The Pine Marten ~ Easy access to Glacier National Park
Welcome to the Pine Marten. Ditch the motel room for this cute cottage, perfect for a solo traveler or couple to unplug and explore Montana's great outdoors. Located on a quiet residential street in the beautiful small town of Hungry Horse, MT. Basic yet charming, this little cabin offers a true Montana experience. Kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, mini fridge, microwave & keurig coffee maker. Stocked with coffee, tea, and basic spices, and we also provide bear spray. Full bath and a full size bed. Small front yard with a bbq grill and fire pit. Equipped with Starlink.
Very clean and well organized space, perfect for two people. This cabin is roomier on the inside than it appears from the outside. Kitchen/dining/living space, separate bedroom and a full nice sized bathroom. The bathroom towels were so big and very soft & fluffy! Lacota was easy to communicate with for any questions. She provides a well stocked kitchenette (dishware, cooking pans/utensils, oils and spices) as well as a K cup coffee maker, K cups and teas. We also enjoyed the huckleberry taffy she provided. Parking is close to the main entrance of the cabin. Although there are other cabins and campers nearby, it was a quiet area and yet convenient to many shops in Hungry Horse and a quick 15-20 minutes to the west entrance of GNP. Great value for this little spot!
This was perfect for proximity to Glacier National Park. There were many thoughtful touches and I especially enjoyed the Huckleberry candy. Since I drove this trip, I was able to bring my own bear spray, beach chair, towels and hiking poles. But if I had flown all of those were provided at the property. The kitchen was well stocked. The shower had good water pressure and there were nice towels. I enjoyed my stay and enjoyed meeting Lacota.
Nice little place super convenient to visiting Glacier - 12 mins. to West Glacier gate. Hungry Horse is small but has a small grocery and a few stores and places to eat. House was small and quiet, very well equipped, and Lacota is very responsive.Other reviews are pretty accurate. No AC but cooled off nicely by evening even on 90 degree days. No oven, but can confirm there is WiFi and TV (earlier reviews had said it didn't have them).
Such a nice place to lay your head at the end of the day! Lacota was a wonderful and thoughtful host. The kitchen was well stocked and Lacota had kindly provided all the extras that other rentals usually do not. Definitely would come again.
The stay is very comfortable, clean, and easy to get to! The hosts provide park information, hiking poles, and bear spray in case needed for hikes in the park. Really easy to get to from the airport and an easy drive to the park. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Glacier!
This property and owner were awesome! The cabin is an adorable property perfect for us. It was very clean and had so many little extras. We had our own parking spot, chairs and table outside if we wanted and a few days we received baked goods. The owner was great to communicate with. Thank you for a great stay!
Would def stay here again. The hostess was amazing, Debbie brought us fresh cupcakes and sourdough bread. Such a wonderful person. Lakota(owner) was so quick to reply to all my texts. Easy check in and check out. Place is so clean with many necessities already there, plus even more extras suck as bear spray, robes , etc. there is WiFi that works very well, but no TV which is no problem for us, more family to
Time.
Wonderful little place to stay close to west glacier! The place was very clean and had everything we could have needed, including many extras like sunscreen, bear spray, hiking poles, etc! Loved the sourdough bread and huckleberry taffy left for us too. It was the best way to start our GNP trip after traveling from Texas!
We were very pleased with the property and even more so with the thoughtfulness of the amenities provided by the host, they thought of everything. Communication was great with prompt, helpful and friendly responses. The lodging was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this property!
This was one of the best B&B experiences Iâve ever had. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and had specific parking for each cabin renterâs vehicle, which is hard to do in the residential part of Hungry Horse.
The host literally thought of everything. Forgot toiletries or didnât know you needed bear spray? Check the medicine cabinet behind the mirror. Wanna cook dinner? You have a whole stove range, equipment and even some spices and Tupperware and a fridge for your leftovers. It was an oasis for rest and a Room of Requirement all in one. We will totally seek it out on the next trip to Glacier National Park!
The property is everything that is described in the listing. Very clean, great location and a VERY responsive property manager. When we arrived the place was spotless, there was a fresh loaf of bread on the table and huckleberry taffy. The next morning the Keurig machine wasn't working correctly and that day the owner brought a new one by and a second fan I asked about. Really NOTHING to complain about only to say it was a perfect place for my wife and I. We were there in July and it did get hot during the day (temps topped out around 90 each day) but with fans in the window each night the placed cooled off nicely. The location was great as well, close to the park, the airport and other nice towns to the west. No TV but we didn't go to such a beautiful place to do that and it now has internet so you can stay in touch with family and friends.
This is basically a tiny home that is put together really well. The only downside is that the bed could be a little more comfortable. Hungry horse seems to primarily be an rv stop, but it is very close to the west glacier entrance. I would stay here again, we had a great time.
This cabin shows a lot of craftsmanship & kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom had huge towels (& 2 bathrobes!) Lacota had very kindly supplied walking poles & a small styrofoam ice chest for our day hikes in Glacier! As we stayed a week we ended up having an issue regarding having sufficient toiletries/coffee restock. Also minor concerns about the condition of the front âyardââŠotherwise cabin was super clean & cozy, cozy, cozy with the heater & water super hot. Thank you, Lacota & Austin! Highly recommend!
good communication, cute little spot for one or two people who plan to be out and about most of the day, comfy with some thoughtful extras left by the host. only downside is the xtra challenges of communication without wifi, but we knew that coming into it. thank you Lakota!
