Gaylord is an amazing vacation destination with an abundance of exciting and fun outdoor (and a few indoor) activities (especially golf!!!!): https://www.gaylordmichigan.net/events-calendar/events/ - for events happening throughout the year. https://treetops.com/ https://www.michaywe.com/ https://www.otsegoclub.com/ https://www.gaylordcountryclub.com/ https://www.loongolfresort.com/
The winter is also fun with with miles of groomed trails for snowmobiling that can take you all the way up to Mackinaw City (and all the little towns in between)!!! Otsego Resort and Treetops both offer cross country and downhill skiing and Boyne Mountain is only a 33 minute drive from the cottage. Not to mention the great sleigh rides!! This house was a perfect place for a family weekend⊠Otsego Lake is gorgeous. We were able to see beautiful sunsets every night from the property.Plenty of room in the kitchen to cook for the family⊠family room was big enough for everybody to have a place to sit when we were not out playing in the water. My grandkids (3 and 5) were able to walk safely into the water⊠Very sandy bottom. They were able to walk out quite a long distance. We had a floating lily pad, and tied it to the dock⊠The kids played on that for hours.House was very clean and had a great breeze coming off of the lake⊠The upstairs master suite is gorgeous. All of the rooms were great.
We had a great time at this rental. The home is spacious and the deckâs proximity to the house and water was great for my elderly mother with mobility issues. Thanks for a great stay!
We stayed here for our annual girls weekend. Kurt is amazing to work with. His friendly grounds/maintenance staff even stopped in to check on us..making sure we didnt need anything! The house is very easy to find, clean, stocked, and close to many attractions, shopping, and restaurants. Plenty of parking too! We would definitely stay here again.
We were really impressed with the property. The garage was full of toys to use. Kurt was great and very quick to respond. Will definitely stay here again.
Had a great weekend on the lake. House was spacious and well equipped. Only negative was that the dock was not in. Our grandsons brought all their fishing gear and were disappointed that they couldnât fish off the dock.
Host was very helpful. Home was right on the lake, we rented out a pontoon that allowed us to enjoy the weather and views of the lake. I recommend anyone looking for a home that has a beautiful views of the water.
Kurt was a fantastic host, and helped answer any questions we had almost immediately! The place has nice sized bedrooms and a beautiful back deck and pier on the lake. We rented a fishing boat from a place across the street, which I would also highly recommend.
We had a great time. Found the cottage to be exactly as we thought. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and ample water toys in the garage. Communications with the property manager was exceptional as he gave us some reco's for shopping and eating in nearby Gaylord.
Wasn't a fan of the 6 children next door visiting the Grand parents but hey, that is the risk you run when you rent a cottage in the summer. Truth be told the children were not that big of distraction.
We were one of the first visitors as a result we booked with no review...but it was perfect. Really loved the 2 person Kayak.
Wouldn't hesitate to rent the cottage again.
My family and I frequently venture up north during the summer months around the surrounding area. This is the first place we found we'd rather stay at the rental rather than trying to find things to do locally. Perfect family spot! We look forward to staying here again.
