Stunning Views from gorgeous loft on historic waterfront
The historic Corthell & Gardner building, overlooks Passamaquoddy Bay, the island of Campobello and Eastport's working waterfront. The Crow's Nest is an 1150sf loft embracing the building's history and designed for comfort and luxury. Watch for whales, loons, harbor seals and our lobster fleet from the privacy of your own deck in the United States' Easternmost City. Run down to the first floor for a craft beer from Horn Run Brewing or a glass of great wine at Phoenix Fine Wines. Perfect for artists, writers and couples looking for a romantic getaway. The Crow's Nest is a third floor loft and requires working knees and hips! The Crow's Nest can sleep four with a pullout couch but is genuinely most appropriate for singles or a couple.
Laura is an attentive host with an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Downtown Eastport, ME is a beautiful port town with quaint down east charm. This property did not disappoint with amenities and stunning views of the ocean and surrounding islands. Watching the sunrise from our deck overlooking the water was the perfect start to our day. The unit is gorgeous inside, very spacious and newly renovated. Simply amazing.
We really enjoyed the stay at this property. We met Laura at the wine store (ground level) and she was great. The view was amazing and Eastport is a happening little coastal town. Weâll be back!
Lauraâs loft is a fabulous place to stay. I went for a late winter getaway, and the loft was clean and bright and warm, with the worldâs best bathtub. Itâs right in the middle of town, close to everything. Great walks, great views, and very peaceful and quiet at the end of the day.
This property was new, clean, and gorgeous. It offered an amazing view of sunrise over the bay, complete with balcony and good coffee. Very comfortable and right in the quaint downtown of Eastport. We would go back.
Our stay at Lauraâs property was absolutely wonderful. The Crowâs Nest was lovely and beautifully appointed. Laura was the perfect host and communication was prompt. Not to mention, her wine bar on the first floor was charming! We look forward to a return trip!
What a wonderful place to stay! The Crowâs Nest is sparkling clean, and has everything you need for a terrific getaway (including a wine store and wine bar downstairs!). Laura was extremely kind and hospitable, and has really thought of everything to make her guests comfortable. One of the nicest VRBOs Iâve ever stayed in!! âïž âïž âïž âïž âïž
We were delighted with Crow's Nest on the working waterfront of Eastport. We used it as a base to venture out hiking the Bold Coast, and exploring Campobello, St. Andrews, Calais and more. Perhaps one of the greatest aspects was being able to watch the fishing boat activity each morning and evening in the basin.
After venturing out during the day, it was very special to come back and explore fantastic wines in The Phoenix wine shop and enjoy light bites all within the same building. Quiche, cheeses, olives, etc. Yum!
I strongly recommend the Crow's Nest on Eastport's working waterfront as a special place to get away. It was impeccably clean and comfortable, appointed with everything we needed.
We hope to come back soon!
Our first trip to Maine. Enjoyed the laidback vibe of Eastport. This property was beautiful and has fantastic access to the area. Really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful and comfortable apartment with exceptional views!! Location in heart of town makes for easy access to town and harbor! Could not have been more pleased! Highly recommend!
Property manager was very friendly and the Crowsnest was perfect. Great view of the harbor.
Room was clean with all of the amenities.
Looking forward to our next visit.
This property was extremely comfortable with very beautiful views of the harbor. All furnishings and appliances were top notch, would highly recommend this loft. Having the brewery and wine bar on site was a bonus. We enjoyed the Waco Diner on Taco Tuesday, delicious đ.
Lauraâs place is beautiful. As a construction/renovation person, I appreciated the great mix of old and new in addition to the plethora of amenities offered. Itâs by far the best youâll find in Eastport-clean, spacious, bright, right in the downtown mix and has wonderful views of the water across to Canada. Also, the hot water is actually hot so baths are nice and the bed is very soft. Being above her wine bar doesnât hurt (which is also lovely). As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs and they are quite steep, so if thatâs an issue for you, walk slowlyâŠitâs still worth the trip up there. The only helpful tip I can provide is that there are no blinds or curtains on any of the amazing windows, so if you need dark to sleep (like me), make sure to bring an eye pillow and youâll be just fine. That whole waking up to the sunrise thing is lost on me. If I ever returned to Eastport, Iâd make sure to do it at a time when this place is available because after staying here, I can only imagine how disappointing any other accommodation would be.
We had the most relaxing time staying in the Crow's Nest, perched above historic Eastport. The view doesn't get any better! The apartment is great -- love the open format and large, equipped kitchen. Although we miss Bocephus and Quoddy Bay Lobster, mainstays like the Happy Crab, along with the Phoenix were excellent. Recommend checking out karaoke at the new Cannery restaurant and bar on a Friday night. Can't wait to come back again!
The apartment has an amazing view and you have the benefit of walking downstairs to the lovely wine bar. We had a great time and visited with local friends. We love Eastport!
This rental is a real find. The views are great at anytime of day or night, the loft is very clean and well appointed in a sophisticated style. It is mostly a single large space that feels luxurious. Wonderful deck. Nice kitchen with quality cookware and appliances. Location is excellent, in the heart of Eastport. Lots to see and do within easy walking distance. Fun to watch the operations of the harbor from the deck.
It is a third floor walk-up so be prepared to bring your luggage up some steep stairs. Not air conditioned but we really enjoyed the cool breeze off the water. We were never uncomfortable during our mid-summer stay.
Laura is a great host, easy to communicate with and very helpful. Her wine bar downstairs is great! Check-in was very easy.
Eastport is a delightful town and we'll look forward to returning to Crow's Nest.
We LOVED every second! Everything about Eastport was memorable! Laura is a pure joy! Spend time with her⊠you wonât regret it. We met lovely people that we will treasure for a lifetime. The rental was fabulous. We canât wait to come back!
The Crowâs Nest apt is in a perfect location in downtown Eastport with a beautiful view over the water and over to Campobello Island. Laura is a gracious host who will inform you about all the wines she has available downstairs at Phoenix Fines Wines, where we also had a glass of the best wine and wonderful cheese board for a light snack and terrific view from a gorgeous sitting room.
The Crow's Nest was just what I needed! I had to work remotely during my stay but it was hardly work as I enjoyed the views. I slept so well and felt like I was at home but without the daily pressures! Located in the heart of down town it's easy to pop out to grab a bite to eat or a drink. To shop or visit galleries. I highly recommend the Crow's Nest!
