Perfect location 1 mile from the New River Gorge Bridge in the heart of downtown Fayetteville. Cozy, fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment within walking distance to all town amenities. Make this your home away from home. Off street free parking, wifi, queen bed, and smart TV. Walk to breakfast at Cathedral Cafe or Wood Iron Eatery and then later walk to dinner at Pies N Pints or Firecreek Ribs & Steaks.
Overall great experience. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Anything else needed was a short drive away. Walmart was 5 minutes away, so very convenient to pick up anything we needed. The town park with trial access was also within walking distance, but we chose to drive to the national park visitor center about 5 minutes away to get maps and drive on from there. The property was as described, a small condo/apartment type. Some kitchen things were missing, but we made do without them (pizza cutter, baking sheet, cooking spray). Cooking oil, oven mitts, cups, plates, silverware, etc. were all available in the property. I would definitely stay here again!
The apartment was updated, nicely decorated and is a good size for 2 people. The TV reception was horrible. Roaches appeared on our last night and the next morning when leaving. Bedroom is along the main street so there is road noise all night long.
This apartment is centrally located to all the great restaurants and easy access to bike or drive to the park. The owners are exceptionally responsive to messages. I would stay here again to visit Fayetteville.
I heard somewhere that owners should spend the night in their rentals occasionally to make sure the property is up to par. That would be helpful here. Upon entry, the clean looking, neat apartment has a musty odor. As I walked through the shotgun layout my balance was challenged by the increasing unevenness of the floor. Once used to these things, and the traffic noises (since the room is about 30 feet from an intersection) we could appreciate how close we were to restaurants, shops and all the area's adventure opportunities. The kitchen was nice with full sized new appliances, and the furniture was fine. However, to make the unit more appealing: add towel racks in the bathroom as there is nowhere to hang wet items; fix the bathroom door so it will close; add a washer to the bathroom faucet so water isn't sprayed everywhere; fix the bathroom fan so it turns on; caulk around the kitchen sink so water doesn't run under it when dishes are washed. It would be nice to have a few more basics like bath soap and shampoo, and if you list a Keurig coffee maker, have plain coffee pods for it. Simple changes that could make a world of difference! I was also surprised that I was asked to strip my own bed, gather my linens, and take out my trash when I had paid a cleaning fee.
Nicely appointed 1BR apartment near historic downtown
A recently redone and very nicely appointed small apartment above shops. I didnât, but one could cook a meal in the kitchen. Breakfast bar/ 2 person table had new keurig machine with selection of coffee and tea. Memory foam mattress on the queen bed. Walk up stairs to second floor back of building entrance; with parking front or back. I noticed traffic noise beginning about 7am, but as I was already awake to go hiking, that wasnât a problem. About 10 minutes from canyon rim visitor center, and 45 from Grandview. Several tasty, local, friendly artisan restaurants within walking distance and more a short drive. Great base for a visit to the national park for 1-2 people.
