The Pearl at Cane Bay offers ultimate luxury, a private pool and amazing privacy for 2 literally hanging over the rocky shore of the Caribbean Sea. There is no comparison to staying in a private home on the Sea with no owners, guests or others around. Just you and the water. (And some Cruzan rum)

With clean and modern lines, a magnificent oceanfront location and unparalleled attention to detail built in 2016, the Pearl at Cane Bay provides a truly luxurious private experience on St. Croix.

The Pearl is located on a dramatic bluff with wonderful views of The Caribbean Sea, Hamm's Bluff and Cane Bay. We offer use of the main and lower floors for your enjoyment providing guests the utmost in privacy for two. While the upper floor is not available for rental (owner’s space—EMPTY DURING RENTALS—it’s just you!). The home has a beautiful private oceanfront location and is just a short stroll from the beaches, diving, restaurants and bars at Cane Bay. You can also grab groceries (15 minutes away) and just enjoy the view while preparing meals in our beautiful fully equipped kitchen.

This new, finely detailed neo-Mediterranean style home includes features and amenities including travertine flooring, French terra cotta roof tiles, antique brick patios, coral stone pool deck, a cook's kitchen with marble counters and professional appliances, beautiful bathroom with premium nickel faucets and spacious travertine showers, central air conditioning, and a sumptuously furnished king master on the lower level.

The Pearl is gated for total privacy. Park on the street and enter the property on the main level and enter into the great room which contains the living area, and the kitchen. Screened sliding glass doors from the living area open to a spacious antique brick covered patio with views of the pool and the crashing surf featuring the outdoor dining table. Another set of sliders opens onto the coral stone pool patio and there is a separate powder room adjacent to the pool. Comfortable lounge furniture overlooks the pool and the view from the pool really has to be seen to be believed. The living area features a beautiful décor. There is a Samsung smart tv for your enjoyment.

The spacious king suite is located on the first (lower) floor and is accessed by an interior travertine stairway. This room has our favorite view as it it low enough to see and hear the waves hitting the rocks and the amazing turquoise Caribbean Sea. The custom en-suite bath is light and bright and features a large shower. The suite offers a comfortable king bed/mattress and cotton sheets and towels. The spacious covered antique brick patio features comfortable lounge furniture for relaxing and enjoying the incredible views. There is a Samsung smart TV for your streaming pleasure. The laundry facilities are also conveniently located in this lower level bedroom.

The Pearl: A True Gem

This was our second stay at The Pearl and it did not disappoint! The property is beautifully decorated and just perfect for 2 people. Views from the balconies are truly spectacular. We went to sleep each evening lulled by the sound of waves just outside our door. We ventured into Christiansted a few times but found that we could easily walk to restaurants or the beach if we just wanted to stay close. Scott was just a text away if we were to need him. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The Pearl At Cane Bay

Absolutely loved our stay at The Pearl. This was our first time in St. Croix and our first time using VRBO. We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our stay. The house is exactly as described and was clean, beautiful and perfectly located on Cane Bay between Christiansted and Frederiksted. It was stocked with everything we could have needed for our stay. Scott the host was great and provided a ton of information on things to do on the island. The sunsets from the decks were amazing. Lots of great restaurants close by. Highlight of our trip was snorkeling the Frederiksted pier. We will be back!

This home is an absolute gem - exactly as advertised. Incredible oceanfront setting, comfortable furniture, lovely pool, easy walk to 3 beach bars/restaurants. Communication with the owner was a breeze. Truly the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken. If we could give this home a 10-star rating, we would. We absolutely love “The Pearl at Cane Bay”! We were return guests having visited last winter. The online reviews are so accurate….so clean, so comfortable, so beautifully and functionally furnished. The security provided is an added benefit. The location and balcony views are simply awesome. Such a wonderful place too soak in” God’s creation! Scott and Tammy are such wonderful hosts…we almost felt like family! Thank you! …We’ve already reserved for 2025!

