My family and I took a 3 day trip down to Carmel/Monterey and really enjoyed staying at the Wisteria property. The house is beautiful, well decorated, lovely landscaping and comfortable beds. It's also a dog friendly property with a gated yard in a nice neighborhood. Quick ride to the beaches and to Monterey & Pacific Grove. There's also a hiking trail walkable distance from the house which is really nice for a morning walk or run. Our family loved it and we'd definitely consider staying again.
Everything about the property is Amazing.. Looks like a show house!
The only thing that I really didnât like was the fact we had to pick up and drop off the keys in Monterey...itâs 20 mins from the property and if you are driving from LA itâs completely out of the way...if driving from San Fran probably not a big deal...other than that itâs really cool!
Great spacious floor plan was very comfortable for our group. There was a lot of room to spread out and the rooms were all generously sized. The upper and lower outdoor areas were also very enjoyable and spacious. The corner lot size was large and offered significant privacy. The fenced in yard was wonderful for our small dog allowing her to investigate. The small ocean view in the distance was a pleasure. The details of the home appear to have been designed by an Architect in the 50's. The house was clean, well maintained and stocked with essentials. The location was great! We were able to walk to the beach near Mission Ranch and take in the sites of the unique Carmel by the Sea homes in addition to the ocean and fantastic beach. We enjoyed the area and will be back again. We are grateful and feel lucky to have been able to stay at the fabulous home on a short-term basis.
This is a lovely house about a 5 minute drive to the shops and restaurants in Carmel. The neighborhood is so quiet and the house feels very private. It is an easy drive to Pacific Grove, Monterey and Big Sur. My friend and I each took a bedroom on the upper floor. We did not want to share a bathroom so I used the bathroom down on the lower floor. The furnishings and art on the walls made you feel like you were staying in the Carmel getaway of your friend who is an art collector. We arrived when it was very hot by Carmel standards, highs in the upper seventies. We did have to open the windows and get fans going throughout the house to feel comfortable. There is no AC in the house, but I think it would be unusual to need it. I would definitely stay here again.
