Fun for the whole family - including the doggos if you don't want to leave them home.
While we cannot offer boat or other watercraft rentals for insurance liability reasons, we do have local rental options, if you are interested.
Pictures of this location indicated a sandy beach. However, when we arrived we discovered there was absolutely no beach and the lake was full of algae making it un-swim able. I understand algae bloom in MN lakes in August but was expecting a clear lake. The host claimed after check in that the lack of any sandy beach was because of high water levels this year. It would have been nice to know this prior to check in because a sandy beach was the primary reason for booking this location. The VRBO pictures of this location need to be updated. Fortunately there are several lakes with sandy beaches and clear water in the Alexandria area so we were able to salvage our vacation and have a few beach days. We would have preferred to have them at the cabin we had already spent thousands to rent. If you have a boat and want a fishing getaway this would be a fantastic location. If you want a beach/swimming vacation you should keep looking.
Check-in was effortless. Erica was accommodating and communicative with questions before/during our stay. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need (and then some)Perfect home in the heart of Lake Country with plenty to do nearby if you need a break from the solitude of lake life.
My kids and I had a great time. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything needed for our stay. The kids enjoyed catching fish from the dock, tubing, and making smores around a fire. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! - Ryan
We had a great family weekend getaway. The owner communicated easily with us for check in and check out. We had everything we needed to cook meals, fish off the dock, and relax. We will return again!
We absolutely love this property! We stayed before and brought additional family members this time to enjoy the lake and surrounding activities. Very nice newer home with lakefront access and a dock we could tie our boat up to. Also pet friendly which is a must for our fur child.
We have been friends for over 50 years. We all love water and fishing; plus this area. We golfed, fished, visited friends and visited wineries. A week of complete relaxation and fun.
Beautiful house on the lake. This was our third summer staying here and it is the perfect spot for our family. Hoping we can continue this tradition for years to come.
Good fishing, close to winery, great accommodations, Erica was very responsive with communications clean well stocked. If there is a down side it would be Sandy beach but could get to Sandy parts of lake bottom. Had a very nice family vacation
I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday getting away from the everyday hustle and bustle with some friends. This place did the trick! Surprisingly quiet even with the boat launch nearby. Great deck and patio to kick back with a glass of wine and throw tennis balls for the pups. Spacious yard to let the fur-friends run and play. Close to Alexandria if you need to ârun into townâ for anything; I highly suggest stopping in at the Copper Trail brewery and Up North Ice Cream Company! The LâEtoile Du Nord winery down the road is amazing and friendly, plus Carlos Creek is not far either! Exceptionally clean and modern, the lake home was comfortable and spacious with plenty of room for activities. If youâre debating about renting this place⊠do it!
Beautiful property inside and out. Large spacious home with beautiful view and access to the lake. Would definitely consider staying again if looking in this area.
Great place for a family getaway. Well maintained, clean and quiet location. Hosts always responded in a timely manner with any questions we had. Also checked in with us throughout our stay.
Property is beautiful! Owners were great and answered questions fast! Perfect lake for tubing and hanging out! Visited local wineries and enjoyed some relaxation!
What an amazing time we had! Erica has a beautiful home. There was so much to do for all ages. The fish were biting too! Thank you for an awesome time.....
This was the perfect VRBO for our family. The house was very spacious and roomy for the eight of us, and it was a nice quiet location. Fishing was excellent. Erica was always very prompt with communication. Would definitely stay here again.
This home was perfect for our family with plenty of space for everyone and child friendly. Lake Irene is the perfect size, not too big and not a lot of boat traffic. Good fishing and clear water. My granddaughters were able to catch keeper size sunfish off the dock. The owner Erica was very nice when we talked and made sure we had everything we needed. Being in such close proximity to the public boat ramp was definitely a bonus. We would definitely like to stay here again if the host continues to rent the property.
We used the property as a home base while our adult daughter spent the week working at Theater LâHomme Dieu. We had two dogs and a baby along and it was a perfect set up. The property is very private and the dogs loved running in the huge yard. It was perfect for our crawling baby - we appreciated the gate at the top of the stairs! The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. With a baby we also made use of the washer and dryer! We didnât use the beach as it was a bit mucky but we enjoyed nearby beaches and the pool in Parkerâs Prairie. We also didnât bring our boat this trip but my husband caught lots of sunnies and a few bass off the dock. It looks like a great boating and fishing lake - next time!! We will definitely be back! Thanks for everything Erica!
House was great big lawn to enjoy. Loved all the patio options. Would not call a swimming beach but weâre still able to paddle board fish and kayak. Friendly neighbors. Winery within walking distance. Great tasting lemon wine
