We had an awesome stay at the 1776 RV and Campground in Mentone AL. Mr. Bob and staff were very pleasurable to be around. The Campground was very clean as well as the RV we stayed in. Thank you again Mr. Bob for your kindness and caring personality. We look forward to staying there again soon. God Bless you all.
The guy met us to give us the key with a quick explanation of locking the door. Was quick to reply to any texts. The campsite is small, quiet and clean. We did not check out eh property or the bathhouse. The shower in camper was very nice. Camper is roomy. We only needed it for a couple of waking hours amd for sleep as we were gone the rest of the time. The camper could use a good cleaning but I do clean homes for a living. I notice everything. Lol many cobwebs throughout most corners and near ceilings. Toilet wasnt too clean. The beds and kitchen were clean with the exception of the inside of the microwave. Coffee pot could use a good cleaning or just buy another one. The dirty coffee maker was actually the 1st thing I noticed. 2 of the pillows did not have pillow cases so I wouldnt use them. The tv plays very well with a very clear picture. It's antenna only which I'm fine with as that's what I use at home. They didnt have many channels but I did rescan and got about 15/20 more. We dont watch much tv and hate sports so it wasnt a problem for us at all. Great location. Only a couple miles in to Mentone. And only a few miles to the Georgia state line. Our phones actually showed Georgia time zone while in the cabin so be aware if you have reservations or appointments in Ft. Payne or Mentone. We were on Eastern Time zone most of the time at the RV although sometimes it would change back to Central in certain parts of the RV. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
My boyfriend and I stayed here over Veteranâs Day weekend and we could not have been more pleased! Not only was the RV great but it is close to everything: downtown Mentone, Desoto, etc. the owners and property manager were very nice and accessible. We will definitely stay there again!
Location couldnât of been any better! The camper was great size, nice and clean! Our family had a great time and will definitely book again! Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with our family.
We came to Mentone for our 30th wedding anniversary and my husband made the booking. Let me say it was a wonderful stay. The campground was immaculate and the owner checked on us at least twice in the 3 days we were there. The camper was very clean and had all of the things we needed. The only draw back would be (especially for us sports fans wanting to watch Saturday game day) would be for them to add in satellite or cable tv.. We would definitely stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The RV was spacious and spotless. The park was well kept and so peaceful. The hosts were super nice and communication was excellent!! Many thanks!
Easy experience, great little campground, quiet as a mouse around there. It rained the whole weekend, but we set up a tailgate canopy over the fire pit and had a fire going most on the time. Bathhouse clean and simple. One warning, the big beautiful TV in the pictures works but is not connected to cable or satellite, so itâs a standard antenna, which means few channels and spotty reception (I am sure the rain didnât help). Wifi was strong for laptop watching though. Duke the cat will come climb in your nap to welcome you.
Overall, good experience.
The property was as described and clean. We enjoyed the convenience of the shower in the camper, but yet facilities close by. The best asset this property has is John who is there for any of your needs. Would definitely stay again.
Great little campground with chairs near the creek, fire pit and access to everything. We are renovating a camper and it was great to be able to stay in one that was complete. The owners provided everything and answered questions as well. We arrived in the dark and were greeted by Duke, the resident cat who pretends that he is neglected and wants treats for his acting debut. A great place and a wonderful time to stay somewhere different.
Property was like posted on internet. Only one real issue. No hot water until second night there. The property manager was helpful and very nice. I feel the property owner should have communicated better with the property manager to solve the issue.
The campground is very clean and quiet! We were able to unplug and disconnect from the hustle of city life. The camper was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The bath house was one of the cleanest we have come across in our many adventures at campgrounds. We love what they stand for too! The best small town we have visited in a very long time. If you are there on Saturday be sure to check out the farmers market! We will definitely be back and highly recommended.
We booked last min for a spur of the moment anniversary trip. Not many choices left since it was spur of the monet but I am so glad because I may have missed out on this place!! Hostess called to check on arrival time so she could answer any questions we might have. We arrived late at night but she still greeted us and made it known she was available any time for any questions or concerns we might have. She also checked in during our stay just to make sure we had everything we needed. Small campground so it was quite. HUGE, roomy, beautiful camper! Lots of restaurants in the area to chose from. Beautiful waterfalls a short drive away. Would stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay this was our first RV and camping experience the camp ground was clean we enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the creek very relaxing and also has a nice bath house our host was very nice and there to help in any way she could hope to go back soon
