NEWLY RENOVATED POST HURRICANE
Island is continuing to rebuild, there is some construction.

Park your car in our free mainland lot and ride the free ferry Little Gasparilla Island, offering fantastic beaches, sunsets, and much more. This island offers a unique experience that is fun for families, snowbirds, and fishermen alike. There are no restaurants on the island, no high-rise condos, and no traffic. We leave all of that behind and come prepared with lots of food to cook, a book to read, and fishing poles.

The boat dock accommodates boats up to 24 feet. The dock has water and electricity. Dockage is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

THE SPACE:
Our condo is three stories high. The ground floor is a garage holding all your needs: charcoal grill (bring charcoal), beach chairs and umbrellas, toys, and paddle boards. The unit is stocked with quality amenities that we personally enjoy, including two inflatable kayaks (SUPs).

The second floor (main living area) includes the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom, and screened-in porch.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, toaster — everything you need to cook a full meal. Plenty of seating with round table and banquette.

Living room has couch and love seat. TV with Roku. Ceiling fan.

The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed. Ceiling fan and blackout curtains. TV with Roku. Full primary bath with tub.

The screened-in porch has two love seats and a ceiling fan. Enjoy your coffee here and watch the sunrise. Full-sized washer and dryer located behind folding doors. LOTS of beach towels.

The third floor is a loft with two queen-sized beds, two twin beds, and its own bathroom. TV with Roku.

GOLF CART ACCESS INCLUDED

For added convenience, a golf cart is included with your stay as a courtesy to help you explore the property, travel to and from the dock, or simply enjoy the scenery. It’s ideal for transporting beach gear, groceries, or taking a relaxing sunset ride.

IMPORTANT GOLF CART TERMS:
‱ The cart is provided as a courtesy amenity — not a guaranteed feature.
‱ In the event of a breakdown, a $75/night refund will be issued for each night the cart is unavailable.
‱ Use of the golf cart is restricted to the Hideaway property only. Driving the cart outside the property or through flooded grounds (such as after heavy rain) is strictly prohibited.
‱ Failure to comply with usage rules may result in immediate revocation of cart privileges without a refund or credit.
‱ Drivers must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

Please treat the golf cart with care and respect so that future guests can enjoy it too.

Enjoyed our stay

Loved the location as it is centrally located to the beach, ferry and pool. Due to the hurricanes, though the area is still in a state of disrepair with garbage piled in many places and muddy standing water. The owners were very attentive and kind. They had their condo ready for renters. The golf cart was a big plus. The ferry captains were especially friendly and observant of safety and weather conditions. The beach was amazing of course. Very few people on the beach or pool. The boardwalk to beach is in excellent condition.

Spring Break

Lee and Peter were very prompt with their communications and the unit was well stocked. Our family had a great time on the island and enjoyed the use of the golf cart and the heated pool on the property. The beach was just a short walk from the condo and we had a blast looking for shells and shark teeth. The island is still recovering from some past storms but everyone we met was very cheerful and friendly and we will definitely plan to be back for future trips. My 8 year old son gives it a 14 out of 10.

Island time

This property provides exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, private, beach, relaxing!! The kids enjoyed the beach and the pool as well as hunting for the crazy amount of shark teeth on the island. Bug spray is a must but we knew that and had some already but the owner also had some. The place is modern and clean and comfortable beds. Owners are clear about everything and wonderful to communicate with. Great stay!!

Better than advertised!

