Complex was nice and the property was greatMy only negative (beyond the control of the property owner) is that multiple properties use the same beach area which compresses a lot of people into a narrow stretch of beach. Even with chair service we were still 4 rows off the water.

The home was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better LOCATION. Just a short walk to Peddlers Pavilion, Alys Beach, and Rosemary Beach Town Center. Excellent dining and shopping with live music every evening. The house was beautifully decorated. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of bath towels. Our kids especially loved the BALCONY. Beds and pillows were very COMFORTABLE and there were 9 BEACH CHAIRS and 2 umbrellas (one large, one small) available for our use. The beach itself was crowded, and beach service was sold out, but we adjusted and had front row chairs and umbrellas 6 of our 7 days there. Very quiet and CHARMING neighborhood. Jill was an excellent hostess and just a phone or text away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GEM!!!

Beautiful and well appointed home!

This is a beautiful home! We had everything we needed for an easy stay for a family. The beds are very comfortable. We loved having 3 full bathrooms. We used the grill daily. My kids loved the pool. We did end up driving to another beach close by bc Seacrest private beach was too crowded for our taste - but that was less than a 5 min drive. No big deal! The house is an easy 5 min walk into Rosemary.

June 2024

Sun and Sea is a wonderful property. As stated in the description and positive reviews - the property is very nice, well cared for, comfortable and even cozy, and just about as close to the beach as you can get. The property is located between Rosemary, and Alys, which is literally just a two minute bike ride in either direction, which is preferable to us. On top of that, the host, Jill, is very thorough and very easy to work with. I really do not see how you can go wrong with this decision. Enjoy… 😊

Meh...at best

The home itself had great space for our family. What was disappointing was the lack of hand soaps in bathrooms, cooking oil, salt and pepper, and other basics. Every other vrbo we have been at included basic spices and cooking oil. Some included other items such as flour and sugar. Things that you use in everyday cooking. The courtesy is that if you use all of something, you replace it. Enough to start was understood but that was not the case at all. We also thought the exclusive beach meant just that community south of 30A. Trams brought in literally hundreds of people and made the beach super crowded and not enjoyable. A number of restaurants in walking distance would not allow our 15&17 year old for an evening dinner. Their policies restrict dining to over 18 after 130pm. The unexclusive beach also limited the use of tents. Beach goers are restricted to umbrellas. This policy makes the beach even more unenjoyable. So, since the beach was a bust, the pool is a second option. However, there is very limited seating and there are no umbrellas or other shade basically making use of it limited to a short period unless you are wanting to bake in the sun. Maybe the fact that it is heated would make it a good option during the off months. The owner was responsive to issues that came up during the stay and had maintenance resolve them immediately. The kitchen cookware and utensils were as expected and the grill on the patio was nice. Not a good choice for summer beach trip.

Barb, Thank you for your review. As far as supplying basic cooking essentials, such as oils, flour, sugar, that is a safety/sanitary issue. We instruct our cleaners to dispose of all food and drink left from the previous renter. It is also a liability issue. Yes, Florida beaches tend to get a little crowded during the popular months which is June and July. The beach at Sunset is shared only with the Seacrest community which sits directly across the street. In addition, tents, that is also a safety factor. When you set up tents that go all the way to the ground it limits the beach goers visibility to keep an eye on their loved ones that are swimming in the gulf. They also block seeing the beautiful views. Umbrellas and beach cabana/shades without sides are permitted. I was not aware of any such policy at the restaurants. My family vacations all times of the year and we have enjoyed many of the walkable dining establishments all up and down 30A. I hope this clears up some of the comments from your review. Good luck to you with your future rental experiences.

Great family vacation

We loved our stay - the house was fantastic and had a great location. It’s an easy walk to the restaurants in the peddler area and in Rosemary beach. The only downside is that the beach area, in which you can bring your own umbrella is very small and therefore very crowded. But it’s and easy walk to both the beach and the pool.

Rosemarys best kept secret

This was our first time staying in the Rosemary Beach area. We did not know exactly what to expect. We lucked into this wonderful house and location. The house is very clean and comfortable. The location to the beach and pool is just as stated (80-100 paces). It is perfectly situated between the shops at Rosemary Beach and restaurants at Alys Beach. Everything is walkable or we preferred the bicycles. We were surprised at how nice the gas grill was and it came in handy when we needed a break from eating out. One thing to note for visitors is that you must be wearing your wristbands anytime you leave the gated community because you must have them on to return. The guards were very vigilant about checking them. Overall, we loved our time in Rosemary and in this home. We definitely plan to return!

No complaints! Having the grill in the courtyard was amazing for us! We prefer to cook at home and having the grill made that even more pleasurable. Centrally located. Pool, beach and shops are all within walking distance. Will recommend to friends and family.
