Mountain Lake House w/ private dock, stunning views
We know you'll enjoy your stay at the Licklog Lake House on Chatuge Lake. The house is spacious enough to sleep 12+ (3,300 sqft w/ 4b/3b) and cozy enough to feel like home. Take the path down to the dock and spend your days relaxing on the water, or simply enjoy the view from the house, the patio, or the fire pit. When you're done, chill in the rec room until dinner. Launch your boat at either of the 2 nearby boat ramps and tie up at the dock
We had a wonderful anniversary celebration with our children and grandchildren. The house was very nice, and everyone loved being on the lake, and enjoyed jumping off the two story dock and using the kayaks. Having the golf cart was a blessing for my husband (87)and me (85) for assisting us in getting down to the lake and firepit.
Great location Handy golf cart Swimming from the dockGreat use of space *spiders in the downstairs beds * mattresses are extremely wornPots and pans peeling Teflon
Great location, VERY clean, well-stocked and a nice log burning fireplace were exactly what was needed for a comfortable family Thanksgiving. 10 out of 10.
We loved our short weekend with family!
It was great to detox from the horrible devastation of hurricane Helene! â€ïž (Just wish we could have stayed longer!)
Nice location. Enjoy the kayaks, water mat, dock. King size beds was nice. Games: ping pong, foosball was an extra. Grill worked with full tank of gas. Golf cart was a nice extra as well. Easy communication with the owners.
Nice area and house layout. We really enjoyed the dock and being able to use the kayaks. The porch was great for eating and just relaxing and reading. House could use a thorough deep cleaning. Some of the mattresses need to be replaced and tv in the master bedroom would not connect with Roku. Kitchen items need updating. Would definitely stay again.
Fabulous lake houseâŠ.easy access to dock. Great double decker dock for kids to jump and swim all day. Good fishing. Swim island was a big hit. Kayaks, life jackets and all accessories. Used fire pit, which was easily accessed. Overall, a great big 10. House was spacious, clean and downstairs perfect for kids and teens. Sun enclosed porch facing lake for morning coffee and huge dining table for family and games.
We love Hayesville and everything it offers. We loved the house and our time on the lake. Our favorites in the area; Julieâs Place, Nocturnal Brewery, Marloâs pizza, and Loaded Cow for all of our food needs. Boundary waters was amazing for boat rental. And Ocoee Rafting Co for white water rafting was awesome. It was a perfect family vacation.
This home was perfect for our family of 12 (6 adults and 6 grandchildren). The view of the lake from the back porch was beautiful and there was lots for the kids to do when the weather was not cooperating. Loved having three bedrooms upstairs and the kids loved sleeping in the same room downstairs. The golf cart also made it so easy for the grandparents to get to and from the dock. You should definitely rent a boat if you stay there - the lake us absolutely beautiful!
This property is well maintained and was a perfect getaway on the lake. Everyone loved swimming / jumping off the dock and the house had plenty of games to play at night. We highly recommend this place.
While we were initially impressed and excited about the location and property review, upon arrival, we were blown away that it was even more impressive in person! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely opt to stay there again!
We had an amazing family vacation at the Licklog Lake House! Brian was very responsive to any issues we had. We ran into water pressure issues, but Brian was able to quickly provide simple instructions on resolving them.
While it was raining we enjoyed the Rec Room in the basement, but we spent pretty much all of the good weather time on the dock. Our kids had never swam in a lake, but after I did a cannon ball off the top deck of the dock it was game on for the rest of the week! There are no child size life jackets, so make sure you bring your own if you are brining children.
We also had a lot of fun exploring the surrounding area. One bit of advice I would have for anyone visiting is to call every place (restaurant or attraction) that you plan to visit before you go to make sure they are actually open. We showed up at 3 different places expecting them to be open based on their posted hours only to find notes on the doors that they were closed for a few days.
Brian and Sabrina, thank you for sharing your home with us!
A group of 8 old retired guys looking to fish and play golf. The house was clean and accommodated us beautifully. We enjoyed the game room for added competition. The host were very responsive. Only draw back was that the dock did not have power. As a result we had to pull our boats out to recharge the batteries. We would rent this house again next year if they hook up power to the dock.
Lovely home, views, and decor. Hosts were very fast with communications. The space worked well for our two families. The downstairs area with bunks and games was a HUGE hit with the kids.....they were very sad to leave.
We had our annual Family Christmas trip to Lake Chatuge and could not have asked for a better place. Great house, great location, great owners that made sure we had everything we needed! Thank you for making this another memorable family vacation. Sabrina is the best!

I travel all over the world with my family, but always come back to the lake. We fell in love with Lake Chatuge and wanted to share it with others. We spent a lot of time getting the place ready for guests and we know you'll love it.