We booked our stay in C3 at Hideaway Bay with the condo's previous owners and were grateful that they honored our rental so that we could still visit LGI! We visited LGI about a year ago and fell in love with the island's beaches, charm and safe atmosphere. We were very fortunate to already know what to expect in terms of using the Ferry, getting around the island, and bringing food. Our only communication with the owners has been positive and we had no issues at all during our stay. That said, there is ALOT not listed in the VRBO details that future renters may find helpful. FERRY: Please pay close attention to the Ferry schedule. You should plan to arrive at the Ferry location at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Once you arrive, you will unload all your items onto a cart (or 2!), then go park your vehicle across the street in the gated lot. Then return to wait for the ferry. Be sure you have all paperwork filled out and the blue tags (one in your vehicle, one with you to get on the ferry). Also, while waiting for the Ferry, you'll need to go in the little screened-in building to sign in for the coast guard. (Just initial and give your unit number.) FOOD: People at LGI are wonderful and typically above average. :) We have found that there are usually plenty of unexpected pantry "treats" left behind by former guests who did not want to take those items back home. We found brownie mix, sunscreen, paper plates, and spaghetti sauce. This is always fun and we enjoy paying it forward by leaving extra TP and non-perishable items. That said, bring what you NEED, but don't stress about the things that are NOT listed by the owner! We saw a list IN the condo of all the things we could expect upon arrival (a bit late, but that's OK - that's what I'm trying to remedy here). Items that THIS OWNER has provided: Toilet paper, clorox wipes, paper towels, garbage bags, coffee filters, basic spices, all cooking pans & utensils, crock pot, sunscreen, beach chairs, floats, beach towels. They really have been very generous to try and accommodate all the needs of their guests. TO DO: 1. Sit by the beach. duh. ;) 2. Go shelling/search for shark teeth. I highly recommend checking out the tide schedule for low tide "hunting" trips! 3. Go exploring! LGI is an absolute treasure. THERE IS A MAP of LGI somewhere in the unit - find it and use it! There's a cute gallery/gift shop you can find as well. HAVE FUN! LGI is amazing!

Island Paradise

We stayed at this condo over 4th of July weekend 2022. Everything was fantastic starting with the convenient water ferry ride over. Once we got checked in we hopped in the golf cart to explore the island. The condo is equipped with everything you need including tubes, paddleboards and chairs for the beach. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you to Peter and Lee for their hospitality.

Absolute Paradise

Beautiful condo was well stocked with everything we might need for the most amazing week. Loved enjoying the peacefulness of the beach every day and the getting to know the many friendly guests and residents of the island. Perfect place to go to get away from it all and enjoy some stillness. The pictures seem almost too good to be true but we were not disappointed- in fact our trip was even better than we could have ever imagined. Can’t wait to go back and visit our new found paradise.

Nice to get away

We love coming to LGI and staying at the Hideaway's was a good choice with the trash pickup, free ferry and 2 golf carts to use at the Leerdams' Rental was AWESOME! They were helpful and friendly when we could figure out the cart charging routine but once that was solved all was good. Their place comes fully stocked; we have stayed at other rentals of like sites in the past and I do me FULLY STOCKED. We were very happy with this stay and would recommend to others or revisit as time/finances allow.

Island paradise

Our family of 6 had a wonderful vacation at this Hideaway condo. It has everything you need for an island getaway & more. Some highlights for our family were the boat slip, golf cart, beach chairs, Cabana shade, paddle boards & beach towels provided. When you have to be inside, you’ll find a well stocked kitchen and great sized bedrooms with extremely comfy beds. To top it off, Peter & Lee are such responsive and accommodating hosts. It truly is a beach and boat lovers paradise!

This property was PERFECT for our family of 3. Beautifully decorated, great amenities, comfy and perfect location. The owners clearly put a lot of thought and love into this property and it shows. They provide everything you could possibly need...even all of the beach stuff.Would highly recommend this property!

Paradise on Earth

Spent several days here celebrating my friends birthday. It was lovely. The condo was clean and had everything we needed to prepare food. The owner Lee went above and beyond and quickly responded to any questions I had. The beaches were so clean, not busy, and water was warm and clear.

We are a family of 4. My daughters and I love relaxing on the beach or cooling off in the pool. My husband is constantly headed off on an adventure trying to catch a fish off the boat or from the beach. At the end of the day we head to watch the sunset and exchange stories of our day.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My family purchased this property after renting on the island for many years in both homes and at the Hideaway. Ultimately the conveniences of the Hideaway won us over. The parking, the ferry, the dock, the pool, the ice machine, the garbage collection, and the location check all the boxes. Plus its a friendly environment and we always meet new people and make friendships.

We offer our unit so your experience matches ours, providing the same quality conveniences we would expect on a vacation such as quality internet, inflatable paddle boards, a golf cart, and attention to little details such as a cool cabana for shade on the beach.
