickens which we actually enjoyed but I can see how it would bother other people. Especially since once in a while the cats would bring us presents in the shape of dead regurgitated lizards. The house had bright white LED lighting which is uninviting at night. One day we had two leaks because of rain - one by the window by the front door and one major one in the 5th bedroom. The sliding doors were difficult to open but according to the owner new doors will be installed soon. Lizards kept leaving droppings on the laundry room folding table because of a gap in the outside door. One of the bedrooms did not have any shades but this was corrected after we brought this up with Javier. The one thing that surprised and bothered us the most was that 5 times during our stay we had a truck pull up and dump septic waste right behind the fence in the back yard through a permanent flex pipe. One time the driver actually grabbed a folding chair, sat down in the yard and watched as human waste with toilet paper and baby wipes was being dumped right next to the volley ball court. The hand book does mention that septic water will be dumped âonce or twice a week around the fruit treesâ but we felt it was pretty unsanitary. We could have brought up more of our concerns but in all honesty you are on vacation and just donât feel like going through a laundry list. Most of these things should be obvious to the people who rent this out by doing a simple walk through every so often. All in all we had a great vacation but we will be looking for another home next time.
When my wife and I came to Aruba on our honeymoon 20 years ago, we vowed to bring our children back with us. We'll, we did just that and decided to bring other family and friends and needed a big place to handle our crew. Villa Tropical fit the bill very well.
Kurt the owner was very pleasant and helpful to work with. He put us in touch with our concierge Kathy whom I can't say enough good things about. She's family now. She was able to help us out in several areas of our trip including connecting us with Donna our vow renewal planner and coordinator. Renewal ceremony was more than we could've hoped for down to every detail.
The house and grounds were gorgeous. Well kept and the space fit our crew well. We were able to spread out and not feel cramped. The pool was fantastic and we all found our favorite areas to hang out.
Location of the house was great also. Very short drives to stores, and Palm and Eagle beaches.
Overall I can't say enough good things... was it perfect? No. As with any heavily used property there are always little things, but none that really negatively affected our experience there at all and were addressed quickly. Everything was clean and ready to go for us when we arrived.
To everyone at the property, we say thanks for the memories...
This place had it all. We had 7 people in our group. Huge amount of space. Everything was spot on. I would definitely stay there again. The huge outdoor space was great!
Kurt was super responsive and helpful answering all our questions. The house was as described and very well equipped with all the daily essentials. There where some minor imperfections as with all properties. The outdoor space was where we spent most of our time at the house and couldnât have been any better. The cabanas, pool, and hot tub were amazing. Overall we would rent again, thanks for the hospitality. Aruba is definitely The Happy Island, great place to vacation too.
The house is a nice house sitting on a hill like a castle. But the pictures are outdated the house needs to upgrades. The owner of the home told me the caretaker was Javier but I never saw him until second to the last day and we stay there for 7days. Kathy was the one who we dealt with mostly unless I mess the owner on VRBO. Kathy nor Javier spoke English. Luckily we have a family member who spoke Spanish. One room was full of ants on the wall and in the bed. I had my family member message Kathy via whatâs up app thatâs how they like to communicate via that app. She messaged her in Spanish about the ants, hot tube not working and pool being dirty. Then there was a issue of someone coming in and out of the garage door whenever they wanted to use the washer and dryer in the house. Huge security issue for me and made a lot of my family members uncomfortable. Apparently the people who take care of the grounds live next door and they have access to the a house which was never ever disclose to us. So I message the owner he never answered me on this issue. So I had to put chairs under the doors knobs when we went to bed. When ask Kathy about this she said that the workers washer and dryer wasnât good. Iâm was like ok but they should ask or announce themselves before entering our vacation home that we paid for. Message the owner several times about the hot tube which is in the listing it didnât work the whole time we was there and they finally sent someone out to fix it the last night we was there and we had to deal with workers coming in and out and noise after I had been asking for this to be fix all week. The shower is one of the rooms doesnât drain correctly leaks on the floor. Kitchen sink faucet is about to fall apart and furniture has wholes all in it. Police showed up at the house and came around back unannounced saying they got a call for loud music when we wasnât playing any music. We saw them watching us earlier that day when we was going out on the ATVâs. Come to find out from the local this house is known around the the island as the party house and is known to have wild parties. So no wonder the police showed up unannounced but they got a surprise no craziness going on. We went with this house because of the pictures and the size. Not all is bad the master suite is really nice. I would like what I pay for, safety, cleanlines, and communicate I didnât get my money worth with this stay. Credits should be given for all the inconvenience
I first came to Aruba in 1999 on a cruise ship with my wife. Not only did we have a great day, but it was a high wind day and I saw dozens of windsurfers hauling across the water. I came back 6 months later for a whole month with the intention of learning to windsurf. I am still friends with many of the people I met that month years ago. We also operate a lodge in Alaska and luxury boutique apartments in Medellin, Colombia
I have a private lending and real estate development business in Anchorage Alaska. I live on the island approximately 60 days a year.
Large 2+ acre lot with a white sand volleyball court in the middle of a fruit tree garden. This house has every amenity you could ask for. A private resort.
