Come find your happy place at the ‘Stargazer Hideaway'. Stargazing at its best. The name says it all! This area has something for everyone and even a few furry friends.

Nestled on 1.2 acres, this brand-new (2021) mountain getaway is perfect for those who are looking for mountain adventures without sacrificing luxury.

Enjoy this stunning new home's panoramic mountain views, take a sunrise walk, enjoy a beverage on the patio, host a barbecue around the fire pit, play a game of corn hole, hike the Appalachian trail, explore the waterfalls, ride the rapids, grab a horseback ride, shop to your heart's content, or relax with a good book.

This well-appointed vacation rental boasts 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and spacious family room. Did we mention beautiful mountain views from every window?

Many of our guests have said they would be happy to spend the day on the cozy sectional looking out at the beautiful scenery from the full length windows in the family room.

An adundance of lighting and kitchen comforts will delight any home chef. A large island is great for preparing wonderful meals and entertaining family and friends. A coffee station provides a traditional coffee maker, a single serve Keurig and a foam frother for the most sophisticated barista.

The open floor plan allows for plenty of room for all to enjoy. Plenty of board games and cards for all ages to play. The 60-inch Roku TV has many entertainment options including Netflix and a dvd player should you wish to bring some of your video collection.

Don't forget to pickup some frewood for the firepit. With adirondack seating for five to enjoy you will want to spend some of your time here. Can you taste the smores and hear the crackle of the fire already?

Up to two well-behaved fur children will love the fenced in backyard and easy access with the well placed doggie door (with pre-approval and non-refundable pet fee).

After a long day of enjoying all that the area has to offer, relax and slumber in the most comfortable beds and linens that complete each bedroom. There are two bedrooms fit for a King with ensuite bathrooms and one bedroom fit for a Queen with an ensuite bathroom as well. Your prince and princesses will enjoy the loft area with daybed and pull out twin mattresses. The master suite is located on the first floor with two single sinks and a large, beautiful walk-in shower. The remaining full baths offer a shower/tub combo. All bathrooms have plenty of fluffy towels for you and your guests. An additional half bath is also located on the first floor.

A two-car attached garage will protect your vehicles from the elements. There are also 2 more available parking spots that are not covered for a total of 4 parking spaces.

Stargazer Hideaway is easy to get to and less than 5 miles from shopping, and dining in downtown Clayton, Moonrise Distillery, Goats on the Roof and such conveniences as Walmart and Ingles grocery.

Less than 15 minutes from hiking and exploring BlackRock Mountain, Tallulah Falls, Southeastern Expeditions white water rafting, Stonewall Creek and 12 Spies wineries. Horseback riding at the Dillard Stables is a quick 20 minute drive.

A short 30 minute drive and you and your guests can enjoy snow tubing at Highlands Outpost or zipline at Highlands Aerial Park.

Fun Girls' Trip

Stargazer Hideaway is the perfect place to get away!! This is our 3rd stay for our annual girls' trip. It has an open floor plan with a lot of room in the kitchen and den areas to gather. The kitchen is very well-stocked to make and serve meals. Everything is well labeled which keeps things neat and organized. There are even extras like coffees and creamers available. With each bedroom having its own bathroom, there is plenty of space to get ready without crowding. The house is very clean and everything is in good condition. There is a notebook provided with helpful information about any questions that might arise. It also includes recommendations of nearby restaurants and activities. There is a selection of games available to play. We also noticed a corn hole game for outside fun. (Maybe next time! ) Cherylen is an excellent host. She goes above and beyond to make sure that your experience is positive! We can't wait to book again. We are even thinking of two trips a year because we love it so much!

Great weekend getaway!!

Beautiful views, immaculate house, great location!

Stargazer Hideaway was the perfect spot for a getaway. The house is extremely clean, the view from the family room windows is beautiful, the location is close to falls, wineries, restaurants, apple orchard, rafting and lots more. Don’t miss Southeastern Adventures rafting trip or The Edge Cafe and Bar at Tallulah Adventures. It’s a great outdoor cafe with good food, drinks and rock climbing wall, corn hole and other activities. The 2 bedrooms upstairs have their own bathrooms as well as the en-suite master downstairs. We enjoyed the grill and fire pit area in the evenings. The small fenced in area in back was perfect for our dog to run freely and the doggie door inside the house makes it a breeze to let your dog out if you want to stay in! The communication with the owner is easy and immediate if needed. She honestly has thought of everything and is so welcoming and accommodating! We highly recommend booking a stay and hope to be back soon!

