Honestly I think the cost was not worth the stay. We had been looking forward to the hot tub, but it wouldnât heat up (we waited 2 hours). The shower didnât drain well (standing water) and didnât have a liner so the curtain was moldy on the bottom from having to be inside the bathtub. Iâd say for the price we paid (around 300/night) I could have tried a hotel. The atmosphere of a cabin is a nice idea in theory. The owners were fairly quick to respond when we arrived and let us check in a little early.
This was an ideal place for a quiet getaway. My husband and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary at Rock Ridge and enjoyed every aspect of it. There are neighboring cabins but plenty of space and trees to separate them and still feel secluded. Would definitely revisit and recommend to others.
The cabin was in a nice location very quiet. But I will have to say the cabin smelled like it had not been stayed in for awhile. There was a hole in the pouch which was told to the owner of cabin and the stairs I did not like that much very weak would. But overall the place was relaxing. Need to update cooking utensils..
10 /10 !â Great cabin. super clean. very quiet and relaxing. surround trees keep you secluded and private. perfect for a couple or a big family. .. we will definitely be back for another get away weekend. great communication and directions from the owners . super close and easy access to all the eateries .. all the distilleries .. lakes games and night life . I travel the country on business. this property has everything you could ask for. thanks again . cody
The property was perfect for our family of 5. The kids could explore the area without getting lost or going too far. The kids loved the hot tub and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. We cooked most meals in the cabin and had all the tools we needed. Beds are very comfy and there was a TV in bedrooms and living room. I really appreciated the contactless check-in and check-out process!
The cabin is semi remote which is what we were looking for. But there are restaurants and things to do very close by. The pillows were amazing. We did have a problem with the shower during our stay and the owner was very responsive. Someone came out right away and fixed it. Great communication. The hot tub was such a relaxing thing to do every evening. Even though it was cold, we took advantage. We played a lot of cornhole there. So glad they had that available. The only issue with the Cabin was the roads to get there. If we had had a car and not a larger vehicle, it would've been so difficult. It's on a dirt road with lots of deep pot holes that were difficult to get around. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay.
This is our 4th stay on hochatown and this was my least favorite cabin. The furniture wasnât comfortable, the jacuzzi wasn't covered well, there were wet leaves everywhere when trying to get in. the beds took up the entire bedroom and you couldnât get into the closets. There was laundry left in the washer and dryer.
My wife wrote a review in the home's journal. The only thing we had issue with was a slow drain in the shower and the deverter for the shower or bath didn't work. You have a very beautiful home.
Cabin is very well cleaned and maintained, and they decorated for the holidays which added an extra level of comfort. The location is awesome. Being surrounded on all sides by trees makes you feel like youâre out far away from anyone, but is also so close to the highway to make running errands or going for activities super easy. I found this place last minute and would absolutely book again. Hoping to return sometime soon!
The property was a perfect location for us. The cabin was clean. Disappointed in no satellite TV, coffee maker and shower didn't function properly. Hot water heater only allows for 1 shower. Communications great.
My partner and I had a wonderful weekend getaway at Rock Ridge Cabin. It's perfect for a couple, small group of friends, or a small family. The cabin was cozy, had everything we needed. It was the ideal combination of "space from other people" and "close enough to the market for anything we needed". Rock Ridge was everything we hoped for. We would definitely stay here again!
