As the name implies, this is a tiny, utilitarian camp on False River. Just the essentials for a great stay on a beautiful lake. There is a lean in the living room, originally a porch. 1 queen and 1 bunk leave little room in the bedrooms and the roomiest part of the bath is inside the 3X3 shower. Its window units for AC and the surrounding camps have mixed levels of maintenance. Nice back porch for watching beautiful sunsets, small simple pier for fishing, 200 ft from Bueche's Bar and Grill.
I live nearby and rented the property for a hang out during the day as we have a boat. My family came from out of town with their barge. I should have checked with the owner regarding the stability of the dock. It was unstable therefore we anchored our watercrafts away from the dock.
Even with the lake being unexpectedly closed due to some tragic circumstances, our trip to this cozy little cabin made all the difference not being able to get out on the water. We had all the amenities! Enough parking for a boat and truck, a place to dock the boat and an electric bbq grill. Even two fishing poles AND tackle which replaced our boating plans in the best way. We enjoyed the bountiful fishing trip we had on the private dock while retreating the heat into the clean and very updated cabin. We were referred by Joe to try out Buecheâs bar and grill which was just a 1 min walk away yet just far enough to not hear the noise. FYI Itâs pronounced âBushesâ not âBoucherâ like the Waterboy BoucherâŠ. Lol! This place is 5 stars and we will definitely be back!
It was a nice and quiet. The cabin had everything we needed. It was nice to be right next to the lake and the fishing dock was perfect. We would definitely stay again.
No complaints here! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The property manager responded to my emsils/texts within minutes. Would definitely rent this little cabin again.
My daughter and I wanted a short getaway to do some sightseeing and shopping. We chose this cabin on the False River and were not disappointed!
While it was just a humble home on the exterior it had plenty of amenities to make up for that. It was directly on the river with a walkway to the edge and a pier leading out onto the river. Two rod and reels and assorted tackle were in the house for our use.
Inside the house was very cute with an adorable tiny fridge and stove. A comfy couch and comfortable bed were enjoyed. A fresh paint job was bright and cheery. The cabin was incredibly clean.
A porch wrapped around two sides with a table and chairs on the back.
The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans and utensils. A keurig-type coffee pot with lots of choices of coffee pods was a delight.
A tv with Amazon, Disney, Hulu etc and good internet service was enjoyed.
And St. Francisville did not disappoint us as we shopped and ate delicious food!
I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here because my boyfriend doesnât like being in the city. It was perfect!! The ONLY complaint was the small hot water heater, one cold shower for one of us. But that didnât last long đ! Wonderful place, enjoyed the River!
The camp was super clean, it has every eminently one needs.great experience
The owner was in contact anytime you need him, went well out of his way and my expectations to accommodate my family...great person and handles his business extremely well.