Great Stay!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our St Croix vacation; the best part of our trip was The Pearl at Cane Bay. Very accurate description of property; responsive hosts; wonderful location; privacy; falling asleep and waking to the crashing waves, within walking distance to a great beach, restaurants and delicious breakfast food truck; outstanding amenities and extras (chairs, towels, and beach bags, coolers, on point suggestions for dining, sightseeing, etc.) This was a bit of a financial splurge for us (55th birthday). Ocean views to die for!

If you’re looking for a special place to stay while visiting St. Croix, this is it!! My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary in St. Croix and the Pearl made our stay incredible! You have views of the ocean whether you’re in the pool, fixing a drink in the kitchen, laying in bed, sitting on the couch, or showering! Our favorite restaurant was just one minute down the road, AMA, you have to make reservations and experience their ocean-side grotto seating. Scott was the kindest and most informative host we’ve ever worked with! Overall, 10 out of 10 recommend this vacation rental!

Awesome House & Prefect Location

This was our first time staying on St Croix and honestly this is the best house for couples, just the right size. Everything looks better in person than on VRBO, the furnishings were great and clean, the view was amazing and the breeze off the ocean was incredible, we didn't even turn the AC on. The location is amazing, 7 min walk to Off The Wall beach bar and The Landing. Only recommendation I have is maybe have a book or paper that list everything that the VRBO app does, I only suggest this because when we first got to the house we had no cell reception and I couldn't remember the WiFi password. A+++ property!

Best on the island

We’ve been vacationing in St Croix for about 15 years. This was our 9th or 10th time to the island, we’ve lost track. The Pearl at Cane Bay was by far the best house we’ve stayed at. For the price of some hotels, we had a very well appointed private house. The pool overlooking the crashing waves was one of our favorite places. For those who have been to the island, you know you have to lower expectations a bit. Some things are just more difficult to keep in good working order. This house shows that the owner goes above and beyond to make sure everything is in top condition. Which is not easy to do in the Caribbean. I can’t thank Scott (the owner) enough for making this our best St Croix trip yet. The location is also just downright awesome. Short 10 min walk to Cane bay. You can stop at Ama for some fine dining or off the wall for a low key beach bar. The Landing is perfect for lunch as well.

“The Pearl” is Truly a Gem!

We really don’t want to give an honest critique because it will only make it more difficult to reserve! The home is so comfortable and beautiful! All the positive comments online are accurate; and, the host was so accommodating and helpful. We recommend you check in first before shopping for groceries. We were pleasantly surprised that the cleaning staff left prior tenant’s “staples”…olive oil, salt, pepper, k-cups,catsup, jelly, mayo, etc. God blessed us with beautiful rainbows over the ocean and a performance of whales feeding directly in front of The Pearl! We hope to return next year! ~~Thank you!!

Uncomfortable from first day

As a previous renter stated maintenance people where present and are instructed to report to the owner anything they find irregular. We didn’t appreciate being spied on by someone that’s job is maintenance not odor detection. The owner needs to get all the facts first before accusing someone of wrong doing.

Fabulous property and location

Exactly what we were looking for, with privacy and terrific views but within walking distance of several good dining options. (Ama, in particular, was spectacular.) The on-street parking wasn't an issue at all. We were always able to park right next to the security gate (perpendicular to the street - a sliver of the space is visible at the bottom of the aerial view pic). The 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants/beach has some dark stretches at night so we were glad for our smartphone flashlights. The balcony was perfect for watching the sunset or enjoying an al fresco meal. We didn't do any actual cooking but the kitchen seemed to have all of the necessities. The wifi and smart TV worked fine. The stairs down to the bedroom were a little steep and narrow to negotiate with a large suitcase in hand. Should have unpacked upstairs, as we ended up carrying half the stuff back up anyway! Really, the only thing we didn't like was the shower head. It took a long time to wet and rinse hair on the "rain" setting but thanks to the open design of the shower, "massage" sprayed water all over the bathroom. I'm not sure the extremely-absorbent bath mat ever fully dried out after that experiment! But a minor niggle, to be sure. If we ever head back to St Croix, we will certainly be checking the availability here!