Like staying at a friends’ place

We were not your typical guests at Stargazer Hideaway, as I and my bosses were in town for business, but from the moment we arrived, it was like you dropped in at a friend’s house for a visit. Since I expected it to be a stressful week with our trial, I wanted somewhere that would be relaxing in the evenings (especially since I knew we’d have late nights preparing for the next day). This was perfect. The house provided plenty of work space for us to spread out and a wonderfully cozy home away from our ‘home base’. Sitting on the covered patio listening to the mountain ‘music’ was the perfect way to end the day. Cherylen was a fantastic host and very responsive when we had questions.

Fantastic Retreat

Stayed at Stargazer Hideaway for a couple nights. The house was very clean, organized, and exactly as described. The fenced yard was a great space to take our dog off his leash, and the neighborhood road was a nice loop for leashed walks. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Clayton area.

Great weekend stay!

The home was extremely clean, very organized and beautiful. It was a wonderful place to stay at night while my son had wedding festivities going on at Chota Falls. If I ever find myself in Clayton Georgia again, I would definitely stay there.

Perfect getaway

My family of 6 plus two goldendoodles had the best time! We explored Clayton, Highlands, Lake Burton and Bryson. The location is absolutely perfect. So much to see and do we could have stayed longer! Perfect fenced in yard for our doggies. We went white water rafting, zip lining, lake day, hiking, and ate so much good food! The house is so clean and has everything you need. Every night we made s’mores at the fire pit. It was a dream. The host are very responsive to any questions we had. We’ll be back for sure!

Our second great visit

This cabin is so special. Such privacy and serenity - it makes you feel that there is no one around for miles, but in reality, there are houses relatively close by. You just can't see any other houses and they can't see you. The owners are the most delightful, helpful, responsive people, the house is so well equipped, the couch and the beds are so comfortable, and everything is so clean. Everything is labeled so there is no guess-work. We were here last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back again. Lots to see and do in the area.

A Gem in the Clayton area to relax and enjoy the outdoors!

My husband and I spent a week at Stargazer Hideaway with our 3 dogs. The home is fabulous! It was very tastefully decorated and super clean. It felt as if we were staying in a recently built home. The furnishings were oh so comfy! We loved the layout of the house, particularly the kitchen and adjoining living room and dining space. The kitchen was stocked well with what we needed to prepare our own meals. The tap water was pleasantly drinkable, which is not the case with the majority homes we have rented in Georgia. Views of the woods were fantastic. The yard and fenced in dog area worked well for us and our pups. It's nice having a decent sized flat area for the dogs to play, as it's rare to have that much space in the mountains. The fire pit area and porch were great spots to relax and unwind after a day spent hiking. The location is great, as the home is very close to downtown Clayton and many hiking trails. It was very pleasant walking around the neighborhood with our dogs in the morning. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a getaway in the North Georgia mountains.

Amazing!!

Don't sleep on this hideaway! This house exceeded our expectations. It's absolutely gorgeous and so inviting. You have everything you would every need and the attention to detail didn't go unnoticed. Cherylen was so helpful with any questions we had and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home. This is now our go-to place to go when we want a mountain getaway. Can't wait to stay here again in the near future.

Our stay at the Stargazer hideaway

A great vacation home! We travel often and have experienced many cabins, the stargazer is at the top of the list. We are picky about where we stay. This home was awesome! It was super clean, everything was top of the line, the beds, appliances, furniture and more. It's in a safe area and perfectly located for all the local hikes,waterfalls and more The hosts, the Maiers are very welcoming and they are available to help if any problems were to arise (which didnt). We highly recommend the Stargazer hideaway... it would be hard to beat!

