Beautiful Mountain Studio at Rumbling Bald with Views, Pools, Golf & Restaurants

Welcome to the Blue Ridge Mountains! This one bedroom studio in the Rumbling Bald Resort is close to Chimney Rock, Asheville, Hendersonville and Tryon. It's the perfect start to adventure or relaxation! The unit has hardwood flooring through the living space and tile in the bathroom areas. It boasts one of the best views in the entire complex.
Apple Valley Villas is a cozy spot with all the basic amenities you need during your visit to the Lake Lure area. The space is equipped with a kitchen, full bathroom and a living room/sleeping area. The tv can be enjoyed from any area in the room. The king sized bed is plenty of space for two people to rest comfortably. If you need additional sleeping area, there is also a sleeper loveseat available. Its double size can comfortably sleep two children or one adult. Almost any meal could be prepared in the villa using the cooktop, microwave or toaster oven. Enjoy a complimentary pot of coffee on your first morning. Step out onto the balcony for a breath of fresh air. Settle into one of the four outdoor chairs and read a good book or just relax.

Guest passes are complimentary with your reservation to access the member areas of the Rumbling Bald Resort, including two outdoor pools (seasonal), spa complex with indoor pool and exercise room, miniature golf, boating, hiking and two championship golf courses. On site restaurants offer delicious and readily available options. All six passes must be left in the unit after checkout or a $30.00 replacement fee will apply.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

The villa was perfect for what we needed - quiet in an idyllic setting. While not located in Rumbling Bald Resort, it is a quick five minute drive from the resort and all its amenities. My pup and I enjoyed coffee at The Bear’s Cup each morning and enjoyed walking around the resort. The entire resort is very dog friendly, and even has a dog park! Lake Lure is well on its way to restoration after the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene. I encourage people to visit as there are local restaurants and businesses who would appreciate the support! There are several restaurants nearby who serve great food and even a little farmers market.

Not clean or well-maintained

The unit is just not clean or well-maintained. There was a lot of dust everywhere (enough for my daughter to write her name) and crumbs/hair throughout the kitchen area. The bathroom floor (toilet area smelled of urine) and especially bathroom area rugs could use a very deep clean and the unit overwhelmingly smells like wet dog. The AC unit had visible mold and was not functioning correctly. The owner simply said she would let the cleaning team know. I would definitely stay in one of the other Apple Valley Villas in the future but not this one.

We had a wonderful 2 night getaway. The property was lovely. We didn’t spend a lot of time there but it was comfortable, clean, cute, and convenient! We would definitely book it again!

Great stay!

Everything was great! Mine only gripes would be there was a lot of dog hair on the bed sheets and on the couch. Other than that it was clean we wish the vacuum worked better to clean up our own messes it wouldn’t suck very well. But the place was nice and was very close to the resort easy for our little ones to make it to and from.

Charming and clean condominium

This condominium was perfect for me as a single traveler. Everything I needed. Plus it was spotless! It has a beautiful view and a very central location if you’re interested in the lake lure or chimney rock area. Great hiking!

Has a wonderful time, property was clean and homey. A book of nearby ammenities, such as a grocery store, would have been great. The little gas station across the street was stocked ok, but prices were insanley high. Lack of cell signal in the area made it difficult to look up nearby grocery stores.

Perfect Studio

The perfect studio for active folks mainly looking for a place to regroup and sleep. We were at Lake Lure for a family reunion and rented two additional large homes as a base for family dinners. The majority of our days were spent on the lake, hiking or enjoying the amenities of Rambling Bald. The bathroom layout was perfect for adults - having the shower and toilet together and then a separate vanity and dressing area. The kitchen was perfect for preparing a light breakfast and prepping lunches to go. My favorite thing about the unit was the beautiful porch. The perfect place for morning tea and watching the sun rise. The only improvement would be with the beds. The king mattress was soft and I would only recommend the pullout for children. As an adult, the only way to sleep comfortably was to put the mattress on the floor. All in all though the studio was very nice and served our needs well! Casey the host was easy to work with and always responded when I had a question.

We are real estate investors who have put our passion into each of our homes. We take all the extra steps to ensure that each guest will have a warm, welcoming, clean and comfortable place to stay when exploring and enjoying this beautiful area.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Lake Lure area has become a very special area to us because of my husband and his family. They grew up coming here and their parents always wanted to own their a property up here. My husband and I took the plunge with them in 2020 and also purchased a villa. We have enjoyed it so much that we acquired this one in 2021.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This is a budget friendly property with the perfect amount of space for a couple or a family. The views from the balcony are beautiful and it's the gateway to explore all that the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock areas have to offer. The added benefit guests have is access to the members only areas of the Rumbling Bald Resort for $5 per guest.
