Great stay here! The place was exactly as advertised, and very clean. Check in and check out went seamlessly. Perfect for our two couple trip. Would definitely stay here again!
Enjoyed our stay. Had some trouble with the door lock. We also found that we had only one exit from the home we stayed in which seemed unsafe in the event of a. Emergency.
Location was great, just outside the park. The interior was stunning, as pictured, and comfortable. Amazing view of the waterway and alligators floating by. Very good communication with the owners. Thank you!
This place is very nice and the view is spectacular. We saw tons of wildlife from inside the house. It was truly a great experience and a great place to stay for those wanting to visit Everglades City.
We spent three nights at Cypress Cottage and had a great time.
The property itself is super clean, modern and has all we needed for our short stay with an excellent location and awesome views onto Everglades (great to see wildlife from the windows and deck).
Location was good for local activities but bear in mind there is no âproperâ supermarket for 30 mins so come stocked!
Loved our stay would highly recommend
We loved the Cypress Cottage. It was super clean and even prettier than the pictures. It was a great home base for exploring the area. We loved walking down the street for dinner at the Camellia Street Grill and we also really enjoyed the nearby National Parks boat tour of the Ten Thousand Islands.
The house was immaculate and wonderfully stocked for every possible need or want. The owner was very helpful and the dock and water view are spectacular and it is very convenient to everything. Couldnât ask for a nicer rental. Highly recommended!
Our week long stay at Cypress Cottage was perfect . The cottage was spacious and so comfortable. We loved the panoramic window which was perfect for wildlife spotting . The kitchen was well stocked and the washing machine and tumble dryer very easy to use. The location is excellent with easy access to lots of activities . Fantastic Stay!
We had a wonderful stay. This home is modern, clean, and has a wonderful view of the water. The layout is very spacious and open, and the bedrooms are on either side of the common area. It was a perfect home base while we explored the Western side of Everglades NP and Big Cypress NWR.
This is our second stay at the "Cypress Cottage" and we love it. Location is fantastic, the house is amazing, the host is great. We can't say enough good things about the community. This is a Florida hidden gem. Our favorite part is bringing fresh caught fish to any of the local restaurants, having them cook it fresh and having a cold drink. 10 out of 10.
I beautiful home overlooking a river and the edge of the Everglades. My family loved starting the day having breakfast gazing out the picture windows and the fish jumping in the water. The home has everything we needed to be comfortable and is located in a beautiful small town where we could easily grab food from a restaurant or groceries. We couldnât have picked a better place to stay for our visit to the Everglades.
As soon as we entered the house our grandson said âThis is a 5 Star for sure.â We loved this house. The wall of windows on the back of the house overlooking the River and dock/deck below was great. So much light and beautifully updated. We wished we were staying longer.
Extremely impressed with the house, cleanliness and communication with the manager. This will be where we stay for our annual trip. Would recommend 100%. If any improvements could be made, I would say increased water pressure in the shower. Thanks again!
We had a really great holiday weekend. The house looks exactly as pictured. The window in the great room is the highlight. The communication and checkin was a breeze. The house had everything that we needed. It was clean and comfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We have already recommended the house to some friends and we will be back for sure.
You can tell how lovingly and stylistically Cypress Cottage was designed and built. From the modern yet rustic charm of the outside to the way the water's reflection cascades across the living room and kitchen ceilings during the morning hours, you can how much thoughtful detail went into this home. Modern amenities such as Nest thermostat, smart TV's and digital door lock made us (a family that works in tech) feel at ease. The home was spotless and shout out to the local housekeeper for not only maintaining the home's cleanliness but saving us from desperation when we locked ourselves out the house (and the passcode to get back in was on our phone, inside of the home).
Perfect for fishing and relaxing on the dock. We were able to dock a 22 ft boat there but be warned that you want to wait until the tide comes in after 10am before shoving off. Pay no attention to complaints about water pressure. South Florida is notoriously bad with water pressure. Yes, this home is located on a main road, but it is NOT a busy one. There is literally one road in and one road out of this town of 380 people. No stores for 25 miles so either stop before arriving (before jumping on the 41 in Miami) or drive north to Naples (easy drive but it will still take you 20 minutes to get there). Don't count on the good food reviews for local eateries. Dining out in Everglades City is not worth the $$$$ or gastrointestinal aftermath.
House was great, except for the inability to adjust the air conditioning/ climate control which was locked in and could only be controlled by the host, remotely. The owner did send instructions to try changing yhe thermostat locally, but it would not respond, just show that it was locked in.
House: Everything was pretty new, appliances and supplies were all good. The only problem with the rental was the location which was on the main road through the town and on the way to the next town. The house is about 50-75 yards from a Circle-k, which is great for food and gas, but really noisy at night. Was woken up several times throughout the night by cars stopping, blasting music, even supply trucks as early as 6am.
House had a dock for my boat which was great, 28' boat with a 16" draft. Tide varies greatly (4-5'), so tie up accordingly
Everglades City is an "island" town surrounded by National & State parks. No better place to enjoy the storied Everglades whether by boat or foot; all from the heart of this true old Florida town.
The House is located on a canal which provides great access to the inshore backcountry or to the Gulf Ocean waters. Two boat ramps are located within 5 minutes of the home.