The most luxurious cabin in the mountains

This is the coziest mountain retreat you'll find. It feels like staying at a good friend's home in the hills, all the more so with super awesome hosts like Cherlyne and Chris. The home is spectacular, picture perfect, I had so many friends reach out to me and ask where I was this weekend as this home is beautiful inside and out. When you walk into the home you have a Christmas tree set up along with a picture of your fur baby by the kitchen and instructions on everything in the home.. kitchen items, towels, garage items. The communication we received prior to our stay, during our stay and after our stay was phenomenal. I cannot wait to come back. We would walk in the mountain early morning and it was very private, we experienced the sunrise and sunset and there is an outside fireplace and grill that is part of the property. I honestly cannot stop raving about this property. Highly recommended 50/50

Family memories!

Stargazer Hideway was the perfect house to celebrate Thanksgiving and my husband’s 70th birthday. The kitchen was fully equipped with appliances and cookware, utensils, dishes etc. Also we appreciated that the shelves were labeled so we could put everything back in its place. The family room area was so cozy and we loved the big couch! Perfect to sit and look at the Christmas tree and the mountains. All the bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The master bathroom was awesome, with a great shower. Cherylen was always easy to get hold of before and during our stay! We would definitely love to visit again soon.

Better than the pictures

Stargazer met our every expectation. If you love the photos you will not be disappointed. Most rentals fall short of their posted pictures but Stargazer surpassed the pictures. Perfect location for attending a wedding at Chota Falls. Dog friendly. Very organized. Great location. Hope to be back again.

Fabulous New Mtn Home Pet & Child Friendly

Looking for a pet friendly mountain home that’s clean, well appointed, luxury details, new and welcomes your pup, book this home now! This is a true gem nestled among trees with a gorgeous view and privacy. The home is secluded but only a short drive to waterfalls, stores, restaurants and hikes. The primary suite on the main level we found ideal as we had 3 generations staying there for a wedding at Chota Falls just 6 mins away. Everyone raved about how comfortable the beds were with luxury linens. The place was spotless and smelled very nice too! The home is so well organized and stocked. We loved all the details for making the pups stay ideal. The alarm system was nice with being secluded. We found the host to be amazing and very responsive. We will be back! Fabulous find!!

Fantastic House

This is a well designed and beautifully furnished home that we all hated to leave. Lots of privacy for three couples, wonderful outdoor sitting areas, good proximity to Clayton shops and restaurants, but far enough away to insure solitude. We all decided to return to this house on our next mountain trip. The owner could not have been more accommodating to our group, always available to answer questions.

We booked this lovely retreat with another couple for the holiday weekend. The home has a great location and was easy to find. Home was nice and clean, lots if natural light and everything was provided as stated. Owner was so helpful and attentive and we all had a wonderful time with our dogs. There is a fenced dog run in back and home has a dog door. Highly recommend the home in Clayton for a weekend getaway or a base camp to all attractions in North Georgia. Thank you for making it comfortable for us!!🌺

Put this spot on your list for outdoor adventure in a serene setting

This property is conveniently located 15 minutes away from the Chattooga River, hidden gem mountain bike trails, waterfalls, Tallulah Gorge State Park, Goats on the Roof (look it up) and Clayton GA. The property is BEAUTIFUL and well stocked for a mid sized group. Wineries, farm to table restaurants, lakes with boat rentals, a variety of neighboring communities, all with their own identities, combine for endless possibilities to make memories with friends and family. The host communicates very well with the guests and has maintained the property very well. My favorite touches included the large windows in the great room with a spectacular view, the coffee bar with all the amenities, and the plush, comfortable king size bed in the master bedroom. The host is very dog friendly with accommodations for them including waste bags, a doggie door to a fenced area, and a photo board of the previous four legged guests. It was so neat seeing our furry friend prominently displayed on their board.

This home has beautiful mountain views from all of its windows. When it rains a dense fog sets in and looks really spectacular from anywhere on the property. It is so quiet and peaceful, yet close to all kinds of activities, places to eat and things to do. You can truly escape the hustle and bustle when you arrive here.

You will love waking up and seeing the sunrise and mountain views from any bedroom window in this home. The grass in the front yard is so green it almost doesn't look real.

The firepit is a great area to gather with friends and family. You can also barbeque on the park style charcoal grill located in the firepit area. The front porch has plenty of room for a few people and some tasty libations as well as warm outdoor lighting when the sun goes down. The water for the home is supplied by a freshwater well. Within 15 minutes of the property you can find local distilleries, wineries, hiking, biking, tubing, dining and shopping.
