Golden Glow Getaway at Tamarron Resort (HighPoint #638) is our studio condo featuring a full kitchen, one full bath with modern updates, and a private deck in a beautiful scenic valley in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. Wifi speeds are appx 100+ mbps. Our Tamarron rental guests can play Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course at an exclusive discounted rate. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.

King bed, full kitchen with large fridge and stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, crockpot. The deck facing east views of pine trees, red cliffs, and a little bit of the golf course has bar height seating with a table to enjoy coffee or meals outside. Large flat screen TV, fireplace.

ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE INCLUDE: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, golf at a special discounted rate, tennis, pickleball, playground, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities.

This condo meet, and exceeded all our expectations.

Perfect location, with great pools and gym plus everyday breakfast on the balcony with unbelievable view will stay in our memory forever. We will get back next year, I hope.

Perfect for a couple

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the mountain view was beautiful. This is a small studio condo, but perfect for a couple. Had everything we were looking for: king-size bed, gas fireplace, decent sized bathroom with shower, and a deck with a mountain view. Location was about 15 minutes from downtown Durango, but easy to get to and located on a nice golf course property.

Outstanding Vacation Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First of all the location can’t be beat! Situated on the edge of a canyon, with the mountains right behind it! Right off of HWY 550, the Million Dollar Highway! Incredible views just up the road! Plus close to Durango and anything you might need or want to do! The room itself is very comfy and plenty of amenities. The bed is so comfortable, that we wish we could take it with us! The view off the back deck was amazing! The staff at VRC were very attentive and easy to work with. And on top of it all the cost was very reasonable!

Mountain Paradise

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The views are amazing from the back deck! We loved having a 'full-size' kitchen. We saved a lot by cooking at home! FYI, the refrigerator has a leak that caused the first shelf to collect the water and then it froze. I cleaned it out. Also, the roof was being repaired and there was a constant noise from the workers installing the new metal panels. It would have been nice to know that in advance.

This room has potential

The view from the back porch is stunning and the location is quiet. I have a few suggestions that can make it comfortable and accommodating. The only place to sit is a love seat. There are 4 large wood pieces of furniture lining the walls and 3 of them are useless. Keep the piece with the large drawers and replace the rest with some comfortable seating. There are 6 lamps in this one room, replace with a dimmable light kit for the fan. The pillows and bed have seen better days, replace the two worn out pillows with fresh ones and offer more of a variety. People are paying a lot of money to stay, relax and be comfortable and this place has the potential to offer it.

Had a few hiccups with the cable box & the fireplace & Carlos the front desk employee was horrible acted like he could care less about helping, but Ray that worked at the facility was a such a big help & took care of us & he really cared. Also a big shout out to Vacation Rental Collective & our agent Anna Mackey for also helping & making our Anniversary wonderful!! This company really cares about their guests & will help in every way they can to make it a fantastic vacation & an incredible stay!! Thank you so much & will definitely will be using this company in the future on many other vacations!

Great choice of accommodation!

The condo was lovely and very clean. Everything you need is provided. The only thing we bought was the food we wanted while there. There is an iron/board and blow dryer for those who need them. The fireplace does warm the place up nicely and is pretty. The bed is fantastic! The view is nice from the balcony too! No table for eating inside. We ate on the balcony. If it was very cold, there is a nice big coffee table in the sofa area. Would love to stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay. Condo was clean and perfect for just the 2 of us. View was fantastic. Sink smelled like mildew on arrival and bulb in closet would not work. Overall however a pleasant experience. Just dumped a little vinegar in the sink and it was good. Tried to replace bulb but could not get it to work. The property is maintained well. There was some roof work going on for maintenance, but we were up and headed out by the time that got going. So the noise factor was minor. Glad to see them doing the work. I assume its the off season right now. Good stay overall.

Perfect Location and Very Comfortable!

Close enough to Durango for convenience but far enough away to feel some privacy and quiet! Plus being located on Hwy 550, the Million Dollar Highway was great for Denice drives and great for hiking! Studio was nicely appointed and roomy enough for my wife and I. The restaurants onsite were both top notch and the facilities were good. We found the staff throughout the property were friendly and helpful. The golf course was beautiful and fun to play. But the best part was our view from the balcony overlooking the canyon below!

Beautiful grounds and views from balcony. Decent kitchen but inadequately stocked. No large pots for pasta limited storage containers for left overs maybe some Saran Wrap? Larger sheet pan for cooking. Didn’t like open garbage can for kitchen refuse. Bathroom supplies lacked. More than 1 shampoo would be nice. Decor was great as was seating and tv. Balcony windows were dirty which made beautiful view less nice from inside. For 2 this is a nice room.

Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at this condo, and the overall experience was very good. The condo was warm and inviting, and overall cleanliness standards were up to par. There are three recommendations: More de-cluttering of the main closet & utility closet; deeper cleaning behind the bed and couch; there is a maintenance issue with the refrigerator--poor defrost cycle, with water collecting in the bottom of the unit. There should be a "No Parking" designation in front of the sidewalks that leads up to the condos.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay for the most part, but it was further from Durango than we expected and our room had some issues. The dishwasher did not work, the shower door leaked water all over the floor when used, and the refrigerator froze all of our food and ruined all our fresh produce. There was only one chair at the little table for eating at, and they did bring us another on the last day we stayed there. Those are all fairly minor things, but I would not stay there again or recommend to friends or family.

Great view, OK unit

This small studio's best feature is probably it's setting and view from the balcony, which is fabulous. The pictures are a fair representation of what it's like and while the studio itself is nice enough, it could use a bit of investment. Things like cooking supplies, towels, linens and toiletries were all quite nice. But the mattress is starting to sag in places, the lighting is mostly from floor lamps so it's never really bright inside the living area, and the furniture is a bit oversized for the small space. There were also some dirty kitchen utensils which is a bit frustrating when cleaning fees are so significant (implying the place will be meticulously clean) and then one still must clean things up oneself prior to being able to use the place. But such is the homeshare rental market. Anyway, I wouldn't avoid this unit but I also wouldn't particularly seek it out. It'll get the job done. Acess to the gym/spa/sauna is an excellent and welcome amenity.
