This newly refinished space is a great place to spend time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views after a fun day of exploring the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument. A King size bed, sofa with pullout bed, tv, dining table and wifi make this studio style home a cozy place to stay on your journey along Highway 12. The small kitchen and kitchen supplies allow for preparing simple meals. The back patio has a bbq grill, dining set, and propane fire pit for enjoyable evenings outdoors.

Calf Creek Cottage in Escalante, UT

Nice accommodation just as pictured and described. Spacious and perfect for two people. Well stocked kitchen was adequate for making simple meals. Parking is convenient for loading/unloading the car and the property location was great for trips to trailheads within Grand Staircase Escalante. We also took day trips to Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks. Host was good with communication and responsive to our questions.

Perfect Home for visiting Utah NPs & National Monuments

The home was perfect for our 3-night stay. The pictures of the home are spot on to what we experienced. Very clean home with comfortable bed and needed kitchen appliances.

Lovely stay in cozy cottage

Overall ok

The inside was very clean, but the outside needs some help. Torn siding by the front window needs to be fixed and the door could use some paint. Please leave extra toiletpaper. We had only a few sheets left and Escalante doesn’t have any stores open on a Sunday.

Perfect location in Escalante

This place has all the conveniences you need on vacation. It is located in Escalante proper. I stayed a somewhat after the season but there is plenty of hiking. It was a little cold for me being from Florida. But I was very comfortable and the kitchen was a perfect size. Bed was particularly comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. I had no need to communicate with property manager so I didn't know how to rate.

Schönes kleines Haus mit toller Aussicht

Schönes Haus mit sehr guter Ausstattung! Bequemes Doppelbett Die Schlafcouch ist etwas schmal, für zwei erwachsene Teenager schwierig, für jüngere Kinder kein Problem.

Great stay

Nice little house, was very clean and comfortable. The appliances looks new and the bedding was soft. Shower was spectacular after a day of hiking. View out of the front was beautiful the backyard lacked privacy or this review would have been a 5 star.

Better inside than outside

Wasn’t much to look at from the outside, but inside was all brand new, clean and comfortable. Bed was good. Backyard patio. Close to town and not too far from Devil’s Garden, 12 miles down unpaved road), which is incredible.

Loved the place! Very clean and all amenities you could need! Really enjoyed the area although we were there for a short stay. Must do’s are North Creek Grille and Diva coffee. Seems to be a lot of local pride in Escalante.

Perfect for our needs

Property was spotless with lots of light and felt very fresh. We all thought it was the best shower we have had on our 5 week road trip!The outdoor patio suited is perfectly for dinner. Communication with the host was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay.

Nice and roomy

It was a little hard to find as the actual house number is not the same as the address - something about a mixup that the city/county can't fix. We didn't see the extra instructions on the house number until we had pulled over and gone thru the email communications with the owner again. Maybe having that info listed at the beginning would be more helpful in being able to more quickly find the house. The house was spacious with a king bed and a full size couch. The bathroom/shower/laundry is a little quirky/fun with a sink and toilet in one room and the shower and washer/dryer in another room, but it worked, and both rooms have plenty of space. The washer has a very large tub if you need to do a large load all at once! [Bring your own laundry detergent]. There isn't anywhere to hang clothes - no rod or hangers, so we got a little creative in that area. In the kitchen area, there is a full sized fridge, a cook top, (no oven), a micro/convection oven? and a quiet dishwasher. We appreciated the clean house in a quiet neighborhood that wasn't crowded! Thank you for having this available!

Perfect place to lay our heads after a long day

We used this property for a home base to explore the Escalante area for a couple of days. It was as listed and the host was very responsive. Check out Devil's Garden if you have time. Amazing place!

This was a wonderful place to stay to explore Capitol Reef, Bryce and the Grand Staircase area. So clean....perfect layout. Lots of room. New. Well stocked. Comfortable. Couldn't ask for more! Would recommend!!

Cute and well outfitted

The place is exactly as advertised. It is nicely updated with modern appliances including induction cook top and washer/dryer. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed with small appliances and implements to perform actual cooking, including having decent knives. It is an entire stand-alone albeit small house. There are no dedicated bedrooms. The fold out couch bed has a newer mattress that is far more comfortable than what you expect. This is a great value, location, and enjoyable place to stay in Escalante, Utah! We would stay there again.

nice cottage!

Escalante is a great home base for area hiking/exploring. The town's grocery store, ice cream shop, and the Grand Staircase Escalante visitors center were much appreciated. Calf Creek Cottage is SPARKLING clean and has sweet thoughtful details. The set up is a single room (very capable kitchenette, king sized bed, pull-out couch, 4 person dining table) with two separate rooms off the side for bathroom and laundry. There is a nice back patio with a gorgeous view of the sunset. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Location for National Parks Visiting

We really appreciated everything about this cottage. The appliances are all high quality and we loved being able to do laundry in the middle of our vacation. The microwave/convection oven is a clever use of space and the stove top worked beautifully. After some interesting VRBO experiences with beds and showers, I will comment that both are excellent in this cottage. The location between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks could not have been more ideal for our needs. We highly recommend this cottage!

Escalante Stay

My friends and I had a short stay while passing through Escalante to explore the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, but we enjoyed the property and town of Escalante, nonetheless. The residence was clean, and the bed and couch were comfortable and allowed us much needed rest.

Great Base for Exploring

We appreciated this home as a place to explore the area from (centrally located to so many things to explore). Having laundry facilities was great (we’d been hiking and exploring for extended period, clean laundry was wonderful). Our stay was very comfortable.

My husband and I were very happy with this little house. Our stay was very comfortable. The house had everything we needed to make meals. The only challenge was getting the tv to work. I would highly recommend this place. Perfect for two but could sleep 4 people without a problem.
