Large lower level unit
1 bdrm with queen bed and there is a full size pull out couch in the bedroom.
lvng room area has a queen size pull out couch.
1 full bathroom connected to the master bedroom.
Sunroom with eating area and small kitchenette ( mini fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee pot and outside grill ). Large common are with patio and outdoor seating. Walk the Indian creek trail to downtown ( 25 min ) or just a few minutes to grocery store or coffee (Dutch Bros.). Dogs ok ( must be potty trained/ max 2) and dogs are limited to the sunroom area only while inside the unit.
We have one dog on the premises but she is not allowed in the rental unit area.
We have a ring camera at the front of the home. It does not store video, it is only live feed.

Comfortable Stay in Beautiful Town

We thought the property was beautiful with fruit trees and flowers. We liked the 4th of July decorations, and the rooms were very spacious! There’s also easy access to the Indian Creek Trail where our kids found a “secret hideout” along the creek. Hood River was a wonderful town to visit with great restaurants! We were happy to have life jackets and towels available for the beach, but we wish the house had more of the kid items as shown in listing. The hosts were responsive and helpful, and we would definitely recommend this house!

I never write reviews but this property deserves as many compliments as I can give! Me, my husband, my brother, and 3 year old came into Hood River for a wedding and the hotel prices were RIDICULOUS so I searched and lucked out with this rental. The pictures did not do it any justice! So much space with a sunroom/play room that my 3 year old had a blast in! They gave scooters, bikes, toys, etc to keep your kiddo entertained and there was a window from the master into the playroom so we could keep an eye on him. The living room and master bedroom were HUGE! Plenty of room to put air mattresses for any additional guests/kids. Very clean and well stocked. The patio was our favorite part. It’s private, spacious, and had enough furniture to have our family come over for planning our day. I just cannot express how in love and pleased we were with this rental. I will be booking this property again in my future travels. Never going to a Hood River hotel over this!

Perfect for families

We loved our stay here. The property was clean, quiet, and comfortable. There were plenty of toys and activities for our toddlers. Close access to downtown and good coffee, food, and wine. Owners are super friendly and very helpful!

Great pet and kid friendly place to stay

We enjoyed the stay in Hood River. There were a lot of toys and coloring books for our daughter to play with. The place was very clean.

Great Location, Friendly Property Managers

Located within minutes of great restaurants and the main downtown area, this property had everything I needed. The friendly hosts offered some great recommendations for dinner and daytime activities - we took their advice on both and really had a blast. Although I didn't travel with pets or children, the secluded lower level had excellent accommodations for both. I can't rate my stay highly enough!

The place was great and the property owners were amazing.

The location was a 6 minute drive to downtown. The property was clean and fresh. The back yard provided a private outdoor oasis for relaxing. We talked to Alex and Jody often and they were always extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Hood River.

Great Location!!

Myself, my brother and his wife and their two daughters stayed at this property and we all very much enjoyed it! The location was excellent for all of our exploring adventures of the Columbia River Gore area and a trip to Mount Hood! The property was very clean and very tastefully decorated! For those looking for a vacation rental with a fully stocked kitchen and a totally private house this is not the property for you! The owners live on the entire upper level of this house. The part that is rented out is on the lower level of the home with a separate entrance, but you can hear the owners walking/talking, dogs barking (dogs rarely barked though) etc. etc. above you when they are home. It is not sound proof, but for the most part it was not a problem being able to hear them. I will definitely recommend this place to other family members and friends! I think it’s the perfect place for a family that has a couple of kids and/or for someone maybe single who’s not there a whole lot and does most of their eating out like at restaurants and such, because of the lack of a proper kitchen. It’s really not appropriate for making/prepping meals.

Clean, spacious place with tasteful design and a lovely patio

The little downstairs area from the house has a lovely patio area plus a hammock, outdoor furniture, and a grill. Unfortunately we didn't get to use it much because of the heat dome and the smoke. Inside the house is a well separated sun room from the huge and space living area and bedroom. The only bathroom is an ensuite bathroom so if you have more than a couple staying, you will need to coordinate the use of the bathroom. Do not expect full privacy in that regard. We kept our dog in the sun room as instructed. Just be aware that the sunroom is sparsely furnished so if your dog has separation anxiety like ours, it can be quite uncomfortable to hang with your dog. I had to sleep on the hard floor in the sunroom instead of the super comfy bed. The mini fridge is quite small although served with bottles of water, which is super nice. There is no sink in the kitchenette (going back to the ensuite bathroom) so don't plan to do much dishwashing. As long as you are aware of the limitations, it is a really nice and comfortable home. Although the hosts live upstairs, we hardly hear them. Felt like we had the place to ourselves for th emost part.

Wonderful Host's and House

We had a fantastic stay at the Edholm's. The property was very clean and comfortable and all the necessary amenities were available. The hosts were very hospitable and made sure our stay was satisfactory. They responded to communication very quickly and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying at this property!

Beautiful setting, very comfortable room

We stumbled upon such a great property for a short stay in town. The owners were so friendly but allowed privacy. The very spacious lower level had a huge room with pull out couch, very large living room with pull out couch and a spacious sunroom for hotel-like kitchenette use. The grounds were beautiful with a large patio and grassy lawn. The house is right by a walking trail and very close to town. Way nicer than a hotel room. Highly recommend this accommodation for short term stays!

Beautiful apartment in Hood River

This is a beautifully decorated space. Huge living room and bedroom, and a lovely back yard. The sunroom was a nice place for our little dog. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay!

Hidden Hood River Gem

Beautiful place to stay with a gorgeous and peaceful yard that is much bigger than it appears. Our dogs loved staying with us and the property is right next to a park walking path. The hosts were warm and pleasant to work with. Loved it.
