Very convenient location to Northwestern University, this apartment is clean, and the bed is very comfortable - overall as represented online. After booking, the host provided us with his website that showed the apartment in more detail with many helpful information pages on the area. There is some attractive artwork on the walls. This apartment served our needs well, thank you.
The place was nice and Greg was a very kind host. He responded quick and accommodated to my needs which was very appreciated. I would recommend staying here!
I found this location last year when I needed a place to stay for a weekend, and I liked it so much that I always plan to book here when I am in town! Greg has a great spot, always clean, and he is a fantastic host. Definitely would recommend to anyone who needs a place to stay if theyâre Chicago bound. Feels like home away from home, thanks again for everything Greg!
We enjoyed ourselves! Gregory & his wife were amazing hosts. Very friendly and attentive. The place was clean. The beds were heavenly. The coffee set up is so cute & thoughtful! The parking made us feel very secure! After a long, stressful day in the city we were happy to relax and unwind at the apartment! Not a bad drive to 6 flags either.
Great for the price, further out of Chicago for sure.
This place was what the listing showed and was wonderful! Both of my friends agreed that it was super cute! My only suggestion is more blankets for couch/futon, we did have one blanket that was cozy and soft tho. And maybe more pillows because the living room ones were small. Still overall great. I didnt wanna be in the downtown area and this was great distance for me! Quiet neighbors and neighborhood except the few ambulances that flew thruđ would most definitely stay again! Has kitchen ware and toilets if needed!
My partner and I stayed here for two weeks, and this apartment is not for older people or anyone with limited mobility because of too many stairs. There is a church in the same building as the apartment, and it is noisy on Sunday mornings for individuals who don't believe in worship. There is a daycare next door that plays children's music, and it is deafening. St. Maryâs Hospital is around the corner, and between the ambulances and fire trucks that come through the area five times a day, the noise is a bit extra. The building also needs some updates, like the front stairs, and there was no heat in the apartment, and dusting hadn't been done in a while. Otherwise, the owners were friendly, and the check-in process was easy.
Everything was good. My only issue was that I wanted to cook a frozen pizza but preheating the oven caused the smoke alarm to go off. All good otherwise.
Great place to stay if youâre ever spending some time in Chicago. Nice roomy loft, very clean and accommodating, I felt like it was my home away from home. Greg is very friendly and communicative as well. Good location on the north side of the city, not too far from anywhere you would like to visit or need to go, highly recommend to anyone that needs a place to lay their head! Next time Iâm in town I wouldnât hesitate to stay here again!
My two kids and I stayed here while my son attended a day camp at Loyola University. The apartment was very inviting and located well with a bus stop right across the street. We also had easy train access to other attractions around Chicago. Greg and his family made us feel very safe and welcome and were excellent hosts!
I was here for my some Northwestern Graduation in Evanston and this spot allowed us easy access to Evanston and downtown. We spent a lot of time exploring this neighborhood. I recommend heading toward the water and restaurants in that direction ( especially Jarvis near water). About a 20 min walk to subway or 15 min Uber to university.
Apartment was bright & clean and surprisingly quiet even though on a main road. Felt safe & secure. Comfortable & supportive bed. Close (walking) proximity to morning coffee, tasty Balkan restaurants, well-stocked grocery/market (Roger's Park Fruit Market) & Red Line train. A short ride-share to Roger's Park restaurants, shops, & bars. Pre-arrival, hosts supplied detailed & professional info regarding apartment amenities, neighborhood, check-in/out procedures, etc. Because of their preparedness, I had little reason to contact them except for an early arrival & tv access question. Greg was quick to reply via email/phone. Great place. Would definitely book again.
This place was a great place to stay and feel the real Chicago apartment living. I would say though that the stairs were a lot if you are a bit older (like me).
We stayed here for a four day concert series that was held at Grant Park. The neighborhood is quaint and clean with a short walk to the metro (loop train) Very clean and the owner checked in with us over our stay to make sure we didnât need anything! I highly recommend!
Great experience with renting this property, Greg was fantastic to work with and responsive to questions etc. this property was in a great location with easy access to Loyola. Associated secure parking was a bonus
