We had a great time celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary hiking the trails of Hocking Hills and coming back to this great cabin and soaking in the hot tub. Would highly recommend.
Perfect cabin for a weekend getaway! Location was perfect for the hiking we wanted to do. Instructions are accurate for what to bring. Roku or fire stick if you plan to watch anything. Basic channels available for watching.
Loved this property. Close drive to the caves. Reclining leather couch. New appliances. Abundance of hot water. Hot tub stayed warm even during below freezing temps. Would stay again
Had a fantastic time at this property. Unfortunately, there was construction on the road but that is out the owners hands, at night it was a dream! The property was close to the parks which was nice and you feel secluded on property even though you are not isolated.
Minor notes
+ Hot tub had dirtier water with weaker jets but it's in the woods so expected
+ Bed was a tad soft but the place was very well placed and absolutely clean / fun!
A bit misleading and confusing it said that we could have no more then 2 stay the night and we understood that but we where hopping to have family that we did the winter hike with for a small dinner did not know that was not allowed till we were there and by then it was too late. Great clean cabin. No complaints about cabin or management everything went smooth.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. It is close to several outdoor attractions.
The photos showed a drip coffee maker but upon arrival it was a Keurig. Luckily there were k-cups available until I could get to the store.
The real draw back is the hot tub water pump. It cycles on a timer to keep this flowing. However, the pumps are under the bedroom so it took a night to acclimate to them. Nothing can be done about this other than remove hot tub or drain during cooler weather
This was a very nice place, just a few critical comments I think we should mention. The bed was just a double and not that comfortable. The kitchen was lacking, only 2 coffee cups, 4 glasses (2 plastic/2 glass) and just a few plates. It also lacked some nice sharp knives for cutting up veggies, fruit, etc. I also saw a comment about it would be nice to have a lamp (vs harsh overhead lights) and table in living area.
Very nice towels, great barbeque and hot tub, we used both. Seamless check in
I want to start this with the cleanliness and coziness were excellent. But the things we noticed weren't on the reviews here were the neighbors were very noisy through the evening every evening. The appliances and machines in the basement are a bit noisy through the night as well but it may also be because we don't live in the country. But the thing that bothered us the most were the amount of rules plastered everywhere in and outside the house. It felt more like a museum house than a liveable one. The rules were very specific and some of them petty. It made some things annoying but it didn't ruin our stay. I'm just going to leave it at I want to stay in the hot tub for as long as I'd like with the temperature I'd like with the bubbles on. That's all. 4 stars simply for the overall atmosphere
Nice cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub. Cooked and relaxed around the fire pit. We would stay here again. The only negative I can think of was seeing the cabin in the rearview.
It is the perfect location very private and close to restaurants and Walmart. This is our second time staying here and we plan on going every year. The hot tub is very wonderful and very much relaxing.
Could have been cleaner. Overall a nice place to stay for our anniversary weekend. Quiet and out of the way but not too far from the attractions we wanted to visit, didn't have to interact with the hosts, very nice fire pit. But there was a bit of mold in the shower, the water in the hot tub had a yellow tint to it, and the towels smelled a bit funky. I'd consider bringing your own linens.Other things to be aware of: 1. The front door has a code lock and will relock itself automatically so make sure you take something with you to access the code if you step out.2. Property rules are very strict. There's several ways to end up with extra charges. No visitors, no dishes left out, ect.3. Amenities are bare minimum. A small bit of dish and hand soap, one trash bag, and one towel each per night.4. Shower is quite small. It has a built in seat, which is nice if needed, but significantly reduces standing space.
Location of the property is great. Very clean but overpowering smell of Pine Sol/cleaner upon entering. Had to open windows & put on fans.Cabin is nicely appointed but stark in kitchen amenities: 2 plates, 2cups, 2 salad bowls.....various sizes of each, but no lids for any of the cookware, so impossible to keep your food warm. Did not feel welcoming due to all the rule signs throughout the house. Overall, a very nice place for two!
