Set on a half-acre, this newer, single-level, two-bedroom home is the ideal place to spend a family vacation no matter what time of year you visit! The living area features a large, flatscreen TV mounted above a handsome gas fireplace, plus lots of comfortable furniture. You'll love watching your favorite DVDs on the TVs while the central AC and two ceiling fans keep the home nice and cool. With stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator, double wall oven, and a dishwasher, the well-equipped, full kitchen is waiting to help you prepare fantastic family meals. The kitchen also offers gorgeous morning mountain views. Serve your culinary masterpieces at the wood dining table or take them outside to enjoy al fresco.

Watch for the fog to clear and the mountain to appear in the mornings. The deck is furnished and spacious, and the kids will love romping around the yard while you fire up the private gas grill to throw a little char on some freshly caught fish from nearby Coweeta Creek. The creek also features rapids that are perfect for summertime tubing! Enjoy reclining on the hammock by the stream, and rinse off from swimming or fishing in the outdoor shower. Play a game of cornhole with the family! In the evenings, gather everyone around the firepit to share some lively conversation or enjoy some stargazing. The private washer/dryer will help keep everyone's laundry sparkling clean, so you can afford to pack light for your trip. Don't forget to use the free WiFi to research a few fun outdoor activities or download a playlist to your device. And when it's time to tuck in for the night, you'll have two spacious bedrooms to settle into including a main bedroom with a gas fireplace. Christmas Stay

The house and property were even better than expected. The last part of the drive was a little rough, but not long, so it was not an issue once we saw the house. We have family in the area and this was the perfect spot for us. I loved the view and hearing the creek every time I went outside.

Beautiful home in the mountains

We loved the location of the house , it was perfect for us 3 and had everything we needed. The creek was our 2 year old’s favorite thing although it was cold this time of year.Fall was in full effect. Will be coming back for sure.

Quick getaway

This home in the mountains was just what we needed. It was so nice to get away to somewhere so quiet for me and my fiancé to recharge from the hustle and bustle of work and life in general. The home was very clean and cozy. We were able to experience the train ride also in Bryson City. If you’re looking for a quite nice getaway I highly recommend this place. The only downfall was the master bedroom didn’t have a TV and it is hard for us to fall asleep with no tv so we ended up staying in the other bedroom.

Everything you need is here!

The creek was the main attraction! My family and I spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the sound of the water. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. The rooms were clean and everything worked great! This is a great rental, especially for older folks.

Beautiful setting

We had a wonderful time at this little cabin. It is rather a bumpy ride the last mile or so on a dirt road, but the GPS took us right to the place. The hill to get down to the creek pictured in the description is quite steep up toward the house, but still peaceful to listen to when the windows were open. The master bathtub had a ring of dirt around the top where a water line was, so I didn't want to use it. There were also fleas in the cabin, although the description says absolutely no pets. I came home with quite a few bites. Other than those few minor things, we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The home was comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were updated. The fall foliage around the cabin and in town was spectacular.

Beautiful Home

The home is beautifully furnished. We were too early in the season to make use of any of the outside amenities. The drive in the first time was a bit unnerving (narrow, worried about meeting oncoming vehicle) and locating the house at the dead end...the Vacasa symbol sign helped a lot.

Water

The water in the home quit working . We were unable take a shower, wash dishes, ect. We enjoyed everything else about the house. It’s was very enjoyable.

Great get away

We had a very nice stay. The house was located a ways off the road, however it was not as secluded as we thought when we booked. Beautiful home cozy. Had a difficult time finding instructions for fire place use.

Weekend getaway

The house was easy to find, the house is clean and the neighborhood is quiet. We did have to reach out to vacasa for some simple issues but other than that it was a good place to stay for the weekend.

Pros and Cons for this Stay

PROS - Very clean and as pictured inside the home - Well-stocked kitchen -Comfy beds , if you like Tempur Pedic. CONS -Houses and on-going construction surrounding the place. Pics are very deceiving and serve to make you think it is in a more secluded area. - “Yard” is a treacherous dirt hill covered with weeds and anthills. - Creek is so far away that it’s not really enjoyable from the house (my main reason for booking) - No cornhole game to be found , as advertised - The Christmas Decor is bit off putting in summer - Wifi is just good enough to give you some hope, but frustrate you. We had a family emergency and had to drive down the mountain to get any service because the Wi-Fi was dangerously useless. - Always either entirely too hot or too cold in the house . - Tub WAY too deep , Could not in good conscience use it, as it took over 45 minutes to fill it halfway and that was not enough to use the Jets - Not a single bathmat in the entire house. Almost slipped several times and cracked my skull open

Such a relaxing place.

This property feels like home when you walk in. The location is great. There is construction going on beside the property but the noise didn’t get too bad. The bathrooms were super clean the kitchen had some crumbs on the counters and the floor but I didn’t mind cleaning it up a bit more. All around a great place and would stay again when the weather gets warm.

Great Place to stay

The house was beautiful and the sound of the creek is lovely. There is zero cell service, our WiFi calling wouldn’t work but luckily the WiFi helped when texting. The house is located conveniently between the city of Franklin and Clayton. We really enjoyed our time here.

Great property!!

Our vacation was wonderful and property was cozy, had everything we needed and enjoyed the creek. Would recommend allowing guest to use and open screen in main bedroom to enjoy the nature sounds at night. Peaceful and quiet to enjoy a great relaxing time.

Comforts of home due to the love they put into it

Things that we loved as a family: The creek. The home. The comforting feel. They had everything we needed and more. Everything was maintained nicely. Ac was amazing but barely used it as it was very cool in mornings. The gaggle of geese that flys over every morning. Learning so much about the red McClure Mill across the creek. The property manager ‘Vacasa’ they used is by far the best company I have had to work with, they leave reflective post signs so you know you’re going the right way and you contact them anytime of day and they will answer any questions or concerns. The update con: WiFi wasn’t as strong. (Husband had to get some work in before the start of actual vacation- best spot to use WiFi is close to the locked unforbidden room- we have established Big Foot is in there watching over the home and us 😂. The yard going down and up to the creek may be steep for people with limited mobility. Also in the woods you’ll see spiders outdoors yes you are in the woods this will happen, no they were not in the home, this home is a critter free home. Paved roads going in but mostly rocked road along the rest of way. This is not to complain to just to inform future renters of what we believed what was nice to pass along. This is a beautiful property to make memories and enjoy your precious moments. They put a lot of love into this home and you can tell. This home won’t disappoint 🫶🏼

Great Week in NC

We had a great time in NC and really enjoyed our stay at Coweeta Rapids. The house had everything we needed and the location right near the creek was awesome. Definitely on the "must stay here again" list!

Great getaway

House was nice. Clean, comfy. Nice to open windows or sit on porch and hear the waters tumble over the rocks in the creek. Home is just off 441 and close to Franklin, Dillard, or Clayton. Would recommend 4wd in winter months or if expecting much rain. Road is gravel once off 441 and narrow and steep in places. Dollar general right at turn off 441 for convenience. Overall enjoyable stay!