It really is as great as it looks!

This villa is without a doubt the nicest vacation rental I have ever stayed at. It was just my wife and myself, but it is large enough for 4 people without anyone feeling crowded. There are 2 bedrooms, and the only real difference between the 2 is that the upstairs one has a higher ceiling. Other than that, they are nearly identical. Both have their own bathrooms and TV's. The kitchen is very well furnished, with just about all of the equipment you would need to cook whatever you wanted. One bonus that I didn't see mentioned is that guests often leave non-perishable items for future visitors to use, like spices and condiments (and lots of unfinished bottles of adult beverages). So before you do your grocery shopping, take a peek in the cupboards first. The pool is perfect for the days when you are feeling lazy. They provide you with towels, beach chairs, floating rafts, and even an outside bathroom. Of course, you can also take those items and head to the beach which is literally a 2 minute drive west. Another great feature is the washer and dryer, which allows you to pack fewer clothes and make sure you can avoid the dreaded "damp clothes in the suitcase" smell on your trip home. The wi-fi worked fine and we never had any issues with the power. There is also a land line in the kitchen if your cell phone is misbehaving (I don't know about other providers, but Sprint coverage is very hit or miss the island). Aside from the nearby beach, there are 3 places to eat nearby. After that, you'll be driving either to Christiansted or Frederiksted, both of which can be reached in about 25 minutes. This is why you definitely want to rent a car. The parking spot inside the gate is very small, so nothing bigger than a compact car will fit. If you do have a larger vehicle, there is space to park just outside the gate. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the villa's greatest asset: the view. It is simply beautiful. All 3 levels have their own balcony, so make sure you take advantage of them as the sun sets over the mountains. IMHO, the pharmaceutical companies have yet to invent a chemical sleep aid that is more effective that the sound of waves crashing on rocks. The ocean breeze is strong enough that you don't need to close the windows and rely on the AC. I can honestly say I have zero regrets about choosing this place. Just keep in mind, this will be the place that you compare all others to.

We had a FANTASTIC stay! This was the best Vrbo/air b&b we have stayed at in a very very long time. Everything was so welcoming and comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped to cook some meals at home and bed was super comfortable. We did not have a single complaint, it was wonderful stay!

Pearls are a traditional 30th anniversary gift & The Pearl at Cane Bay did not disappoint. Our anniv was a romantic getaway we will cherish forever. Just as pictured, the home was perfect, cozy, beautifully decorated with stunning views & soothing sounds & had all the essentials needed in the kitchen, bath, closet & laundry. The island was beautiful & offered so many adventures & picture perfect backdrops. The food was delicious & the locals were friendly when greeted with Good Morning, Good Afternoon or Good Evening. Scott was always quick to respond & made us feel at home & welcomed back with his arrival & departure texts. Although we’ve not been to St John yet, STX is our favorite USVI. We will definitely be back to visit & stay at The Pearl

We absolutely loved our week long stay at the Pearl at Cane Bay! The house was stunning and more than what we even expected. The pictures do not do it justice. We loved how close it was to local restaurants and beach bars along with beaches. It was in such a great location to venture out in our Jeep rental to explore the island. We also appreciated the quick response time from Scott when we had any questions. This house comes equipped even with 2 beach chairs, a beach bag, beach towels, plus a small cooler which were used every day by us on our trip to St. Croix. We truly think this is the best place to stay in St. Croix. Falling asleep to the crashing waves every night was truly a dream come true! If we every come back to St. Croix, we will most definitely stay at the Pearl again!

This is such a beautiful place! We loved every moment here. The views are amazing and the pool was wonderful to come back to in the afternoon after exploring the island. We got breakfast from the food truck down the road and ate at The Landing a couple times. Highly recommend for great food and service. And highly recommend The Pearl. It’s the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in.

Magical stay for our 20th Anniversary!

