We were warmly greeted by Donna when we arrived late at night, and she was very accommodating and friendly, which made check-in smooth. The cabin itself is exactly as picturedâquaint, cozy, and nicely secluded.That said, there are a few things future guests should be aware of. Being in a wooded area down a trail behind the main house, the cabin naturally attracts bugs, but unfortunately the upstairs bedroom and bathroom were infested with gnats and mosquitoes, which made it uncomfortable. The upstairs ceilings were also quite low; at 5â6â and 6â0â, we found ourselves crouching in most areas except in the shower.One experience that stood out in a less positive way was an interaction with Bob. While making a quick late-night run back to the gas station for necessities, we found him waiting in the driveway with folded arms and a stern demeanor. He scolded us for going back and forth and questioned us about where we were going. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially since we werenât informed of any curfew beforehand. We also felt the golf cart provided was extremely loud and in need of maintenance, which contributed to the disturbance. If late-night comings and goings are a concern, it would be helpful for that to be clearly communicated before booking.Overall, the cabin is fairly priced for its location and offers a cozy, private atmosphere that many couples would enjoy. However, based on our experience, I would personally not stay again.
