Sweet Home Alabama just got a little sweeter! This adorable beach cottage features a great floorplan paired with an ideal location. Recently renovated with fresh new paint and updated furnishings and decor. On the first level you'll find an open concept living, dining and full kitchen. You'll also find a soothing, queen bedroom with a full bath.

Located on a quiet cul de sac, this home is perfectly situated between one of the two neighborhood pools and one of the several beach access boardwalks. Both the beach and the pool are an easy stroll away. Morgantown is a very walkable neighborhood and you'll enjoy morning or evening strolls taking in the great views and pastel-colored homes. If you are so inclined, head to Sassy Bass, about one mile away, to grab lunch or pick up an item or two from the market. Two neighborhood pools, a kiddie pool, and tennis courts are available for guest use. The beach-view balcony provides the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of fun. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of the surf as you reflect on your day. Sweet Home Alabama is also a great vantage point if you happen to be there during a Blue Angels practice! Upstairs are three additional bedrooms, a king bedroom with a private bath, a room with two twin beds, and a bunk room with twin/full and twin/full beds. You'll love the new bedding and the fresh clean look of the bedrooms and you will appreciate the new owners' eye for design. A convenient full bath is also located on this level.

Morgantown is a picturesque beachside community with colorful private homes, two sparkling swimming pools, lighted tennis courts, and several convenient beach access boardwalks. You'll love strolling the quiet streets or biking about the neighborhood.

Great Location

The house is in an awesome location for the pool, and the public beach access! The kitchen has just about anything and everything you could need to cook. I especially loved having the toaster oven. Made for easy, quick lunches. Beds were comfy too.

Enjoyable

Second time visiting, the house is always very clean which I appreciate, and the property manager is really helpful and quick if there’s something that needs attention so I really appreciate that. The location is great, we rent a golf cart for easy quick trips to the beach and back with kids which I highly recommend but it’s definitely walkable.

Amazing location, clean interior. fully stocked kitchen, furniture was adequate. quiet, secluded area which is exactly what we wanted. 3 minute walk to the beach. cant say enough good things about this property. Will stay here again without a doubt.

Wonderful week on the beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at "Sweet Home Alabama" through Relax on the Beach. The house was beautiful with plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids. While not beachfront, it is definitely a short, manageable walk. We had zero problems walking it with 2 5 year olds and a 6 year old. The pool was a nice change of pace and literally just steps from the house.

Sweet Home Alabama really was a home away from home for us

Sweet Home Alabama was the perfect place for our family and two dogs. The house was in great condition perfect distance to the beach you could not see the beach from the house but you could hear it and its literally about a 3 min walk. Close to the pools as well. This was probably our favorite rental home we have stayed at in the last 4 years. The house was clean and we got in late our first night so we just ran out to get some food for dinner as the house already had the basic essentials to get you through the first night which was great for us so we didn't have to drive back into town until the next day. Wonderful home will book again next year,

Great location

This house is in a quiet neighborhood 20 min west of the main road that takes you into Gulf Shores. There is a great restaurant and market less than a mile away, so there is never any real need to go ”in to town.” We had a problem with the wifi when we arrived and management was very responsive and had it quickly sorted out. That is not always the case with these rentals, so I really appreciated that. The only drawback is that the furniture is run down. Stains on the couch, one of the ottomans on the screened-in porch is missing a leg, that sort of thing. It would also have been nice to have a decent broom or vacuum to help with the sand accumulation. There is a broom but, like the furniture, has seen better days. Our overall experience was great though, and I would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice place but needs some work. Refrigerator door wouldnt seal properly and never keep our food cold. Dryer squeals really loud and the pantry it was in heated the room up. All exterior doors we're sticking and hard to open, screen door on the outside would not even open. Railings on the porch were loose and were a safety hazard for our kids. Air conditioner didn't keep cool downstairs but stayed cold upstairs. Property was in a great location, quick walk to the beach and pool. Ocean could be heard from the house. These few problems listed are easley fixed and if this issues weren't there we would have given all 5's it really is a great place.

Great quiet escape

We loved this house! Plenty of room for our family of 4 and another family of 4. Easy access to the beach and pool, tennis courts are an added bonus! We’ll stocked kitchen and very clean.

Perfect Family Meeting Place

The space allowed for plenty of interaction plus some places to hide away…such as the porches. Beautifully decorated. So calming and restful. Definitely would recommend it. The host was helpful in recommending local restaurants. And, the beaches are gorgeous!!

Great for large families

We loved how roomy this house was. All the bedrooms except the master were small, but the kitchen/dining/entertainment rooms were just the right size. Seeing as we only spent time sleeping in the bedrooms, it didn’t bother us too much that they were small. The only issue we had was how far the house was from stores and restaurants. If you are the type to buy groceries then just cook on your vacation this place is for you.

Well supplied home, close to pool & beach

We have stayed in Morgantown for years and this is by far our favorite stay! Upon entering the home you could smell the cleanness, each bathroom is fully stocked with linen, soap, face wash and the essentials. The kitchen is fully stocked with all needed items including dish liquid, detergent, coffee pots, blender, ect. We also enjoyed that each room has nightlights esp for the little ones. The rooms are fully stocked with pillows and blankets. It was a pleasant surprise to not want for anything during our stay! The house is beautifully decorated and spacious located close to the pools and the beach is within walking distance. Very quiet neighborhood, beaches were not packed and saw a lot of sand/sea life! I would def recommend this home!

Overall great stay

The house was great overall. Very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Loved that the back porch was screened in. Walk to the beach and pool wasn’t bad. As previously mentioned in past reviews, the wi-fi connection was a problem. It would never let us actually connect to the server. Cell service overall was terrible, we had a hard time even getting enough of a connection for to check the weather. While it is nice to “disconnect” from the real world sometimes, real life does require our attention at times (such a work emails). Hot water was also an issue, even when trying to space out our showers. Despite these issues, we still had a good time and enjoyed our family vacation

Fun Surprises

We really enjoyed our stay at your beach home. We were surprised by a gas grill and bag of charcoal upon our arrival. We also really enjoyed the large outdoor storage bin with chairs, umbrella, and beach toys. Those are things we weren't able to bring so it was nice to have access to them from the owners. The updated decor was lovely. The bedding, towels, and furniture were all very clean and well maintained. The balconies and rocking chairs were very nice and comfortable. Our kids loved the screened in porch. Pool access (both pools) and beach was nice and within a couple minutes walking distance. The internet was fine for our needs. The freezer was very small, but we made it work. There isn't any pantry space, but we made use of the counters. There were many nice touches like travel size toiletries, washing powder, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, soap, spices, coffee pods, games, and books. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would return! Thank you!

Great house, neighborhood and location

Great neighborhood. Clean and well kept. Short walk to the beach. My boys brought their bikes and enjoyed riding them to the beach. House is newly remodeled and has everything you’ll need. On quieter Ft Morgan side, but with restaurants close by and easy drive to orange beach/gulf shores. Beach at Morgantown is great and dog friendly!
