Sunlit cape on beautiful Bass Harbor close to Acadia National Park
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home sits on a tidal inlet just 3 miles to Southwest Harbor center and 5 miles from Seawall entrance to Acadia National Park. A private Master suite with king bed and bath is upstairs with a balcony landing outside the bedroom door where you can see across the cathedral ceilings through the glass to the ocean beyond. Two bedrooms are on the 1st floor, a queen bed in one and two twins in the other. Second bathroom on main floor has tub shower combo. Washer, dryer and dishwasher are located in the efficient kitchen area. A large outside deck with grill and dining table provide additional seating and dining space. A picnic table and Adirondak chairs are tucked away under a canopy of trees on the shore with views of bass harbor and undeveloped property across the inlet.
My family booked this home for a few days during our vacation in Acadia National Park. The home was exactly as described, and everything about the stay was perfect. The home was clean, comfortable, accommodating, and in a beautiful location. We wish we could have stayed longer!
We loved this beautiful home so much! It is just perfect for visiting the area, or staying in and relaxing. There are also grocery stores nearby with a good selection. The view is lovely and the landscaping creates a beautiful scene. Thank you for an amazing experience!
This place was an oasis of relaxation amidst our hikes, swims, bike rides within Acadia and visits to Bar Harbor. Waking up to have coffee on the deck, read by the water, watch my teens slog through the mud at low tide. Saw many deer, hawks, fireflies. House was well-equipped for cooking and grilling. We even had space to do a jigsaw puzzle together. Highly recommend.
My husband and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary. It was a beautiful and cozy stay and it allowed us to stay fairly close to Acadia/Bar Harbor. The place was clean and everything was as described. Would recommend!!
Great Stay - tucked away in the quiet part of Mount Desert Island.
Loved our stay in this location! Quiet, clean and cute property was great for our family of 4. We did a number of hikes and kayaking close to Echo Lake and Long Pond. Great location for those that don't want the crowds of Bar Harbor, but want the beauty of the Island.
This property and the location on the âQuiet Sideâ turned out to be a great choice for us. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens, dishes and cooking utensils. The property manager was very responsive to our needs. Close to Southwest Harbor for coffee/cafes/restaurants. The 20-30 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia Park was not a problem at allâŠevery route was so beautiful and scenic. We would definitely stay here again.
A quiet, quaint and relaxing place to stay with my family. The owner gave us great suggestions for local restaurants (which were fantastic) and the vibe of the town was low key and chill (especially compared to Bar Harbor). The house was very clean and cute! I already miss morning coffee from the deck!
