Cheerful 3 Bdrm Lakefront Cottage on Lake Oconee

Our lakefront cottage sits on a quiet and peaceful cove on beautiful Lake Oconee. The setting is in bucolic Putnam county amid pastures and farms, yet still close to lots of amenities. The dock is the perfect place to slip into the water and cool off during a hot summer day, or just to hang out and relax by the water. Take out the kayaks early in the morning and watch the sun rise for the most peaceful and serene bonding time with nature. There are several marinas close by to rent a boat for the day as well.

Enjoy the large, grassy backyard, play cornhole, or relax on the hammock swings overlooking the water. The main living space is an open floor plan where the whole family or group can hang out together or watch a movie on the big screen tv. There’s a large table for 8 to play board games as well as enjoy meals together. At night, hang out on the expansive deck, grill your favorite meal and watch the sun set over the lake. There is a large Master Bedroom and private ensuite with a whirlpool tub, body sprays in the shower and a king bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed overlooking the lake and a third bedroom with two sets of bunk beds. The home has a very relaxed and comfortable vibe, which we hope will make you feel at home right away!

Peaceful location on the lake. Great space inside and outside. Lots to do! Kayaking, ping pong, corn hole, making s'mores in the fire pit, grilling hamburgers or just relaxing! Truly appreciate the Goldstein family sharing their home with my family!

Karen, Thanks for your feedback. We realize that there were heavy thunder storms in the area during your stay, which could have brought down sticks and branches. We have already reached out to our landscape company, who professionally maintains the property every two weeks, to swing swing by and make sure everything is neat and tidy.

Property was fabulous! Enjoyed fireworks on the lake! The issues we encountered last year were definitely taken care of! No cobwebs in the garage, and my granddaughter enjoyed the garage games this year without fear of bugs lol. House was well stocked with toiletries, linens, towels and soaps! Rick and Stacey allowed us an early check-in as well, which was greatly appreciated after a long drive to Georgia. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

Family Vacation

We loved everything about this beautiful home and property. Situated in a small cove with a dock. We loved using the kayaks that come with the rental. The view is beautiful and the home is exactly as described. Comfortable beds, lots of seating inside and outside on the deck and a great fire pit. Check in and check out very easy. Communication with the property owner was always prompt. We hope to return.

Perfect Thanksgiving stay

My family and I stayed here over the Thanksgiving Holiday! We had a lovely stay! The game room kept my husband and nephew entertained! We used the kayaks multiple times and enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Communication with the host was super easy!! Perfect kitchen to prepare and eat our thanksgiving meal! We had more than enough space for the amount of people staying with us! The distance between the house and lake is perfect especially if you have littles and don’t want to worry about any accidents with the water. We really enjoyed our time!

Perfect for Us

Fit our needs perfectly. Very clean. Everything was up to date. Very nice water view. Roommate layout allowed kids and parents to be on one side and grandparents on the other.

Relaxing location right at the water's edge

Truly enjoyed our stay on the lake. The home is spacious and the bunk bed room allows room for even more friends (we only had 4 of us and we had lots of space). Communication with the host was prompt and the home offers many great features- kayaks ! well stocked kitchen, hammock swings under the porch! a game room in the garage, whirlpool tub in the main bedroom. We had a real hot one while we were there so we did not get to use all the amenities but the AC also did a great job to keep the space cool from the extreme heat we were having. Overall would certainly recommend for a future stay!

Just as described!

Rick and Stacey are very responsive owners, who communicate very well and promptly with their guests. They have remodeled and maintained a wonderful family friendly lake house. The house is updated, comfortable, clean and perfect for families. We enjoyed grilling on the outside grill, roasting s’mores in the fire pit, watching movies and playing games on a rainy day. Our kids loved running outside around the property, swinging on the hammocks and playing foosball, darts, cornball and ping pong in the garage. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is clean and has most of what you will need for your stay and the family room is large and there’s plenty of comfy seating for everyone. Our girls loved the bunk beds, too.

Very clean lake house with many ammenities

The lake house is very clean and up to date. The teenagers enjoyed the kayaks, the fire pit and the game room. Rick and Stacey were great and quick to communicate with us while we were there.

Stacey and I moved to Atlanta from Washington DC since 1992 and have always wanted a lakefront home. These past 18 months of dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic allowed us to make this a priority and we finally embarked on this new adventure together. Our "almost" grown kids love coming to the house and are enjoying the relaxed lake life this provides. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This is a perfect property tucked into a small, private cove with a lakefront dock. The cove is perfect for swimming, floating and enjoying your favorite beverage. It has a large backyard for kids to play, and a fire pit to enjoy making s'mores in the evenings. Our large deck overlooks the lake and is one of our favorite spots for enjoying a cocktail before dinner as the sun sets overthe lake.