Property was exactly how described in the listing. Pictures do not do it justice. Extremely private and secure with a gated entry. The location is absolutely amazing as it is directly on the ocean. There isn’t a bad view from anywhere in the home. The pool is lovely and just right for 2 people. The view of the ocean from the pool is absolutely stunning. The half bath outside at the pool is very convenient and had two useful floaties. The inside is stunning. The furniture is comfortable and mattress is extremely comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed(a single cup keurig and a larger coffee pot if needed/wanted). The Master Bedroom makes you feel like you are literally living on your own private island. The Master Bath has a large vanity and spacious shower with a small bench and a window with a stunning view of the ocean! They also provided beach and pool towels, a small cooler, beach bags, and beach chairs. Plenty of toiletries and even bug spray and sunscreen tanning lotion and small, pocket maps made available. You literally just need to pack some bathing suits, a few toiletries, and you are set! Scott was extremely helpful with recommendations and responded almost immediately if we had questions (which were few). Scott gave us many suggestions for dining, snorkeling, charter info for trips to Buck Island and a sunset cruise and they were all amazing. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable and relaxing vacation. Don’t miss out on this absolute gem.

Beautiful home, relaxing stay!

We spent a week at the house, and it was everything we had hoped it would be. In fact, my husband said it was better than he expected! The house is immaculate, just as described. It has all the amenities, and we spent all our mornings on the balcony drinking coffee and eating the pastries and fresh fruit we had picked up a the market, watching the waves crashing below. We found great local food a 10 min walk down the road at Spratnet Beach Bar, across from the Landing, where we ate their fried whole snapper in creole sauce (had to go back and have it again!) right on the sand overlooking the water. Also, we found Diane's Roti Master located on Centerline in between Empire Gas Station and Pizza Gusto, and her conch roti and beef roti were amazing! Sadly, we weren't there on the day they serve oxtail... Also, if you want to buy fresh local fruit and food, the Saturday morning Farmers Market at the Agricultural Fairgrounds isn't touristy, and we picked up fresh fruit, bread, and pastries. Scott was a great host, always available for texts. We asked him for advice numerous times, and he was always helpful. Also went twice to Sand Castle on the Beach in Frederiksted where the day pass is only 15/person if you bring your own towel! The water there is crystal clear and pure bliss. Scott supplies an extensive list of things to do all over the island, and they are all great suggestions. We would happily stay there again!

Paradise!

I don’t even know where to start on this review. From the time we booked it until we checked out everything went so smoothly. Communication with Scott was so easy and he was readily available anytime we had a question or needed anything at all. The home is absolutely stunning! The pictures show a true representation of this beautiful place but they just can’t quite capture how truly amazing it really is. We spent all of our time outdoors on the decks or enjoying the pool. Seeing and hearing the ocean every morning when we woke up and the sound of it lulling us to sleep every night was heavenly. The home is very beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. The kitchen was also well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils and even some spices. The furniture was all very comfortable and the bed was so cozy. We loved that it was walkable to a few really good restaurants/bars and a beautiful beach. We loved it all so much we have already booked our trip back next year!

The Pearl Is Truly A "Gem"

This was our 3rd year at "The Pearl". That, in itself, should tell you we Love it! The home is furnished beautifully and provisioned with everything you need...plus more! The views are gorgeous with outside areas that are shaded or sunny...whatever your preference. It is a gated property with a security system so safety is not a concern. Scott & Tammy are WONDERFUL hosts...so thoughtful and also so prompt should a question or issue arise. When we arrived, we felt "at home" almost immediately! We are blessed by "finding" The Pearl for our visits to St Croix!

Oceanfront perfection

This was our second time staying at this property, and we cannot wait to return for a third visit! This home is luxurious, private, clean, well equipped with beach chairs, towels, pool items, and a full kitchen, and best of all, perfectly situated above the Caribbean waves. We saw rainbows each day, watched for the pelicans, sipped rum by pool, and looked forward to returning each day after hiking or enjoying the gorgeous beaches. Scott, the property owner, was easily reachable. Really, this place is perfection.
