White Sands 23 on Sanibel Island is a beach-lovers dream come true! This direct beachfront condominium perfectly captures the textures and warmth of soft driftwood, warm sand, and blue gulf water. From the moment you enter the front door, the unique character of Sanibel Island is all around you, with the beach just steps away out your private lanai.

This two-bedroom, two-bath condominium with den manages to be both sleek and sophisticated for the modern traveler, while retaining the feel and character of Island-life on Sanibel, with wood flooring, natural island colors and light, open spaces.

The spacious floor plan offers 1,350 square feet of total living area smartly designed around the main attraction, the view of Sanibel’s beaches. The 280 square ft. lanai extends the entire width of the condo, affording view of the gulf from the living area, kitchen, lanai and master bedroom. The main living area has a wall of sliding doors affording panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico! Being so close to the beach provides so many great options for a relaxing vacation without even setting foot out your door. Simply open the sliders to welcome the sunrise and warm gulf breezes as you enjoy a morning latte’. Or wind down with a glass of wine after a day at the beach, as you immerse yourself in the relaxing sounds of the surf lapping gently at the shoreline.

The adjacent dining area is open to the views, with seating for six. The modern kitchen has a full stainless steel appliance package, large sink, and more. The kitchen is of course fully stocked with modern countertop and hand appliances, dishes, glasses, utensils and cookware designed to accommodate nearly every need, even at maximum occupancy.

The White Sands development is located on West Gulf Drive and is close to everything Sanibel has to offer. The common area showcases a heated pool, tropical landscaping, tennis and more. The beach is just a leisurely walk through the native landscaping down the boardwalk. White Sands affords access to bike paths, some of the best sunrises, sunsets, shelling, wading or swimming on the West Coast of Florida. The heart of the Island is only minutes away by car or bike, where guests can enjoy the sundry Island shopping and dining experiences.

The roomy master suite features a king bed, and the uncluttered space of wood tones and blue accents is a dream. The master bedroom delivers more panoramic views of the beach and Gulf, a large closet, and an en-suite private bathroom.

The guest bedroom is host to twin beds, and beachy, island color schemes perfect for kids or guests. The guest bath is decorated in a complimentary style to the master bath. The guest bath also has a tub for relaxing bubble baths.

And for those who need more space to work, or host additional friends & family, White Sands 23 has a “bonus” den area! This delightful space is split from the main living areas, so the kids can play or watch tv, you can work peacefully, or your guests can have some additional privacy while visiting.

Great Place for Relaxation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was as described and had a great short stay until Hurricane Ian barreled through. Luckily had the vacation insurance and also got our deposit back quickly. Everyone was very nice and I hope they are all okay after the hurricane.

Sanibel Sunrises

We enjoyed a great week in Sanibel, and a big reason was our condo location. The place was an easy bike ride to Periwinkle Way, with its stores and restaurants. But the best part was the spectacular view of the Gulf! The owners provide chairs and umbrellas in the beach closet, which was also a nice touch.

Close to the beach...complex feels a bit run down

We stayed here 1 week and the condo was in good shape. Furniture was new/baths were updated and floors appeared new as well. The kitchen/appliances/kitchenware need some updating for the price charged. A couple of appliances did not work..but it was not a big deal. The pool was clean and well-attended. The "tunnel" past the storage units was a bit dirty and run down--could use some attention. We enjoyed the wagon provided by the owners to haul our stuff to the beach. I was surprised that we were expected to strip the bed and start a load of wash with linens and towels...never had to do this before; and really did not like having to do "chores" before leaving. We left the condo in immaculate condition and our deposit was refunded in a prompt manner--which was appreciated. I think with a little TLC on the outside of this building, it could be a "A" rating. The best part was how close it was to the beach...SUPER convenient.

New Favorite Place

Beautiful, Clean and quiet. Day 3 of our stay, the water heater went out. Went to pick up family at the airport and by the time we were back, a new water heater was already installed. Less than 2 hours from when I called. Fantastic service.

Reviewer Comments: Beautiful view, nice furniture, very clean, EXCELLENT WI-FI!!!, we would not change anything EXCEPT the glass table was dangerous for our grandchildren.. rather it was wood or simply not glass. Floor picks up a lot of dirt so we had to wipe often. We needed 2 weeks or we definitely would have renewed. One thing : because the condo is directly in The center of the entire complex, you could pretty much hear every single word or whisper that we said on our patio down at the pool. But that was no big deal. Except when our grandchildren got cranky! Ha ha Ha

Wonderful location but questionable cleaning

The condo was the perfect location. An easy bike ride, walk, or very short drive to the grocery store, ice cream shop, and a handful of good restaurants. The ocean views are lovely, and the lanai balcony is very spacious. Our only complaint was the cleanliness. There was a toothbrush left in the sheets of one of the beds, making me suspect those weren't cleaned! We also had a still dirty hand towel in the master bath when we arrived. The dishwasher needs replacing, causing a handful of dishes in the cupboard to be dirty/require cleaning before use. Floors were dirty, but people probably wore shoes in the house and the floors just aren't cleaned between occupants. Everything else was wonderful, but I'd skip booking here again due to the uncertainties on what was actually cleaned before we arrived.

Steps to the beach

We enjoyed our stay at White Sands. The property was quiet, quaint and relaxing. The view from this property and convenience to the beach cannot be beat. We did have some issues with the plumbing and dryer in the unit. Some of the kitchen appliances are dated as well. However, overall, this property is lovely and it was a great week!
