Historic Stagecoach private home, beautiful pool, close to Sea World & Lackland

Cardinal Pointe Stagecoach station is part of the old Wurzbach homestead built in 1906. Situated on over 15 acres of private ranch land the Station is surrounded by over a thousand acres of undeveloped cattle land, but less than 25 minutes to most main attractions like Sea World, Magic Mountain, and the Riverwalk. The Stagecoach Station was originally a stagecoach supply station. A perfect getaway for a couple, or a place to focus on a work project away from it all. Enjoy the pool(warm months) or a long hike or just the calm peace of the ranch.

First trip to San Antonio

My husband and I came to San Antonio for the solar eclipse. The Stage Coach house is on the west side of San Antonio which was perfect for us. The house is located not too far from Sea World if that is somewhere you would like to visit. It's approximately 30 minutes from downtown, the Alamo and the River Walk.This small house was perfect for the 2 of us. We were welcomed by Jason the ranch hand as we arrived. He is one of the kindest people ever. Definitely a bonus to the place. He told us a bit about the history of the house. A binder with the history of the house, nearby activities and restaurants would have been helpful. There is a small kitchen with just the basics. Only enough silver ware for 1 and 1/2 and no condiments. This was fine for us as we dined out. A nice place overall.

Wonderful Time

We loved the historic stage stop we stayed in. So peaceful and quiet. It's sad that a housing development is being built all around this beautiful place! A bonus was Daisy. This sweetheart of a dog was there to gently greet us everyday. Would definitely stay here again. The summer will be ideal so we can take advantage of the pool.

Gorgeous grounds, bright texas stars

This property was just gorgeous!!! Even more beautiful in person!! Just on the outskirts of town and then ur on then ranch!! It exceeded my expectations and the listing oooked gorgeous to begin w. Felt safer parking my car here, gated, at night than a hotel in town. And at same cost was a no brainer. It’s a historical marker and the owners were so friendly and helpful. But then they were pretty much out of site.

Peaceful Location

Just loved this place. Our place was nicely put together and felt very cozy. The outdoor area was well maintained. I loved the different areas to sit and read/work or just relax. Our host was very helpful in telling us about the area and also what is close by. It was close enough to San Antonio and other places without all the noise and traffic. Quick drive to grocery store, restaurants and other amenities if you need them. Will definitely book this place the next time we are this way.

What a wonderful experience. Walter and Monica were absolutely charming. Jason “the helper” was just that, extremely helpful. The unit was clean and nicely appointed. All the amenities were more than we expected. My wife and I enjoyed watching Jason feed the cows and chickens. The miniature goats were a real treat. I feel as though we’ve made new friends. We could not recommend this stay more highly.

Incredible Stay and Will Be Back Soon!

The minute I got out of the car, the chickens came to greet me, then the cat named Whiskers and I toured the property, swinging on a tire swing, swinging on a bench swing and then laid in the hammock for a while, taking in all the beauty and peacefulness of the property. Fantastic and comfortable room and wonderful conversations with the owners by the fire at night. Everything I needed and then more!!! Wonderful stay!

Great place

Was in town on business and wanted to stay some place quite and not have to eat out for every meal. Found this property to be a perfect fit, was able to cook stakes on the grill each night and enjoyed getting to know the property managers...great people.

Beautiful

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts. The guesthouse was inviting. Walt & Monica thought of everything for their guests with so many extras. We appreciated it very much. We loved the history of the property. The property is close proximity to everything but feels like a retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Wonderful communication. We look forward to visiting again. There is also a larger guesthouse on the property available to rent if you have a larger group.

Quick relaxing stay

We stayed 2 nights because our daughter graduated BMT at Lackland Air Force base. The drive is about 20 min to/from the base. If your leaving early get the gate code. The hosts were super quick to offer assistance if needed. Size of the place was perfect for the 2 of us. Towels were amazing. Quiet and peaceful there however we didn’t have the time to enjoy the hike around the farm. We did enjoy the pool one night which was wonderful and clean. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

The perfect place

The property was very close to Sea World and an short drive to The Alamo and the River Walk in San Antonio. The owners have thought of everything in making this place an inviting and welcome place for a quiet get away. We highly recommend it!!!

Amazing Breeze!

I decided to take my kids and I on a local getaway and came across this place. It was perfect! The cute historical guest house was just right for us. I had brought my own food and pellets to cook on the Tregor. Food came out delicious. The owner was kind enough to show me how to use it. The pool was perfect, and they have a basketball and volleyball setup. Just so happened there was another family on the property so my kids and theirs had so much fun together! Overall, yes I would recommend this place! It was beautiful, peaceful, wonderful breeze and just a relaxing vibe.

Relaxing Getaway @ Historic Stagecoach House❀

We had a terrific time at the historic Stagecoach House! Enjoyed the character @ charm of the house as well as the pool, the land, & how close it was to all the popular attractions, but were still away from the hustle & bustle of the city. The house was perfect size for two. If we’re ever back in San Antonio, we would stay here in a heartbeat...owners were super hospitable, Thanks for a great vacation!

A Quiet Escape from San Antonio

While San Antonio may have everything a big city has , noise included, this property is a very quiet respite from the big city. It close enough to enjoy San Antonio but removed enough that you can have a quiet day if that's what is desired. The pol is wonderful! I didn't realize how much I needed to relax and float in the pool until I did it. It took away all the stress of the past 14 hours of driving away. Walt and Monica were great host's that live on the property. They were willing to have conversations with us if we wanted or would leave us be if that's what we wanted. Just a wonderful time!
